The 46th FARO Meeting
to be held in Bergamo
On October 19th and 20th, FARO - The International Commodities Club is planning
its 46th Meeting at the Kilometro Rosso Science Park. The first day will be
dedicated to a new Focus on the automobile industry and its future developments,
from now to 2030. In the forefront, the changes in this industry and the
role that manufacturers and component suppliers will have to take up. Then,
the choices that OEMs need to make in order to reach the climate objectives
set at institutional level. Last but not least, the challenges provided by the need
to reduce the weight of vehicles to cut consumption; and the eagerly awaited
analysis of Iran, a land rich in potential and yearning for technological knowhow
in the field of cars and other fields too. Spotlights are once more focused
on the Open Innovation theme, which has become one of the pillars of the Club
and very interesting for FARO Members. What opportunities may it provide to
manufacturing industries in mature segments, in terms of industrial materials
and production processes? On October 20th the picture will be completed by
the usual overviews on the global political and socio-economic situation and,
during Kerb Time, by the debate on the performances of the Italian raw material
market, completed by the series of outlooks on the ferrous, non-ferrous, energy
and soft commodities and plastic materials.

le self-driving car alle quali stanno lavorando grandi
marchi dell’informatica e delle comunicazioni come Google e

a un sistema di guida pressoché interamente autonomo si possa
arrivare secondo Bedwell attraverso i passaggi successivi della
guida assistita o per esempio del self-parking.

peso. Non a caso nel corso del Kerb Time, il confronto fra operatori
che per tradizione occupa una parte importante dei Meeting

È previsto per il 19 e del 20 ottobre prossimi il 46esimo Meeting di FARO – The International Commodities Club in programma presso il
Parco Scientifico Tecnologico Kilometro Rosso. Nella prima giornata, un nuovo Focus sull’industria dell’automobile e i suoi sviluppi futuri,
da oggi al 2030. In primo piano, i cambiamenti in corso nel settore e il ruolo che costruttori e fornitori di componenti devono assumere.
Poi, le scelte strategiche che gli OEM devono compiere per raggiungere gli obiettivi climatici fissati a livello istituzionale. Non da ultimo,
le sfide dettate dalla necessità di ridurre il peso delle vetture per tagliare i consumi e l’attesa analisi sull’Iran, territorio ricco di potenzialità
e affamato di know-how tecnologico nell’ambito delle quattro ruote e non solo. Riflettori nuovamente puntati anche sul tema Open
Innovation, diventato uno dei pilastri del Club e di forte interesse per i Faristi. Quali opportunità può offrire alle aziende manifatturiere di
settori maturi, in termini di materiali industriali e processi di produzione? Il 20 ottobre, completano il quadro le consuete panoramiche sulla
situazione socio-economica e politica globale e, nel Kerb Time, il dibattito sulle performance del mercato italiano delle materie prime, cui
fa da complemento la serie degli outlook sui ferrosi, non ferrosi, energetici e soft commodity, materie plastiche.
