Il <strong>Centro</strong> <strong>di</strong> <strong>Preparazione</strong> <strong>Olimpica</strong> del <strong>Coni</strong> <strong>di</strong> Formia nasce nel 1955 grazie al desiderio<br />
<strong>di</strong> Bruno Zauli che volle dare all’Atletica Italiana un nuovo slancio.<br />
In Italia è uno dei 4 Centri <strong>di</strong> <strong>Preparazione</strong> <strong>Olimpica</strong>, unico ufficialmente riconosciuto<br />
dalla IAAF (International Association of Athletic Federation) come Accre<strong>di</strong>ted Training<br />
Center. Gran<strong>di</strong> campioni italiani e straneri, da Mennea e Sara Simeoni a Antonietta Di<br />
Martino e Yelena Isinbayeva, hanno trovato e trovano tuttora le con<strong>di</strong>zioni ideali per la loro<br />
preparazione e dove giovani promesse possono coltivare e ottimizzare il proprio talento.<br />
Who We are<br />
The Italian National Olympic Committee Olympic Training Centre in Formia began in 1955<br />
under the initiative of Bruno Zauli, who wanted to provide new stimulus to Italian athletics.<br />
In Italy it is one of 4 Olympic training centres, and the only one officially recognised<br />
by IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federation) as an Accre<strong>di</strong>ted Training<br />
Centre. Italian and foreign champions, inclu<strong>di</strong>ng Mennea and Sara Simenoi, Antonietta<br />
Di Martino, and Yelena Isinbayeva, have found and continue to find ideal con<strong>di</strong>tions<br />
for their training and promising young athletes can hone and optimise their talent..
