Mit dem Ziel, den Bekanntheitsgrad
der Badlkultur zu steigern, hat das
TIS im Jahr 2010 die Kooperationsgruppe
„Südtiroler Heu- und Mineralwasserbäder“
gegründet.
Gemeinsam wollen die Unternehmen
der Kooperationsgruppe das
Potential natürlicher alpiner Ressourcen,
wie etwa Heu und Mineralwasser,
für den Bereich Gesundheit
und Wohlbefinden in Südtirol aufzeigen
und gezielt nutzen.

Da agosto 2010 il TIS innovation
park coordina il gruppo di cooperazione
dei bagni altoatesini, che
conta 12 imprese socie. Lo scopo è
di dimostrare e sfruttare in modo più
mirato il grado di conoscenza della
cultura del bagno e il potenziale delle
risorse alpine naturali come il fieno
e l’acqua minerale per il settore
salute e benessere in Alto Adige ma
anche di far conoscere le imprese
attive in questo settore.
Supporting the network
In 2010, TIS founded the cooperative
group “South Tyrol Hay and Mineral
Baths”. Its main purpose is to raise
awareness of the bathing and spa
culture as well as to highlight and
exploit in a more systematic way the
potential of natural alpine resources,
such as hay and water rich in minerals,
for the health and well-being
sector.

Heu- und Wasserbäder
fördern Gesundheit und
Wohlbefinden. In Südtirol
blickt die „Badlkultur“ auf
eine lange Tradition zurück.
Gerade um die Jahrhundertwende
gab es viele
Bauern- und Kurbäder, die
zahlreiche berühmte Gäste
aus dem In- und Ausland
anlockten.
Auch heute noch bieten
die traditionellen Badln
Entspannung und Wohlbefinden
und sind zudem ein
Beispiel für einzigartige authentische,
regionale und
alpine Wellnessanwendungen
mit echtem Mehrwert.

I bagni di fieno e d’acqua
favoriscono la salute e il
benessere. In Alto Adige la
“cultura dei bagni” si basa
su una lunga tradizione: a
cavallo del secolo c’erano
molti bagni contadini e di
cura che attiravano numerosi
ospiti dall’Italia e
dall’estero.
Anche oggi i bagni tradizionali
offrono relax e
benessere e sono inoltre
un esempio di trattamenti
wellness autentici, regionali
e alpini con un vero valore
aggiunto.

Hay baths and water baths
promote health and wellbeing.
The traditional South
Tyrol “bathing culture” goes
back a long way. In particular,
around the turn of the
century, there were countless
spas and resorts, some
of them set up on farms,
which attracted numerous
celebrities from home and
abroad.
And even today, these traditional
spas are still promoting
relaxation and
well-being and are considered
role models in the
way thay offer unique, authentic,
regional and alpine
spa-treatments with genuine,
discernible benefits.

Quelle der Gesundheit:
die Mineralwasserbäder
Über viele Jahrhunderte gehörte
das öffentliche Bad und das Baden
zum gesellschaftlichen Leben und
prägte so auch die Südtiroler Tourismusentwicklung.
Die zahlreichen natürlichen Quellen
aus unterirdischen Wasservorkommen
weisen besondere, gesundheitsrelevante
Inhaltsstoffe auf.
Bäder können je nach Zusammensetzung
des Mineralwassers entspannen,
beruhigen, die Haut
pflegen und Schmerzen und Beschwerden
lindern.
Heute gibt es in Südtirol 32 anerkannte
Mineralwasserquellen und
einige spezialisierte Betriebe, welche
die Nutzung des wertvollen
Mineralwassers für Gesundheit und
Wohlbefinden anbieten.

Nel corso dei secoli i bagni e il bagno
pubblico erano parte della vita
sociale e hanno lasciato un segno
nello sviluppo del turismo in Alto
Adige.
Le numerose fonti naturali d’acqua
sotterranee presentano sostanze
particolari e determinano un impatto
positivo sulla salute. A seconda
della composizione dell’acqua
minerale i bagni possono calmare,
rilassare, curare la pelle, alleviare
i dolori e anche migliorare alcuni
disturbi.
Oggi in Alto Adige si conoscono 32
fonti di acqua minerale naturale e
alcune imprese specializzate offrono
la possibilità di usare questa
preziosa acqua naturale per migliorare
la salute e il benessere.

For many centuries, public baths
and public bathing had been an
important facet of social life which
significantly influenced the development
of the tourism industry in
South Tyrol.
The numerous natural sources
from subterranean springs contain
specific substances conducive
to good health. Individual spa
applications can, according to the
composition of minerals within the
water, have a relaxing or calming
effect, nourish the skin, ease pain
and alleviate numerous ailments.
Today there are 32 accredited mineral
water sources in South Tyrol
and a number of companies offering
applications exploiting these
valuable resources for health and
well-being.

