maps the raw interplay of perception and
expression.

Introduction
This issue of Taccuini is a visual diary that explores the tension between
movement and stillness, between the desire to escape and the need to
connect. Born from the desire to escape, to travel, and captured during
ephemeral moments in Japan, these images - blurred, unrefined, alive
with chance encounters - reveal the fragile threads that bind places,
strangers, and fleeting instants together. The occasional Omikuji slips
appear as silent witnesses to these intersections, paper fortunes marking
the spaces where paths cross and diverge.
A meditation on transience, the work exists in the liminal space where
crowds dissolve into individuals, where neon fades into daylight, and
night, where time expands in the pause before departure. Train stations
become temples of anticipation; shrine courtyards hold centuries in their
silence; footsteps measure the distance between here and gone.
Inspired by the refrain "I wanted to escape, I wanted to travel," the series
traces those imperceptible turns where journeys transform, the quiet
shifts that reroute paths and redefine destinations.

Introduzione
Questo numero di Taccuini è un diario per immagini racconta quel gioco
tra movimento e quiete, tra la voglia di scappare e il bisogno di restare
agganciati a qualcosa. Nato dal desiderio di scappare, viaggiare, e
catturato in attimi fugaci in Giappone, questi immagini - mosse, grezze,
piene di incontri casuali - mostrano i fili invisibili che legano luoghi,
sconosciuti e momenti che svaniscono. Ogni tanto compaiono gli
omikuji, quei bigliettini della fortuna che fanno da testimoni silenziosi a
questi incroci, segnando i punti dove le strade si uniscono per dividersi
subito dopo.
Meditazione sulle cose che passano, il lavoro sta in quello spazio di
mezzo dove la folla diventa gente sola, dove il neon si mescola al chiaro
del giorno e all'oscurità della notte,dove il tempo sembra fermarsi un
secondo prima che il treno parta. Le stazioni diventano luoghi di
sospensione; i cortili dei templi custodiscono secoli di silenzio; i passi
misurano lo spazio tra qui e altrove.
Tutto nasce da quel "volevo scappare, volevo viaggiare", e segue quelle
curve impercettibili dove i viaggi prendono una svolta, quei lievi cambi di
direzione che ridisegnano percorsi e destinazioni.
