Where Beauty Begins
Martina Gili

Estetica Export
Before a beauty product appears
on a shelf, a great deal has already
happened behind the scenes. Ideas
have been tested, formulas refined,
packaging engineered, and production
processes designed. Much of this work
remains invisible, yet it is precisely here
that products begin to take shape.
This is the industrial side of beauty:
the supply chain where creativity
meets manufacturing and where innovation
becomes something tangible.
Within this landscape, Made in Italy
continues to play a distinctive role.
Italian companies have built their reputation
not only on technical expertise,
but also on the ability to combine
precision with creativity, working closely
with brands to transform concepts into
real products. Behind every successful
cosmetic launch, there is always a
network of people and industrial
know-how quietly making it possible.
This is where beauty begins.

ENGINEERING
FLEXIBILITY
HOW MARCHESINI
GROUP BEAUTY IS REDEFINING
COSMETIC MANUFACTURING
The cosmetics industry is evolving
towards greater flexibility, higher
quality standards and increasingly
complex product configurations.
In this scenario, machinery
manufacturers are called not only
to deliver performance, but to
provide integrated, intelligent and
future-ready solutions. We spoke
with Lorenzo Gatti, Sales Director
of Marchesini Group Beauty
about innovation, AI and turnkey
integration.
Marchesini Group Beauty is
investing heavily in turnkey
solutions. What does this mean in
practice for cosmetic manufacturers?
It means offering complete, integrated
lines that simplify complexity. Today,
cosmetic companies operate in highly
dynamic environments: frequent
format changes, diversified SKUs,
strict quality requirements. Our
generation of machines is designed
to reduce changeover times, simplify
cleaning, automate processes and
optimise overall line efficiency. The

objective is not just performance, but
adaptability. We want our customers
to respond quickly to market demands
without compromising reliability.
Liquid formulations seem to be a
growing focus. What is driving this
demand?
In recent months we have received
strong interest in mixers and filling
systems for liquids such as serums,
lotions, oils and emulsions. These are
delicate formulations, often rich in
active and natural ingredients, where
precision and hygiene are essential.
Our mixers guarantee homogeneous
blending, while our filling machines
handle a wide range of viscosities
with maximum accuracy and minimal
waste. For us, protecting product
integrity is as important as ensuring
speed.
You also develop complete
packaging lines. Can you share a
recent example?
One particularly complex project
was a fully integrated line for an
innovative beard-colouring kit. Each
carton contains multiple components:
two tubes, a brush, gloves,
instructions, leaflet and tray. The
challenge was assembling all elements
at a speed of 140 cartons per minute.
We integrated high-precision tube
fillers, robotic islands to synchronise
different feeding speeds, advanced
vision systems and automated
cartoning, bundling and palletising.
Beyond technical performance, we
also co-developed the tray with the
client to ensure both machinability
and better consumer experience. This
is what we mean by partnership.
Artificial Intelligence plays a central
role in your approach. How is AI
transforming quality control?
Together with SEA Vision, we
developed the world’s first AI-based
automatic lipstick inspection system,
known as a-eye lipstick. Lipsticks are
extremely complex products in terms
of colours, finishes and shapes, making
traditional vision systems insufficient.
By using proprietary neural algorithms
and latest-generation hardware, we
can inspect 100% of production
without slowing down the line. The
system guarantees unprecedented
accuracy and won the Cosmopack
Asia Award in Hong Kong. For us, AI
is not a trend; it is a concrete tool to
achieve the perfect balance between
quality and efficiency.
Marchesini Group Beauty participates
in many trade fairs around the
world, including Cosmopack 2026.
What will you bring?
At Stand A9 – Hall 19, visitors will
be able to take a close-up look at a
complete, turnkey line designed for
perfume packaging. The solution on
show consists of robotised machines
by Vibrotech for handling and
automatic loading of empty bottles
and caps, an Axomatic filling and
capping machine, V2 engineering
solution including vertical cartoners
for cartoning bottles and an
automatic overwrapper; finally,
a cartopallet, equipped with a
traceability system developed by SEA
Vision. It is part of an end-to-end
Digital Product Passport project for
the cosmetic industry, enabling each
product to be identified through
a unique identifier that is printed,
recorded and verified throughout the
entire supply chain.

FILLING and
CAPPING
MACHINES
Interview with
FABRIZIO
FACCHINI
CEO of Zefa Technologies
MACHINES
THAT GROW
ZEFA’S SCALABLE FILLING
AND CAPPING TECHNOLOGY FOR
BEAUTY MANUFACTURING
Founded in 1978, ZEFA develops
filling and capping machines for the
cosmetics industry, with a focus on
modular and scalable production
solutions. In this interview with
Estetica Export, CEO Fabrizio
Facchini explains how the company’s
engineering approach helps
manufacturers adapt their production
as they grow.
ZEFA has been developing filling
and capping solutions for decades.
What defines the company’s
approach today?
ZEFA was founded in 1978 with a
clear objective: designing reliable
filling and capping machines for the
cosmetics industry. Our approach is
based on flexibility and engineering
precision. All components are
produced in-house, from mechanical
parts to complete systems, which
allows us to control the entire
manufacturing process. This vertical
integration ensures quality, reliability,
and the ability to adapt each machine
to the specific needs of the client.
One of the concepts you often
mention is scalability. What does
this mean in practical terms for
manufacturers?
Scalability means that a machine
should evolve together with
the company that uses it. Many
manufacturers start with limited
production volumes but need the
possibility to expand. Our machines
are designed so they can grow with
the business: for example, a filling line
can begin with a smaller configuration
and later be expanded by adding
additional filling heads or modules
without replacing the entire system.
Can you give an example of this
modular philosophy?
A good example is our ZefronFill
system. It is a modular linear filling
platform that can start with two
filling heads and later expand to
four or six depending on production
requirements. Each head is equipped
with independent brushless motors
and controlled by a Siemens PLC,
ensuring precision and reliability.
This architecture allows companies
to increase capacity gradually while
maintaining the same production
platform.
The cosmetics industry is evolving
quickly. How do your machines
adapt to different product types and
packaging formats?
Flexibility is essential. Cosmetic
manufacturers often handle liquids,
semi-dense products, and thicker
formulations, sometimes within the
same production line. Our machines
are designed to manage this variety and
to adapt to different packaging formats
with quick changeovers. This reduces
downtime and allows companies
to respond quickly to new product
launches or packaging updates.
Sustainability and digitalisation are
becoming increasingly important
in manufacturing. How are these
elements integrated into ZEFA’s
technology?
Sustainability is a concrete engineering
objective for us. Our production
facility operates with 100% renewable
energy, and we design machines
that minimise energy consumption,

