Duringthepastthreeyears,thestartoftheactivity<br />

of the new and innovative aluminium<br />

pre-treatmentplantandtheachievementofits<br />

maximum foreseen performances represented a<br />

significant strategic success for Guala Closures Group’s<br />

plant in Magenta (near Milan) and for the entire group, a<br />

world leader in the production of closures for alcoholic<br />

beverages, wine, mineral water and pharmaceuticals.<br />

In2011thecompanydecidedtocentralizeinMagenta,in<br />

theplantthathadbeenjustpurchasedatthetime,the<br />

first phase of the processing of aluminium destined to all<br />

of Guala Closures’s plants, that produce metal closures<br />

in various countries, such as Argentina, Australia, China,<br />

Great Britain, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Spain, South<br />

Africa, Ukraine as well as the Italian plants in Termoli, Spinetta<br />

Marengo and Vasto.<br />

The new plant was built between 2011 and 2012 and began<br />

functioning during 2013. The workflow developed in Magenta<br />

includes a first phase of degreasing and washing of<br />

the coils that are delivered with fully robotized procedures<br />

from an unusually large automatic warehouse. The<br />
