HOTEL ADLER –
EINE HISTORISCHE
GASTSTÄTTE
Schon vor Jahrhunderten in alten
Urkunden „Oberkurzsche“- oder
„Striglsche Wirtsbehausung“ genannt,
wurde das Gasthaus später in
„Goldener Adler“ und „Hotel Adler“
umbenannt. Die dokumentierten
Anfänge des Hauses liegen um 1600,
damaliger Inhaber war der adelige
Stefan von Kurz. Das Haus blieb bis
1843 im Besitz der Familie und deren
Nachkommen, dann zog die Familie
nach Venedig. In der Folge wechselten
des Öfteren die Besitzer. 1962
erwarben die Familien Pircher/Costantini
das „Hotel Adler“, welches sie
auch heute noch – nach mehrmaligen
Umbauten, Renovierungen und
Modernisierungen – mit viel Umsicht
führen.

UNA TRATTORIA
STORICA
La trattoria era già citata come
“Oberkurzsche” o “Striglsche Wirtsbehausung”
in documenti antichi;
successivamente fu rinominata
“Goldener Adler” e “Hotel Adler”.
Le origini attestate della struttura
risalgono al 1600, epoca in cui apparteneva
al nobile Stefan von Kurz.
L’edificio fu proprietà della famiglia
e dei discendenti fino al 1843, poi
la casata si trasferì a Venezia; nel
corso degli anni si sono avvicendati
numerosi proprietari. Nel 1962, infine,
l’“Hotel Adler” fu acquisito dalle
famiglie Pircher/Costantini che, dopo
ripetute ristrutturazioni, interventi
di restauro e ammodernamento, lo
gestiscono ancora oggi con grande
dedizione.

A RESTAURANT
WITH A HISTORY
In documents dating centuries back,
the hotel was referred to as the
“Oberkurzsche” or the “Striglsche
Wirtsbehausung”. In later years, it
was renamed the “Goldener Adler”
(Golden Eagle) and the “Hotel
Adler”. Records tell us that the
building dates back to 1600, owned
at the time by nobleman Stefan von
Kurz. It remained in the hands of his
family and descendants until 1843
when they moved to Venice. In the
years to come, it changed hands on
many occasions. In 1962, the Hotel
Adler was purchased by the Pircher/
Costantini families who, after many
conversions, renovations and modernisations,
still run it assiduously to
this day.

(Zugbahnhof 100 m vom Hotel
entfernt) verbindet erstere im 30-Minuten-Takt.
Im Land der Drei Zinnen
stehen Ihnen außerdem über 200
km gespurte Langlaufloipen in allen
Schwierigkeitsgraden zur Verfügung
sowie 150 km Winterwanderwege.
Für unsere Gäste veranstalten wir
wöchentlich eine geführte, kostenlose
Winter- und Schneeschuhwanderung.
Kinder freuen sich über die
Rentierfütterung bei der Bergstation
der Rotwand-Bahnen.

permette di raggiungere agevolmente
le stazioni sciistiche dell’Alta
Pusteria: Tre Cime, Plan de Corones
e Cortina d’Ampezzo. Il pratico Ski
Express Val Pusteria (la stazione ferroviaria
dista 100 m dall’albergo) prevede
collegamenti dei primi due ogni 30
minuti. Nell’area delle Tre Cime avete
a vostra disposizione oltre 200 km
di piste per il fondo in tutti i livelli di
difficoltà, nonché 150 km di itinerari
per il trekking invernale. Per i nostri
ospiti organizziamo ogni settimana
un’escursione guidata gratuita con le
ciaspole. Che divertente per i bambini
nutrire le renne nella stazione a monte
delle piste della Croda Rossa!

Villabassa is centrally located for
skiing in the Alta Pusteria Valley:
The Tre Cime/Three Peaks, Plan de
Corones and Cortina d’Ampezzo
resorts are all within easy reach,
and the convenient Ski Express Val
Pusteria (train station just 100 m
from the hotel) connects the former
every 30 minutes. In the land of the
Three Peaks, there are also over 200
km of cross-country tracks at all levels
of difficulty and 150 km of winter
walking trails. We offer our guests
weekly free guided winter and snowshoe
tours. Children love feeding the
reindeer at the mountain station of
the Croda Rossa cable car.

ANREISE
Auto
Über die Brennerautobahn A22 (mautpflichtig)
fahren Sie bis zur Ausfahrt Brixen/
Vahrn, dann auf der Staatsstraße (SS49-E66)
weiter ins Hochpustertal. Sie erreichen uns
auch über Lienz in Osttirol (A), indem Sie die
österreichisch-italienische Grenze auf der
Staatsstraße (B100-E66) passieren.
Bahn
Mittels internationaler Zugverbindungen
erreichen Sie Franzensfeste. Dort steigen Sie
auf die lokale Bahnlinie Richtung Innichen
um – Haltestelle Niederdorf. Von Klagenfurt
reisen Sie über Lienz bis Innichen und mit
der Pustertaler Bahnlinie nach Toblach und
Niederdorf.
Flugzeug
Südtirols Flughafen befindet sich in der
Landeshauptstad Bozen. Täglich finden Linienflüge
von Rom Fiumicino statt. Von den
Flughäfen Innsbruck, Salzburg, München,
Treviso, Venedig, Verona, Bergamo und
Milano Malpensa fahren mehrmals täglich
Shuttlebusse nach Südtirol.
COME ARRIVARE
Macchina
Attraverso l’autostrada del Brennero A22
uscita Bressanone/Varna, si prosegue lungo
la Strada Statale (SS49-E66) fino in Alta
Pusteria. Distanza dall’uscita autostradale
Bressanone/Val Pusteria: ca. 60 km. Si
raggiunge anche prendendo la Statale
(SS 51) verso Cortina – Dobbiaco.
Treno
Tramite i collegamenti ferroviari di Trenitalia
e del Treno Alto Adige si raggiunge
facilmente Fortezza, dove si cambia treno
in direzione San Candido – stazione ferroviaria
a Villabassa.
Aereo
L’aeroporto di Bolzano si trova alle porte
del capoluogo di provincia. Ogni giorno
ci sono voli diretti da e per Roma Fiumicino.
Dagli aeroporti di Milano Malpensa,
Bergamo, Verona, Venezia o Treviso si
può prendere il pullman diretto per l’Alto
Adige.
HOW TO GET THERE
Car
On the Brennero Motorway A22 (toll road)
take exit Bressanone/Varna, then continue
on the national road (SS49-E66) to the
Alta Pusteria. Distance from motorway exit
Bressanone – Val Pusteria: approx. 60 km.
You can also get to us via Lienz in East Tyrol
(A), by crossing the Austrian-Italian border
on national road (B100-E66).
Train
Travel to Fortezza using international rail
links. Then change to a local railway to San
Candido – Train stop in Villabassa. From Klagenfurt
travel to San Candido via Lienz and
then with the Val Pusteria railway to Versciaco/Monte
Elmo, Dobbiaco and Villabassa.
Airplane
The South Tyrolean airport is situated in
the country’s capital of Bolzano. There are
daily scheduled flights from Rome Fiumicino.
There are several daily Shuttle buses to
South Tyrol from the airports of Innsbruck,
Salzburg, Munich, Treviso, Venice, Verona,
Bergamo and Milan Malpensa.