waste, and downtime. At the same
time, all our systems are compatible
with Industry 4.0 standards, enabling
remote monitoring, predictive
maintenance, and real-time production
optimisation.
ZEFA is present in many
international markets. What kind
of partners are you looking to work
with globally?
We operate across Europe, the
Middle East, and Africa, and also
serve markets such as Australia. Our
goal is not simply to sell machines
but to build long-term partnerships
with technically skilled partners–
production managers, entrepreneurs,
and manufacturers who are looking
for flexible automation solutions that
can integrate easily into their existing
production lines.
Looking ahead, what are the next
technological developments for
ZEFA?
We are currently working on
new high-precision dosing lines
that will further expand our
technological offering. Many cosmetic
manufacturers are still in the early
stages of automation, and we see our
role as supporting them with scalable,
reliable solutions that can accompany
their industrial growth over time.

GLOBAL
TRACEABILITY
SYSTEMS
Interview with
FABIO
FORESTELLI
CEO of Antares Vision Group
TRACEABILITY
PROTECTING BEAUTY BRANDS
IN THE AGE OF GREY MARKETS
Grey markets are no longer an
occasional disruption for professional
beauty brands: they are a structural
challenge. Products intended for one
country appear in another. Salonexclusive
lines are resold online.
Distributors question territorial
protection. Margins and positioning
come under pressure. We spoke with
Fabio Forestelli, CEO of Antares
Vision Group, about why leading
multinational beauty companies are
now investing in global traceability
systems.
Why are major beauty groups
turning to traceability today?
Because the cost of losing control
is too high. In professional beauty,
brand value depends on distribution
integrity. When products circulate
outside authorised channels, it
creates price erosion and conflict
with partners. Traceability gives
brands visibility across markets and
restores accountability along the
supply chain.
What role does Antares Vision
Group play in this transformation?
Antares Vision Group has long
supported highly regulated industries
where product authentication
and supply chain transparency are
essential. We bring that experience
into cosmetics, combining
serialisation, data intelligence and
global supply chain monitoring.
Three of the world’s top 10 beauty
multinationals have selected us
as a partner for serialisation and
traceability to help combat greymarket
diversion–and most recently,
a major U.S. beauty multinational
appointed us as its global partner
for serialisation. This confirms
that traceability must be managed
strategically and at scale.
Why is professional haircare
particularly exposed to grey markets?
Distribution is fragmented and
international. Brands operate through
multiple importers, distributors,
salon networks and online platforms.
Without visibility, diversion becomes
almost impossible to prove. By
assigning a unique digital identity
to each unit, we enable companies
to track origin, intended destination
and market flow. When irregularities
appear, they can intervene quickly and
protect their partners.
Is traceability mainly about
compliance?
Compliance matters, but today the
real driver is business protection.
Brands want to defend margins, secure
territories and strengthen distributor
relationships. Traceability transforms
supply chain management into a
strategic advantage rather than a
reactive measure.
What would you say to brands still
evaluating this step?
Grey markets are not temporary.
They are part of global trade
dynamics. The question is whether
brands choose to face them with
assumptions or with data.
At Antares Vision Group, we
provide integrated serialisation
and traceability solutions that give
companies real time visibility across
their entire supply chain. This allows
them to detect diversion, protect
authorised distribution, support

regulatory compliance and build long
term trust with partners.
For professional beauty brands
aiming to grow internationally while
safeguarding their positioning,
implementing a structured traceability
strategy is no longer optional. With
the right technological partner, it
becomes a foundation for sustainable
and controlled global expansion.