An ancient tradition of
mountain farmers: hay baths
Berichte über das Heubaden
finden sich schon vor
140 Jahren. Bauern, die nach
schwerer Arbeit im Heustock
übernachteten und
am nächsten Morgen voller
Energie und ohne Gelenkschmerzen
aufwachten, entdeckten
die wohltuende Wirkung
des Heubades vermutlich
schon vor vielen Jahrhunderten.
Das für Bäder
ausgewählte Heu zeichnet
sich durch eine besondere
Artenvielfalt an Kräutern und
Blumen mit speziellen Eigenheiten
und gesundheitsfördernden
Inhaltstoffen aus.
Heute kann man in Südtirol
während der Sommermonate
traditionelle Heubäder mit
frischem Heu sowie ganzjährig
Heubäder mit erwärmtem
Heu genießen und für Gesundheit
und Wohlbefinden
nutzen.
In Alto Adige si sente parlare
dei bagni di fieno già
da 140 anni. La tradizione
centenaria è nata dagli usi e
dalla conoscenza dei contadini,
che dopo il duro lavoro
pernottavano nel fienile
e la mattina successiva si
svegliavano pieni di energia
e senza dolore alle articolazioni.
Il fieno scelto per
i bagni è caratterizzato da
una particolare biodiversità
di erbe e fiori con proprietà
speciali e sostanze salutari.
Oggi in Alto Adige, durante i
mesi estivi, si può godere dei
tradizionali bagni di fieno,
mentre durante tutto l’arco
dell’anno si possono fare
bagni con fieno riscaldato
usandoli per migliorare salute
e benessere.
In South Tyrol, the practice
of ‘bathing’ in hay was first
recorded some 140 years
ago. This centuries-old tradition
came about as a result
of farmers noticing that after
a heavy day’s work, if thay
spent the night sleeping on
a hay stack, thay would wake
up the following morning full
of energy and without any
aching joints. The hay used
for these special baths is especially
rich in various herbs
and flowers, containing a
great many species with special
health-promoting properties
and substances. Nowadays,
South Tyrol offers
traditional hay baths with
fresh hay during the summer
months, and all year round
hay baths with warmed hay,
both of which will promote
health and well-being.

Das Hotel verfügt über eine wohltuende,
eisen- und schwefelhaltige
Wasserquelle. Eine besondere Bedeutung
nehmen die Bäder mit der
Sarner Latsche ein; eine vergessene,
alt bewährte „Bauernmedizin”, dessen
anregende Wirkung schon die
Ahnen kannten.

Schörgau, am Ausgang des Rotwandbachgrabens.

L’albergo dispone di una propria
sorgente di acqua, contenente ferro,
zolfo e altri preziosi minerali. La particolarità
della spa è il bagno al pino
mugo: si tratta di un antico rimedio
naturale della tradizione contadina
usato nella valle fin dai tempi più
remoti e oggi quasi dimenticato.

was first recorded as long ago as
1765 whilst the mineral springs have
been known about since at least
1650. The sulphur spring is still in

luogo tranquillo e idilliaco a Vandoies
di Sopra. Gli effetti positivi sulla
salute date del fieno di malga con le
sue erbe medicinali e olii essenziali
hanno portato Annemarie e Franz
a realizzare nella casa vacanza del
loro maso un’area wellness con bagno
di fieno, sauna, massaggi e altri
trattamenti.

prunella, achillea, genziana, arnica.

tradizione: migliora il metabolismo,
aiuta il sistema immunitario, ha

favorisce l’irrorazione sanguigna.
The Lindenhof in Obervintl is situated
in a very tranquil and quaint
spot. The owners Annemarie and
Franz decided to add a wellness
area to their farm with holiday
apartments where hay baths, saunas,
massages and other treatments
are offered. The Alpine hay used
is famous for its wellbeing effect
as it is rich with herbs, flowers and
essential oils.

Berghotel Jochgrimm is one of the
oldest traditionally-run hay bath
in South Tyrol. Since 1860, the
establishment has been offering
health-giving hay treatments lasting
on average nine to eleven days. It
is well-known that bathing in hay
which has been freshly harvested
from mountain pastures can detoxify
and relax the body, revive the immune
system and bring about a general
sense of well-being.

Im Alpenbadl Oberfraunerhof werden
sowohl traditionelle Heubäder
im frischen gemähten Bergheu
als auch konventionelle Heubäder
ganzjährig in speziellen Wannen angeboten.
Das Heu stammt von der
eigenen Hochalm zwischen 1600
und 1950 Metern. Bereits vor 140
Jahren empfahlen Ärzte den Bauern
das Heubaden zur Linderung von
Beschwerden.
