how the idea of Ego Circus 2018 of the Plaza Lucchesi
took off, the mixology circus: until March,
there will be 9 “return” evenings having Empireo
Ground Floor, the bar of the hotel on the lungarno
Zecca Vecchia, as a fixed location. From Julian
Biondi to Simone Corsini up to Sasha Mecocci,
the mixing artists will exchange their counters for
an evening, making their creations known in locations
other than their usual bar. For each evening
at the Empireo Ground Floor, a “twin” one will be
held at the counter of the guest bartender. After
the debut in November with Simone Corsini of the
Atrium Bar at Four Seasons, on 20th December,
Sasha Mecocci from Fusion will face the theme of
cocktail territoriality while 2019 will open with Julian
Biondi who, on 17th January, will bring the
irreverent spirit of MAD. 31st January will be the
occasion to see the staff of Rasputin for a night
out from the most secret of bars in Florence while
14th February, Saint Valentine’s will be celebrated
with Manuel Perreto’s whisky from Lovecraft, the
first whisky bar of the city. On 28th February beer
mixing will be the topic with the guys from Black
Lodge while the beginning of March will see the
“neighbours” from FUK behind the counter. The
end of March will see the closing evening at Out
of Ordinary thanks to the guys from OOO at the
Student Hotel.

circo della mixology: fino a marzo vanno in scena
9 serate andata e ritorno che hanno come punto
fermo L’Empireo Ground Floor, il bar dell’hotel
sul lungarno della Zecca Vecchia. Da Julian Biondi
a Simone Corsini fino a Sasha Mecocci, per una
sera gli artisti della miscelazione si scambiano di
bancone, per far scoprire le loro creazioni in un
ambiente diverso dal solito. Per ogni serata all’Empireo
Ground Floor ne corrisponde una “gemella”
dietro al bancone del guest bartender. Dopo il debutto
a novembre con Simone Corsini dell’Atrium
Bar at Four Seasons, il 20 dicembre Sasha Mecocci
del Fusion affronta il tema della territorialità dei
cocktail, mentre il 2019 si aprirà con Julian Biondi
che il 17 gennaio porterà lo spirito irriverente del
MAD. Il 31 gennaio sarà l’occasione per vedere lo
staff del Rasputin per una notte fuori dal più segreto
dei bar fiorentini, mentre il 14 febbraio San
Valentino lo si festeggia col whisky di Manuel Perreto
del Lovecraft, il primo whisky bar della città.
Il 28 febbraio si parlerà di birra in miscelazione coi
ragazzi del Black Lodge, mentre l’inizio di marzo
vedrà dietro il bancone i “vicini di casa” del FUK.
Si chiude a fine marzo una serata Out Of Ordinary,
grazie ai ragazzi di OOO allo Student Hotel.