COSMOPACK
EXHIBITION
Interview with
ANTONIA
BENVEGNÙ
Cosmopack Director
COSMOPACK
THE GLOBAL MEETING POINT
OF BEAUTY’S SUPPLY CHAIN
Within the Cosmoprof ecosystem,
Cosmopack brings together the
entire cosmetic production chain–
from ingredients and formulation
to packaging, machinery, and fullservice
manufacturing. We spoke with
Director Antonia Benvegnù about how
the exhibition reflects the evolution
of beauty manufacturing and why it
has become a strategic meeting point
for brands developing new cosmetic
products.
Cosmopack was conceived to
represent the entire cosmetic supply
chain. What strategic role does it
play today within the global beauty
industry?
Today, Cosmopack is recognised as
the leading international exhibition
dedicated to the entire cosmetic
supply chain, covering everything
from raw materials and ingredients to
contract manufacturing, private label,
packaging, applicators, processing and
packaging machinery, automation and
full-service solutions.
This full-chain approach is
Cosmopack’s key distinguishing
feature. Few trade shows bring together
every link of the production process
under one format. This allows us not
only to present a comprehensive view
of cosmetic manufacturing, but also to
facilitate dialogue and collaboration
between supply-chain partners who
might not otherwise meet, creating an
integrated ecosystem.
In recent years, the beauty supply
chain has become increasingly
complex and interconnected. What
transformations have you observed
in production models and industrial
partnerships?
The beauty supply chain is becoming
increasingly interconnected and
dynamic. Brands are no longer
looking for simple suppliers; they
seek strategic partners able to support
them throughout the entire product
lifecycle–from formulation and
development to production and
market launch.
This shift has strengthened
collaboration between ingredient
suppliers, contract manufacturers,
turnkey solution providers and
automation technology companies.
Industrial partnerships are also
becoming more sophisticated,
combining R&D expertise and
manufacturing capabilities to meet the
demands of advanced global markets.
Sustainability, automation, and
traceability are redefining industrial
standards. Which innovations are
emerging most strongly among
exhibitors?
Innovation at Cosmopack increasingly
revolves around automation, digital
technologies, advanced quality control
systems and traceability tools.
Traceability in particular is becoming
central, reflecting growing consumer
attention to product origin,
transparency and quality. Brands
increasingly seek solutions that allow
them to monitor the entire production
chain and provide clear information
about manufacturing stages.
What opportunities does the colocation
with the other Cosmoprof
shows create for companies
developing new products or
strengthening their international
presence?
The co-location of Cosmopack with
the other Cosmoprof sectors creates
a unique global business ecosystem.
Manufacturing supply-chain companies
can connect directly with finishedproduct
brands, international buyers,
distributors and beauty professionals.
This proximity facilitates the meeting
of supply and demand, while opening
concrete opportunities for networking,
collaboration and international
expansion.
For a brand or entrepreneur
developing a new cosmetic product,
why can visiting Cosmopack make a
difference?
At Cosmopack it is possible to find
everything needed to design, develop
and manufacture a cosmetic product,
regardless of production scale or
business model.
From raw materials and ingredients to
contract manufacturing, automation
technologies and quality control
systems, the exhibition offers access to
a complete and integrated ecosystem.
For companies aiming to create
competitive products aligned with
global market expectations, visiting
Cosmopack can be a decisive step.
Cosmopack’s international presence
is becoming increasingly strategic
within the broader Cosmoprof
network. Is this expansion driven
by companies seeking new markets,
or does it reflect a deeper structural
trend in the industry?
Cosmopack’s strong international
projection is part of Cosmoprof ’s
DNA. The event attracts exhibitors
from more than 37 countries and
visitors from over 150 nations.
This reflects a structural trend
within the beauty industry–one
increasingly oriented toward export,
internationalisation and global
collaboration–while enabling
companies to diversify markets and
access new growth opportunities.
“Brands are no
longer looking
for simple
suppliers; they
are seeking
strategic partners
capable of
supporting them
throughout the
entire product
lifecycle.”

EXPERT
PRIVATE
LABEL
A market perspective
ANDREA ROSA
Private Label Expert,
The Kirschner Group
PRIVATE
LABEL
AS A STRATEGIC LEVER
IN GLOBAL BEAUTY
Private label has become an
increasingly strategic choice in the
professional beauty sector worldwide.
Drawing on his international
experience, Andrea Rosa explains why
distributors are investing in their own
brands, how private-label projects
differ across markets, and where the
next global opportunities lie.
Why are international distributors
increasingly choosing private label
over established brands?
In most cases, there are two main
reasons.
First, distributors who invest heavily in
developing a market for someone else’s
brand always face a structural risk: if
sales underperform, the brand may be
reassigned; if sales perform very well,
the manufacturer may decide to open a
direct subsidiary. In both scenarios, the
distributor risks losing the value they
have created.
Second, as major brands expand
internationally, it becomes increasingly
difficult for distributors to protect
their long-term position. Developing
a proprietary brand allows them to
safeguard their investment, build
equity, and–crucially–expand beyond
their domestic market. Unlike
distributing third-party brands,
owning a private label enables true
international business development.
How does your approach to private
label differ between mature and
emerging markets?
Regardless of geography, private label
projects are built on relationships.
Working with The Kirschner Group
means having local, culturally
aligned points of reference who act
as a bridge between distributors and
manufacturers.
This structure allows clients to save
time and resources–not only when
selecting the right manufacturing
partner, but throughout the entire
project lifecycle: development, postlaunch
support, and line expansion.
“Developing
a proprietary
brand allows
distributors to
safeguard their
investment and
expand beyond
their domestic
market.”
It also enables the creation of genuine
partnerships.
The distributor gains access to advanced
technologies they could not develop
alone, while the manufacturer enters
markets that would otherwise be
difficult to reach. This win-win dynamic
depends on constant communication,
which is why multilingual and
multicultural teams are essential.
How do sustainability, clean
formulations, and Made in Italy
influence private-label positioning
today?
These topics should be viewed
separately.
Made in Italy remains a powerful
asset, particularly in haircare,
professional color, certain electrical
tools, and high-volume styling or
bleaching categories. That said, Italy
is no longer the undisputed leader
in every segment. In areas such as
straighteners, smoothing systems, or
men’s grooming, other countries have
become highly competitive–Turkey,
for example, has gained strong traction
in the mid-price segment without
major compromises on quality.
This should not be seen as a loss, but
as an incentive to improve. Global
competition is strong, and excellence
today is shared across multiple regions.
As for sustainability and clean
formulations, they are increasingly
important–but only when balanced
with performance and price. The
market welcomes cleaner and more
sustainable products as long as they do
not significantly compromise results
or affordability. Performance remains
non-negotiable: professionals and
consumers ultimately expect products
to work. Sustainability is a direction,
not a substitute for efficacy.
What future opportunities do
you see for private label in the
professional channel?
Global economic momentum is clearly
shifting. One only needs to look at
aviation hubs such as Istanbul, the Gulf
region, and increasingly parts of Asia to
understand where people, capital, and
business are moving.
Saudi Arabia stands out as a
particularly interesting market, having
transitioned rapidly from a closed
system to a more open one. While
it will not mirror Western markets
overnight, it deserves close attention–
along with the broader Gulf region
beyond Dubai. Even complex markets
like Iraq, despite their instability, show
strong professional beauty activity in
specific areas.
South America continues to confirm
its long-term growth trajectory, while
North America–despite new tariff
policies–remains the world’s strongest
economy. Even with import duties,
the real impact on private-label end
pricing is relatively limited and largely
absorbed by market dynamics.
The key takeaway is that new markets
are opening without traditional ones
closing. For private label, this creates a
uniquely fertile global landscape.

