Morning Briefing

By Deborah Rothe, Director ITB Berlin

Final day at ITB Berlin 2025:

The journey continues

Good morning everyone, and welcome to the

third and final day of ITB Berlin 2025!

The past two days have been a whirlwind of

meetings, discoveries, and discussions, but

the show isn’t over yet. There is still plenty

to see, key sessions to attend, and countless

opportunities to connect before we wrap up.

One of yesterday’s major announcements

was the launch of ITB Americas, a brandnew

B2B travel trade show dedicated to the

entire American continent, from Canada

to Patagonia. Taking place in Guadalajara,

Mexico, in November 2026, ITB Americas will

bring together exhibitors from across North,

Central, and South America, as well as the

Caribbean. This marks a major step in ITB’s

international expansion, opening new doors

for businesses looking to engage with one of

the most dynamic travel markets in the world.

Read our interview with David Ruetz, Senior

Vice President, Messe Berlin on page 11 to

learn more about the world of opportunities

this new event represents

This launch is part of ITB’s commitment to

accompanying the travel industry around the

world, ensuring year-round opportunities for

networking, knowledge-sharing, and business.

The next stop in the ITB global series will be

ITB China, taking place from 27 to 29 May in

Shanghai. As the leading B2B trade show for

China’s travel industry, it brings together top

buyers and global suppliers to explore one of

the most influential markets in international

travel.

As we move into our final day, the ITB Berlin

Convention continues with another strong

lineup of sessions. The ITB Transition Labs,

introduced for the first time this year, provide

an excellent platform for deep dives into

sustainability, technology, and market shifts.

It's not too late to participate, you can still get

your ticket for today's sessions!

Meanwhile, our Official Host Country, Albania,

remains a must-visit at the show. If you haven’t

explored their stand yet, make some time to

stop by and experience their vision for the

future of tourism. Their focus on adventure,

cultural heritage, and sustainable tourism has

sparked important conversations throughout

the event.

Thank you for being part of this year’s edition.

It has been a pleasure to see the global travel

community come together once again, and I

look forward to continuing the conversations

that have started here.

Let's make the most out of this final day!
