And rightly so, as management today looks at new ways to add value to its offering. We asked Bruno Seibert, President - Tongfang Global Germany – for Orion – what’s new at IFA this year… We have started now with a new TV and TV Combo generation including smart functions. All of the TVs include DVB-T2 with HEVC/H.265 and DVB-C/ S2 tuner. Furthermore, a new generation of UHD TV is being presented with built in UHD Tuner. They are easy to use and quick in response. Please tell us a little bit about the background to the Orion brand. Orion brand in Germany was established more than 40 years ago and since this time has retained a strong position in the consumer market. Orion was founder of the TV/VCR combination and later continued on with the TV/DVD Combination. Today, we have a full range of LED TV and LED TV/ DVD combinations starting from 22-inch right up to 65-inch in HD as well as FHD and UHD. We are also implementing our SEIKI brand with new features and products into the German market. You recently signed a major partnership with FOXXUM. Could you please tell us about this and what it will mean for buyers? We are thrilled to use a FOXXUM Smart TV Solution for our TVs now. This great content, combined with impressive skills in support of our sales activities and their reliable on-time delivery to meet our customers’ deadlines convinced us to engage with the worldwide market leader. We are now providing a state-of-the-art contentcentric Smart TV offering, which includes specialised regional content, catch-up TV, online shopping and a state-of-the art search and recommendation service to our customers. What are the key elements of your TVs that add value or make them “stand out” in the crowd? We are offering a full range from 22-inch up to 65-inch TVs, with and without Smart functionality. Furthermore, we are keeping our model range of TV-combos with integrated DVD Player from 22-inches up to 32-inches. A new unit with a size of 43-inches, including smart functions and integrated Blu-ray Disc Player is under development and will expand this successful combo range in the future. We are following the latest technologies in TV by giving the customer a high quality product for a reasonable price and a perfect sales and service support for our dealers as well as for the end consumer. How are you future proofing your TVs? Being close to the market helps us in acting quickly and efficiently to market demands. We are following the latest techniques and designs in our TV ranges, and this helps us to stay strong and successful in the future. Product is one thing… service is another. How are you working to deliver premium quality here? Our factories are producing to high quality standards and with very strong control procedures to fulfil all expectations. This has been a guarantee of overall high quality for many years. We provide our customers and end consumers with a well organised after sales service.