MACHINES
AUTOMATION
Interview with
MAURILIO
LENA
CEO of Delta Service Automation
BUILT
TO LAST
DELTA SERVICE
AUTOMATION’S
SCALABLE MACHINERY
We met Maurilio Lena, CEO of
Delta Service Automation, at Beauty
to Business Bergamo. One of his
machines was sold just 45 minutes
after the fair opened – a detail that
reflected the event’s pragmatic,
business-driven atmosphere. Our
conversation revealed a clear vision:
automation not as a commodity,
but as a long-term industrial asset
built to evolve.
Maurilio, how did Delta Service
Automation begin?
The company was founded in the early
1990s, rooted in my father’s experience
at Avery Dennison Italia. The initial
focus was specialised technical service,
not manufacturing.
Installation, maintenance, and repairs
allowed us to understand machines
from the inside – how they truly
perform in production. A machine
must work every day on the shop floor,
not just on paper.
When did you move into
manufacturing?
When Avery stopped producing
machinery, customers needed support.
They began asking us to modify and
redesign their equipment.
Labelling machines became our first
product and remain our core business.
The key shift was conceptual: we
develop flexible solutions, not standard
machines.
Flexibility is central to your philosophy.
What does it mean in practice?
Cosmetic companies manage multiple
SKUs, formats, and small batches.
Rigid machines designed for one task
“We don’t
build
machines.
We design
flexible
industrial
assets.”
over years are no longer viable.
Flexibility means quick format changes,
introducing new products without
rebuilding lines, and upgrading instead
of replacing equipment. Clients seek
solutions that function today and adapt
tomorrow.
How does this influence design?
From the outset we consider future
needs. Modular structures, rapid
changeovers, and upgrade-ready
systems are built in from the beginning.
It requires more effort initially, but
prevents early obsolescence.
Is there a project that represents this
approach?
A machine created to label an octagonal
lipstick – technically complex and
unstable. Designed for adaptability,
it was later modified to handle round
tubes and other packs without being
rebuilt. That is true flexibility.
What kind of relationship do you
build with clients?
Long-term. We manage installation,
training, commissioning, and remain
available for upgrades. Many customers
expand while continuing to use and
adapt the same machines. Automation
evolves with the company.
Is this why Made in Italy remains
valued?
Yes. Low-cost machines often function
briefly and are replaced. We design
durable systems that remain reliable,
safe, and upgradable. Customers
recognise the engineering philosophy
behind them.
Looking ahead, what will shape
cosmetic automation?
Real robotics. As processes grow more
complex and skilled labor becomes
scarce, robotics will be decisive. But
safety is non-negotiable – barriers,
sensors, and control logic are integral
components.
Ease of programming is equally critical.
Systems that require constant specialist
intervention become inefficient. The
real progress will come when robotics
are simple to program, reconfigure, and
integrate.
Automation is a long-term investment.
In cosmetics, where flexibility and
safety are essential, the value of Made
in Italy lies in design vision: machines
built to perform today and adapt
over time.

COMPANY PRESENTATION
The Alfaparf Group is the world’s leading
Italian beauty company in the professional
channel. Our Company was established in
1980, taking the first steps in the north of
Italy, then in the 90s, we broadened our
horizons beyond national borders, becoming
the first Italian cosmetics company in the
world in the professional channel. Since our
early beginnings, we have taken steps to
create an independent and integrated group,
attentive to innovation and market trends:
our numerous brands and the number of
international companies and leaders in the
beauty market who rely on our expertise to
develop projects and products for the hair
and body are evidence of this. Our business
divisions constantly interact with each other,
circulating skills and transforming them
into the best responses to the evolution in
the industry; by doing so, we continue to
improve the quality of the service offered
by professional operators, leaving a better
world for future generations.
Highlights
Over 40 years of experience in
professional cosmetics
8 manufacturing plants (Italy, Brazil,
Mexico, Venezuela and Argentina)
25 branches
Over 100 countries around the world
More than 3,000 collaborators
A portfolio of 17 brands
Over 100 million consumers
OUR HISTORY
We launched in 1980 thanks to the idea of
Roberto Franchina, who, along with around
ten people, began to design products in
northern Italy for the hairdressing channel.
In the 90s we began the adventure abroad.
The first exports were to Spain and Latin
America, followed by the commercial
branches and first factories opened in
Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and Venezuela.
At the end of the 90s, Alfaparf Milano
took the qualitative leap towards being
a global benchmark company in the
professional cosmetics market. In fact, in
2000, we completed the development of
the Osio Sotto headquarters, a total area
of 25 thousand square meters, where
manufacturing and storage still take place
today, as well as office space. In the early
2000s, we expanded the two flagship
factories (Mexico and Brazil) to reach their
current size of about 30 thousand square
meters. The Group’s international vocation
has been confirmed and grown over the
years with the opening of various branches
in Latin America, the USA, and Australia.
Alongside the activities related to
the Group’s brands, the Private Label
business has also grown substantially.
The production on behalf of third parties,
especially in the colour area, has become
a flagship thanks to Alfaparf Group’s knowhow
and development of commercial
relationships with increasingly high-quality
and outstanding clients. Over recent
years, Alfaparf Group has been strongly
committed to globalization, both in terms of
new geographical locations and new brands
and/or distribution channels. This strategic
direction has been further strengthened
through a series of targeted acquisitions
aimed at consolidating the Group’s
industrial capabilities and expanding its
international position. The acquisition of
Coferly Cosmética, a historic Brazilian
company and one of the leading thirdparty
manufacturers of hair coloring and
bleaching products in Latin America, further
consolidates Alfaparf Group’s position in
Brazil as a strategic production platform
for Latin America, expanding its expertise
and capacity in professional hair color
manufacturing. This transaction follows
earlier acquisitions in Italy, Xanitalia and
Tricobiotos, further consolidating Alfaparf
Group’s role as a global manufacturing
player in the professional beauty sector.
PRIVATE LABEL
For decades, the Alfaparf Group has
made its formulation know-how and the
international presence of its manufacturing
sites available to win over customers
who are looking for a partner capable of
developing innovative products to support
their brands on the market.
Specialist technical competence, a strong
relationship with the customer and a strong
predisposition to build lasting partnerships
are the characteristics that distinguish the
Private Label division of Alfaparf Group.
The consolidated technical and regulatory
competence allows custom development
and product validation to be carried out
in Italy, Brazil and Mexico, the three main
manufacturing sites of the Group.

