ATTIVITA’ DI RICERCA<br />
Si occupa principalmente della caratterizzazione farmacologica in vivo, nel ratto, <strong>di</strong> una<br />
famiglia <strong>di</strong> composti sintetici, denominati growth hormone secretagogues (GHS), attivi sui<br />
meccanismi centrali <strong>di</strong> controllo delle secrezioni ormonali dell’adenoipofisi e della<br />
determinazione delle variazioni nell'espressione genica da loro indotte. E' inoltre<br />
impegnata in ricerche atte a chiarire i meccanismi attraverso cui i GHS sintetici e naturali<br />
sono in grado <strong>di</strong> mo<strong>di</strong>ficare alcune funzioni extraendocrine nel ratto, in particolare l’attività<br />
car<strong>di</strong>ovascolare, me<strong>di</strong>ante esperimenti <strong>di</strong> perfusione d'organo in vitro e il comportamento<br />
alimentare.<br />
E' coinvolta nella caratterizzazione <strong>di</strong> un modello sperimentale in vitro idoneo allo stu<strong>di</strong>o <strong>di</strong><br />
agonisti e antagonisti funzionali del recettore <strong>di</strong> ghrelin.<br />
