OPENING GALA &
OPENING TOUR
#24 TRADE TALK
Good morning everyone!
After an incredible first day, ITB Berlin is now in
full swing. Walking through the halls yesterday,
I could feel the energy, the excitement, and
the sense of purpose that makes this event
so unique. From the grand opening gala to
the first key meetings, everything reaff irmed
why ITB Berlin remains the beating heart of
the travel industry. If you missed any of the
conference highlights, don't forget that we will
be uploading them all to our YouTube channel
so it's not too late.
Today, our spotlight turns to one of the
most fascinating and rapidly evolving
segments: luxury travel. More than ever,
travellers are seeking exclusive, meaningful,
and sustainable experiences—and the industry
is responding with innovation. If you want
to see how, I invite you to visit the Home of
Luxury, a dedicated space where the world’s
most prestigious travel brands are showcasing
their latest concepts. You’ll discover how
high-end hospitality, experiential travel, and
technology are reshaping what luxury means
today.
Beyond the show floor, today is also packed
with key discussions and high-level insights.
At 10:00a.m., all eyes will be on the ITB Press
Conference, where a major announcement
is expected. I won’t spoil the surprise, but I
can assure you it will be one of the defining
moments of this year’s edition.
Later in the day, Google and YouTube will take
the stage, offering a deep dive into how digital
transformation is shaping the way we travel,
book, and experience destinations. Their
insights are essential for anyone looking to
stay ahead of consumer trends. Meanwhile,
some of the most influential voices in global
tourism will gather for the Ministers' Summit—a
unique opportunity to hear firsthand how
governments are addressing key challenges
and opportunities for the industry.
There is so much to experience today. Whether
you are here to build new connections, gain
strategic insights, or simply be inspired by the
innovation shaping our sector, I encourage
you to embrace every opportunity ITB Berlin
has to offer.
Enjoy the day, let’s make it another remarkable
one!