In Fall 2018, Alfaparf Group began its
path towards sustainability, guided by the
belief that the ultimate goal in business
activity is not limited just to maximizing
profit: it must include the creation of
shared long-term value, for the benefit
of all corporate stakeholders and in the
interest of future generations. We want
to conduct our activities in a transparent
and responsible way, communicating our
strategy, our objectives and our results
to all stakeholders and integrating their
expectations into our decision-making
processes. We undertake to manage our
resources efficiently and strategically,
to generate value for the company and
also to contribute to the socio-economic
development of the territory in which we
operate, the growth of our people and of
all the individuals that make up our value
chain, the protection of the environment,
and the promotion of respect for human
rights.
The efforts made and the results achieved
have been recognized: in 2021 and 2022,
we were awarded as Sustainability Leader
in the ranking prepared by Statista for Il
Sole 24 Ore. This research was based on
the analysis of sustainability reports, by
evaluating the achievement of a series of
KPIs in three macro-areas: environmental,
social, and economic.
HERE ARE A FEW EXAMPLES OF THE
COMMITMENT THAT HAS LED US TO BE
A LEADER IN SUSTAINABILITY:
CLEAN ENERGY: 2 out of 5 production
plants use exclusively 100% renewable
electricity, 1 plant uses more than 80%
renewable electricity.
CO2 OFFSET: Natural gas CO2 emissions
of the Italian production plant are offset.
SUSTAINABLE INGREDIENTS: 40% of the
ingredients used in our formulations are
of natural origin and 18% are certified;
SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING: We use
recycled materials (aluminium, plastic and
paper) for Private label tailor-made
projects.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES: Almost all
employees are hired on permanent
contracts and women represent more
than half of the workforce;
SUSTAINABLE SUPPLY CHAIN: 100% of
new suppliers are selected on the basis of
ethical, social and environmental criteria
and almost 60% of 2021 expenditure is on
local suppliers;
ETHICS: The company has adopted a new
Code of Ethics, committing to uphold and
promote respect for human rights, nondiscrimination,
health and safety in the
workplace, zero tolerance for child labour,
the right to fair and supportive working
conditions, environmental protection and
the achievement of the Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) promoted by
the United Nations.
DIVERSITY&INCLUSION: “Beauty in all its
forms” project was created by Alfaparf
Group to offer young people with Down’s
syndrome the opportunity to undertake a
training
course to become hairstylist assistants.
SUPPORT TO VULNERABLE PEOPLE:
Through the Alfaparf Group Professional
brand, we are supporting Dynamo
Campo, a non-profit organization, which
arranges holiday camps with recreational
therapy for children suffering from serious
or chronic diseases and their families.

