We want visitors to experience the exciting ways that connectivity will impact on households. 1 CONNECTIVITY SECTION The epicentre of the Siemens stand is the technology section, presented in cool, vibrant colours. The connectivity theme is then extended across the entire stand, which is designed as an urban lifestyle loft, using pure and simple textures on the walls and floors. In the kitchen, Siemens is closing the final gaps in the digital home appliance range at IFA 2016 with connected extractor hoods and cooktops. To bring the experience to life, top German chef Alfons Schuhbeck will demonstrate how digital support, sophisticated sensors and automatic programmes allow professional results without stress. 2 COOLING AREA Alongside the technology section is a cooling area, which is also where the hospitality bar is located. Siemens has used dynamic cityscape backdrops to emphasise the futuristic feel of its product ranges. In a clever innovation Siemens is presenting its flagship refrigerators in a relaxing cinema room set-up where key product information is projected on the front of the relevant model. Highlights at IFA 2016 include a side-by-side version of Siemen’s connected refrigerator with camera. 3 AVANTGARDE APPLIANCES Connected dishwashers and laundry care appliances now feature energy management functions. Soon, Siemens dishwashers will be able to organise reordering supplies of dishwasher tabs automatically when stocks are low. In one eye-catching section of the stand, columns of steam are used as a striking visual aid to draw attention to Siemens’ ground-breaking ActiveOxygen technology. 4 EQ.9 HOME CONNECT COFFEE-MACHINE The EQ.9 Home Connect fully automatic coffee machine is the centrepiece of the Siemens stand’s chic and contemporary rooftop terrace area. A state of the art appliance, the EQ.9 can create an espresso that a barista would be proud of – not to mention a latte, ristretto, cappuccino and more.
