to Hi Tech Closures

further strengthens the
technological leadership
of Guala Closures

us with details

Duringthepastthreeyears,thestartoftheactivity
of the new and innovative aluminium
pre-treatmentplantandtheachievementofits
maximum foreseen performances represented a
significant strategic success for Guala Closures Group’s
plant in Magenta (near Milan) and for the entire group, a
world leader in the production of closures for alcoholic
beverages, wine, mineral water and pharmaceuticals.
In2011thecompanydecidedtocentralizeinMagenta,in
theplantthathadbeenjustpurchasedatthetime,the
first phase of the processing of aluminium destined to all
of Guala Closures’s plants, that produce metal closures
in various countries, such as Argentina, Australia, China,
Great Britain, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Spain, South
Africa, Ukraine as well as the Italian plants in Termoli, Spinetta
Marengo and Vasto.
The new plant was built between 2011 and 2012 and began
functioning during 2013. The workflow developed in Magenta
includes a first phase of degreasing and washing of
the coils that are delivered with fully robotized procedures
from an unusually large automatic warehouse. The