Enrica and Renato Ancorotti
Renato Ancorotti
Founded in 2009 by Renato Ancorotti and
his daughter Enrica, Ancorotti Cosmetics
has rapidly established itself as one of
the world’s leading makeup contract
manufacturers. In little more than a
decade, the company has grown from an
small laboratory rooted in Italian cosmetic
tradition into an internationally recognized
industrial partner for beauty brands across
the globe.
Just ten years after its inception, Ancorotti
Cosmetics was already recognized as one of
Italy’s most successful scale-up companies,
a testament to the strength of its vision and
the solidity of its manufacturing model.
Today, the company stands as a symbol
of Made in Italy excellence in the beauty
industry, combining advanced industrial
capabilities with a culture of craftsmanship
and product innovation.
From its headquarters in Italy, Ancorotti
Cosmetics collaborates with brands across
five continents, supporting a diverse
portfolio that ranges from global beauty
groups to fast-growing indie brands. The
company operates across multiple market
segments — from mass market to prestige
— providing scalable solutions that adapt
to the specific needs of each partner.
WORLDWIDE
EXCELLENCE, TAILORED
SERVICE
Ancorotti Cosmetics currently supports
more than 300 beauty brands worldwide,
offering flexible manufacturing and
solutions developed to accompany
brands at every stage of their growth.
The company’s strength lies in its ability
to combine industrial scale with a highly
personalized approach. Whether working
with established international groups or
emerging independent brands, Ancorotti
Cosmetics develops tailored projects that
reflect each partner’s positioning, identity,
and market strategy. This client-focused
philosophy has made the company a
trusted manufacturing partner for brands
seeking both reliability and creative
collaboration within the competitive global
beauty market.
STRENGTHS &
OPPORTUNITIES
One of the defining characteristics of
Ancorotti Cosmetics is its end-to-end
approach to product development. From
initial concept and formula development
to packaging sourcing and customization,
the company supports clients throughout
the entire creation process. Its integrated
structure allows brands to move efficiently
from idea to finished product, reducing
time-to-market while maintaining the
highest standards of quality and regulatory
compliance. The company’s teams work
closely with clients to translate brand
concepts into tangible, market-ready
products — combining formulation
expertise, industrial engineering, and
aesthetic design to deliver solutions that
perform both technically and commercially.
Made in Italy, with Love
At the heart of Ancorotti Cosmetics lies
a strong commitment to the values that
define the Italian manufacturing tradition:
scientific rigor, industrial know-how,
creativity, and attention to detail.
Innovation plays a central role in the
company’s development model, supported
by continuous investment in research,
technology, and production capabilities.
At the same time, the company maintains
a deep focus on sustainability and
responsible production, with a growing
commitment to processes that respect both
people and the planet. This combination
of technological innovation and humancentered
values reflects the company’s
philosophy: a form of industrial excellence
that remains rooted in craftsmanship,
passion, and long-term relationships.
MULTI-CATEGORY
STRENGTH
Today, Ancorotti Cosmetics stands as
the Maison of the Ancorotti Group,
a diversified beauty manufacturing
ecosystem covering multiple product
categories. Alongside Ancorotti Cosmetics
— specialized in makeup manufacturing —
the Group includes:
Cosmoproject, dedicated to the
development and production of skin care,
hair care, and body care products
Ancorotti Perfumes, the Group’s newest
company, focused on fragrance creation
and perfume manufacturing
Together, these companies enable
the Group to cover the entire beauty
spectrum, from skincare and haircare to
makeup and fragrance, offering brands a
comprehensive industrial partner capable
of supporting complex multi-category
product strategies.
A PARTNER FOR THE
FUTURE OF BEAUTY
As the global beauty market continues
to evolve, contract manufacturers play
an increasingly strategic role in helping
brands innovate, scale production, and
respond quickly to changing consumer
expectations. With its combination of Italian
manufacturing heritage, technological
expertise, and collaborative mindset,
Ancorotti Cosmetics positions itself as
more than a supplier: it acts as a strategic
partner for brands looking to transform
creative ideas into successful beauty
products. Through continuous investment
in innovation, talent, and production
excellence, the company continues to
strengthen its role within the global beauty
supply chain — helping brands bring the
next generation of cosmetic products to
market.

WHERE BEAUTY MEETS
TRANSPARENCY
Antares Vision Group is an Italian multinational
with a clear mission: to ensure product
safety and supply chain transparency
through innovative technologies. With advanced
inspection systems, serialization
solutions, and smart data management, we
create ecosystems that protect brands and
inspire consumer trust. At the heart of this
transformation is DIAMIND, our modular
digital platform that connects every step of
the cosmetics supply chain – from production
to the final consumer – guaranteeing
authenticity, quality, and sustainability. Today,
Antares Vision Group operates worldwide
supporting cosmetics companies in
digitalizing processes, improving efficiency,
and reducing environmental impact. Because
in beauty, trust is the ultimate value.
PROTECTING BEAUTY,
INSPIRING TRUST
The cosmetics sector is one of the most dynamic
and demanding industries in today’s
global economy. Consumers are increasingly
attentive to what they buy: they want
products that are authentic, safe, sustainable,
and aligned with their values. At the
same time, regulatory requirements across
different markets are becoming stricter,
calling for complete traceability and compliance.
Antares Vision Group responds
to these evolving needs with integrated
and digitalized ecosystems that guarantee
quality inspection, advanced serialization,
and end-to-end visibility across the entire
supply chain.
For cosmetics companies, this translates
into:
• Protecting brands from market diversion
and counterfeiting.
• Transparency that strengthens consumer
trust.
• Operational efficiency through automation
and digitalization.
• Sustainability by optimizing resources
and supporting circular models.
DIAMIND – the Group’s digital ecosystem –
interconnects inspection systems, traceability
solutions, and data management into
a single, modular platform.
THE BEAUTY OF BEING
UNIQUE
Every cosmetic product can be assigned
a unique digital identity through serialization.
This unique code ensures authenticity
and compliance while providing a powerful
tool to combat grey markets and market diversion.
Market diversion is a critical challenge
for cosmetics brands:
• Geographic diversion occurs when products
intended for one market reappear in
another, often at different price points, undermining
brand strategies and local regulations.
• Channel diversion happens when products
destined for a professional channel
(e.g., beauty salons or spas) leak into retail,
e-commerce, or unauthorized distributors.
Such practices not only erode margins but
also damage brand reputation and consumer
trust. Antares Vision Group’s Track
& Trace solutions deliver end-to-end visibility
that prevents these risks, ensuring
brands maintain control over their distribution
strategies.
DIAMIND CONNECT:
THE DIGITAL HEARTBEAT
OF BEAUTY
Behind every cosmetic product lies a journey
– from raw materials to the moment
it reaches the consumer. With so many
steps, visibility and control are essential to
protect both quality and brand integrity.
DIAMIND Connect makes this possible. As
part of the DIAMIND ecosystem, it brings
the entire cosmetics supply chain into the
digital age. By integrating real-time data
across production, logistics, and distribution,
it ensures full transparency and
provides predictive insights that empower
brands to stay one step ahead. With
DIAMIND Connect, beauty companies can
monitor product flows, detect anomalies,
and manage events with precision – guaranteeing
that every product story is authentic,
trustworthy, and complete.
INSPECTION SYSTEMS:
SAFEGUARDING QUALI-
TY AND IMAGE
Cosmetics production demands the highest
quality standards, especially in packaging,
filling, and labeling. Antares Vision Group’s
automatic inspection systems based on artificial
vision guarantee that every product
meets these requirements by monitoring:
• Packaging integrity and closure.
• Label accuracy, barcodes, and graphics.
• Correct fill levels in bottles, jars, or tubes.
• Aesthetic defects or irregularities.
• Micro-leak inspection for cosmetic aerosols,
with a brand new solution working inline
at full production speed, designed to
ensure product safety, compliance, and operational
efficiency beyond the limits of the
traditional hot water bath. These solutions
ensure that every product reaching the
market reflects the brand’s commitment to
safety, quality, and flawless presentation.
RETURNABLE ASSETS: A
SMARTER PATH TO SUS-
TAINABILITY
Antares Vision Group supports sustainability
with digital platforms that track and
optimize returnable and reusable assets—
from transport packaging to refillable containers—helping
cut costs and waste while
strengthening ESG goals.
QUALITY, SAFETY, TRANSPARENCY
TRACK THE FUTURE OF YOUR PRODUCTS
A GLOBAL PARTNER FOR
THE FUTURE OF BEAUTY
Since its founding in Italy in 2007, Antares
Vision Group has grown from a university
spin-off into a multinational company with
a presence in more than 60 countries, supported
by over 1,200 people and a network
of international partners.
This global reach allows us to support
cosmetics brands wherever they operate
– from established markets in Europe and
North America to fast-growing regions
such as Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
But we are more than a technology provider.
We are a trusted partner in the digital
transformation of beauty, helping companies
strengthen transparency, ensure compliance,
and protect what matters most:
consumer trust. Through the DIAMIND ecosystem,
advanced inspection systems, and
a strong ESG vision, Antares Vision Group
enables cosmetic brands to:
• Ensure authenticity and safety.
• Prevent market diversion and counterfeiting.
• Meet evolving regulations worldwide.
• Fulfill consumer expectations for transparency
and sustainability. Because in today’s
global beauty market, technology is
not just about efficiency – it is about building
confidence, protecting brands, and
empowering beauty.

