Amafond’s annual
assembly provides a
picture of the foundry
industry in Italy. The
weak overall growth
of the sector is driven
by non-ferrous metal
foundries focused on
automotive supplies
Amafond, the Association grouping companies
which supply machines, products and services
for foundries, held its annual assembly on June
16th; this was an opportunity for an in-depth
analysis of the condition of a strategic segment which is
undergoing a great technological evolution and is strongly
oriented towards exports. The Association includes 94
ofthemostimportantcompaniesinthisindustrythataltogetheraccountforaturnoverofmorethanabillioneuro,
over 75% deriving from exports. The segment is dynamic,
as was shown by the speeches provided by Amafond’s Director,
Fabrizio Carmagnini and by the President of Assofond
(National Foundry Association), Roberto Ariotti, who
decided to strengthen the close relationship and enhance
he need for cooperation between foundries and the network
of their suppliers by taking part in the Assembly.
