In other words, the share of BPL population in total population will be higher, the higher is the size of the village in terms of total population and the higher is the head count ratio of BPL population in that village. As such, Vellore is the most disadvantaged 86

district followed by Villupuram and Thiruvannamalai. The next two districts in the share of BPL population are Coimbatore and Salem (Table 4.11).