across the five continents. Right from
the first product, Farmesil silicon spray, a
brainchild of founders Mariarosa Ceccon and
Piero Manzetti, it stood out for its innovative
and modern business approach. In the 80s,
the second generation came along with
Andrea Manzetti and Gianni Manzetti: they
contributed to the international success
of brands like Vitality’s, Neà-Spa and
Fascinelle that are well known for their
quality, sustainability and outstanding
performances.
The Present
Farmen is a traditional Italian firm strongly
linked to the local environment while at the
same time able to be truly International. They
have merged these two folding natures and
make it an essential point of their corporate
mission. Seventy percent of their staff lives
in Settimo Torinese, a town on the outskirts
of Turin where the plans of the company are
established since the beginning. 90% of the
first level suppliers can be considered local.
Farmen is also committed in supporting
the local Community sponsoring sports
activities, NPOs, students, hospitals and
other organizations. Despite roots deeply
embedded in their territory, Farmen would
not renounce to one of the most important
parts of its soul which is expand to foreign
markets either exporting their own brands or
supplying products for clients’ companies.
Farmen holds in high regard the role of
the staff for the organization, they are
considered a fundamental asset that
deserve best conditions and support.
The firm guarantees a healthy and well
protected working environment, transparent
recruitment policies, equal opportunities
and equitable remuneration, special terms
for maternity freedom for trade union
representation and continues professional
development.
PRODUCTION CAPACITY:
The entire production cycle,
with a capacity of around
100,000 items per day
SPECIALIZATIONS:
The Production
One of Farmen’s strongest points is the
ability to manage the entire production chain
within the company: from the initial concept
to the selection of raw materials and active
ingredients right up to production, delivery
and education. Farmen guarantees the
quality and reliability of its products through
a meticulous procedure that controls of
every step of the process. They apply tests
so stringent that no more than around
100 formulas are approved every year -
out of the approximately 1000 formulas
evaluated. This level of control over the
production phases is especially important
when producing for private label where the
manufacturer is responsible for the quality
and reliability of the product.
Committed to Values
Farmen is not new to embrace values such
as ‘respect for environment’, ‘safety at work’,
‘customer care’ and awareness that ‘profit
and responsibility’ cannot be separated.
Farmen has decided to go beyond this
mission statement, formalizing its values and
objectives with the project: “The sustainable
Colors of beauty”, a social responsibility
strategy that aims at promoting a new kind
of beauty, closer to the environment and the
people. The first result of this commitment
was the formalisation of the ‘Charter of
values and commitments’ which was born
as an evolving document and becomes
richer through dialogue with the firm’s
stakeholders.
With the aim to guarantee the maximum
possible quality of its products, Farmen has
developed a sustainable supply policy on
the raw materials based on environmental
and human rights protection. On top of that,
since 2018, Farmen has asked its suppliers
of the main ingredients respect this policy.
Furthermore the company provides support
and assistance in training before and after
sales to ensure that products are 100% safe
for humans and for the environment, thank
to thousands of analysis carried out each
year by quality control at R&D laboratories.
Efficiency
Technology plays a fundamental part in the
production phase. One example of many is
the automated system for bleach production
in a controlled microclimate that Farmen
has installed. This climate control system
operates within the factory - over 20,000
sqm - monitoring the temperature and
hydrometry and reducing polluting agents.
The entire production cycle, with a capacity
of around 100,000 item of product per day,
is monitored from start to finish to ensure
complete quality for every single product.

OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability is a core pillar of our corporate
strategy and guides every stage of product
development and manufacturing. Through a
structured sustainability policy, we actively
work to reduce the environmental impact of
our operations and our supply chain.
Around 50% of the energy used across
our facilities is generated by photovoltaic
panels, while electric vehicle charging
stations encourage low-emission mobility.
We promote a short and responsible supply
chain, sourcing approximately 90% of our
packaging materials in Italy and selecting
local raw materials whenever possible to
reduce transport-related emissions and
support local communities.
We assess the carbon footprint of selected
product lines as a first step toward carbon
compensation initiatives, including
reforestation projects.
Our Clean Care approach combines naturalorigin
ingredients with safe, high-performing
synthetic components, ensuring efficacy,
safety, and environmental respect. We also
promote conscious water use through
product design and communication.
Packaging impact reduction is a key focus.
We have eliminated cellophane film from
hair color packaging, saving approximately
15 tons of plastic per year, and we
continuously adopt sustainable materials
and green plastics. All cardboard packaging
is FSC-certified, and products clearly display
recycling and waste separation guidelines.

Marchesini Group Beauty, the cosmetics
business unit of Marchesini Group, designs
and manufactures machines and lines for
the processing and packaging of cosmetic
products. The solutions are designed and
built to meet the needs of any customer,
guaranteeing short lead times and maximum
reliability. The offer is completed by software
integrated into the machines and based on
AI: a fundamental tool not only for product
quality control, but also for preventing
counterfeiting in the cosmetics sector. In
addition to Marchesini Group machinery, the
cosmetics division includes several Italian
brands that have joined the Group over
the years: Axomatic, which manufactures
process machines and filling machines;
Cosmatic, specialized in the production of
lipsticks and lip balms; the Bologna-based
companies Dumek, providing process
solutions, and V2 Engineering, which
produces a wide range of solutions for
secondary packaging.
Finally, Rejves Machinery Srl, a brand
specialized in the construction of filling
and capping machines, and Vibrotech, a
Tuscan company that produces feeding
and orientation systems used in automated
industrial processes.
OUR HISTORY AND
SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY
For nearly 50 years, Marchesini Group
has been developing, manufacturing, and
managing high-technology solutions in
the packaging sector for pharmaceutical
and cosmetic products, supplying both
standalone machines and complete lines.
The company operates in constantly evolving
markets characterized by extremely high
quality standards, the application of digital
technologies, and new scientific discoveries.
Through its business model and the
management of its key drivers, Marchesini
Group contributes to technological, economic,
and social progress and aims to achieve the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Since 2015, Marchesini Group has voluntarily
published its Sustainability Report every year
according to GRI standards, reporting data
related to its emissions and, more generally,
its environmental performance. Starting
in 2025, although still on a voluntary basis,
MG has decided to publish its Sustainability
Report according to ESRS standards, in
compliance with Directive 2464/2022 (socalled
CSRD). Marchesini Group, aware of
the need to adopt integrated approaches and
multi-stakeholder collaborations to address
economic, social, health, and institutional
challenges, contributes through its strategy
and activities to achieving the SDGs of the
United Nations 2030 Agenda. The Group
annually completes Ecovadis and CDP
questionnaires, achieving progressively
higher scores.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
APPLIED TO QUALITY CON-
TROL
Developed by SEA Vision and ARGO Vision,
companies part of Marchesini Group, it is
the world’s first system for the automatic
control of lipsticks during production based
on Artificial Intelligence techniques. The
software automates the quality inspection
process of lipsticks, previously largely
entrusted to manual human control.
The core concept behind a-eye lipstick is to
solve a problem: the wide variety of features
that distinguish lipsticks (colors, finishes,
shapes, formulations, and combinations)
makes the inspection process an extremely
complex task when carried out with the use of
automated inspection with classical machine
vision systems. The system is based on
proprietary algorithms driven by Artificial
Intelligence: the use of innovative neural,
pre-neural and non-neural technologies
enables the ideal balance between
inspection quality and efficiency during the
production process. This innovative in-line
system for lipstick inspection has won the
Cosmopack Asia Awards 2023.

HANDMADE QUALITY FOR
A GLOBAL MARKET
TECNO DRY before Tecno Elettra, was
founded in 1982, as an Italian manufacturer
with the purpose of combining the tradition
of hand-made products with large scale
industrial production.
This ambitious objective was achieved over
time, with the drive for constant growth and
development found in the determination
and desire for continuous improvement,
in a right mix of tradition, local culture,
innovation research and quality.
Over time, new models were created
with the help of an increasing amount of
technology combined with the attention
to the details characteristic of Italian
workmanship.
and investments in Research and
Development as well as Quality Control,
together with numerous international
certifications. All of this allowed Tecno Elettra
to grow and consolidate its presence in
several countries.
Today, Tecno Dry makes available a
wide range of excellence products that
have become renowned in the field of
professional hairdryers, and with its
5 Product Lines and a comprehensive
customer satisfaction policy, the company
is able to meet the different needs of the
market.

PRIVATE LABEL ACTIVITIES
• BRANDING OF THE HAIRDREYER
A product without a brand is a lifeless object:
by applying your own trade-mark to the
product we give it a soul and let it express
the history and identity of your brand.
• CUSTOMIZE THE COLORS
It’s through colours that a product shows its
personality. That’s why we offer a wide range
of colours providing all kinds of options
based on your tastes and preferences.
• MODULAR PRODUCT
Functionality and aesthetics: the quality of
a product is based on these parameters. We
take into account your own needs and tastes
to create items with different performances
according to your market needs.
• CUSTOMIZE THE PACKAGING
The saying “you can’t judge a book by its
cover” doesn’t apply in the marketing field.
A product’s packaging is how a company
introduces itself to the end customer and
must fully express the brand image. This
is why we can customise the packaging
according to your requests, or we’ll create
the graphics ourselves with the help of
graphic designers and fashion experts.
• HANDBOOK
The handbook is not only a technical
document. By describing the method of
use and the technical characteristics of the
product, it enhances its value and gives the
company a certain prestige, strengthening its
image in the eyes of the end customer. This
is why we always add the customer’s name
to the handbook, thus providing another
useful tool for customisation and an increase
in brand awareness.

The value of a product must always be
