The data processed show that 2015 was a two-speed year
forAmafondassociates:verypositiveforsuppliersinthe
non-ferrous metal sector and not particularly bright for
those companies that supply ferrous metal foundries.
2015willalsoberememberedforthegreatchangesthat
occurred within the segment, including ownership changes
for several associates, corporate crises and shutdowns
of important historical companies, not forgetting to mention
that the Italian economy is going through a downturn
andgreatmultinationalgroupstakeadvantageofthissituation
to buy interesting Italian companies at convenient
prices.
The disappearance of important enterprises with different
types of production and know-how was often accompanied
by selling off at low prices (before or after the
shutdown) caused by the impossibility of carrying on with
the companies’ activity. By looking at the 2015 turnover
ageneraldecreaseof2%mayberecorded,theresultof
two different values: the very positive result of companiesoperatinginthesegmentofplantsandproductsfor
foundries manufacturing non-ferrous die-cast, low pressure
or gravity castings, which performed very well with
an 11% increase in exports and values on the increase regarding
the domestic market too, which certainly was
positively influenced by the incentives foreseen by the
2016 Financial law (super-depreciations). On the contrary,
data are less positive for those companies operating
in the ferrous metal foundry sector, where both domestic
and international markets experienced dynamics which
were definitely not positive.
Regarding the analysis of the destinations of Italian exports
(Figure 2), the inclination towards sales in the EU

L’assemblea del 16 giugno scorso ha eletto il nuovo
Consiglio Direttivo Amafond, con la nomina di
Maurizio Sala alla presidenza dell’Associazione.
Maurizio Sala, presidente di Foundry Ecocer Srl,
ha ricoperto per diversi anni la carica di vicepresidente
di Amafond. I vicepresidenti di Amafond del
gruppo prodotti sono: Amedeo Mazzon (direttore
commerciale – F.lli Mazzon Spa) e Angelo Vezzuli
(direttore generale – EKW Italia Srl). I vicepresidenti
Amafond del gruppo macchine impianti
sono: Riccardo Ferrario (direttore generale – Idra
srl) e Francesco Tieghi (amministratore delegato
di Fomet Srl).

di diverse associate, crisi aziendali e chiusure di importanti
storiche realtà, senza dimenticare che l’economia italiana è in
crisieigrandigruppimultinazionalineapprofittanoperacquistareaprezziinteressantiaziendedelmadeinItaly.
La perdita di importanti realtà imprenditoriali per tipologia di
produzioneediknow-howsièaccompagnataspessoaduna
svendita (pre o post chiusura) necessaria di fronte alla impossibilità
di proseguire l’attività. Guardando al fatturato del settore
nel 2015 si registra una contrazione generale del 2%, che
trova due differenti valori: quello molto positivo per le aziende
che operano nel settore degli impianti e dei prodotti per
le fonderie di getti non ferrosi in die casting, bassa pressione
e gravità, che hanno avuto una performance positiva con valoriinaumentodel11%nelleesportazionieconvaloriinaumento
anche per quanto riguarda il mercato nazionale, che ha
sicuramente risentito in maniera positiva degli incentivi previsti
dalla della legge Finanziaria 2016 (super- ammortamenti).
