Hospitality WHERE TO GO

Hospitality WHERE TO GO IN Berlin HOLLYWOOD MEDIA HOTEL Sleep like the Stars “Live like a film star”: that is how the 4* Hollywood Hotel introduces itself. The hotel’s main connection to the silver screen is its owner, Artur Brauner – the renowned Polish film producer. The hotel is located on Kurfürstendamm, Berlin’s answer to the Champs-Élysées, and is the first hotel in Berlin to describe itself as a “movie hotel”. Hollywood Media Hotel Kurfürstendamm 202, 10719 Berlin Tel: +49 30 889 10-0 info@fi lmhotel.de Metro: S Savignyplatz S5 S7 S75 S9 You will find in their great offer of typically French cuisine, dishes such as Le Saumon Fumé, Les Escargots, Le Foie Gras, Les Huitres Fines de Claires, and that’s just the starters: typical dishes normally found only in brasseries. The Entrecôte has maintained its independence, and has not copied the interiors of its Parisian cousins. There is no fake Art Deco or plush at this place, in which the visitor is perfectly aware of being in a Berlin location. The modern and elegant but very comfortable interior is a priority of the management. This does not in the least impair the lifestyle. The opposite is the case: This is what makes the Entrecôte so real. Open Monday to Friday from 11:30 am to midnight; Saturday and Sunday from 5:30 pm to midnight Entrecôte Gaststätten GmbH Schützenstraße 5 10117 Berlin Mitte/Am Checkpoint Charlie Friedrichstraße Tel: +49 30 20 16 54 96 info@entrecote.de RESTAURANT REINHARD’S Passing through the massive swing doors of Reinhard’s you will find yourself in the world of the Golden Twenties. The atmosphere is underlined by the flair of Parisian cafés. The restaurant is lovingly decorated with pictures of celebrated theatre and movie stars and famous expressionist and naturalist paintings. The international kitchen with French finesse presents day and evening menus that change each week. One of their specialties -- “The Lucian Freud. Head and Shoulders of a Girl, 1990. UBS Art Collection Museums & Exhibitions LUCIAN FREUD: CLOSER Etchings from the UBS Art Collection Lucian Freud (1922-2011), grandson of Sigmund Freud, was born in Berlin, but is one of Britain’s most renowned artists, as in 1933, he was forced to leave Germany with his family and flee to England. His figurative works number among the masterpieces of the twentieth century. Fifty of his etchings are now being shown in Berlin for the first time. The artist developed his works through the close observation of people. His portraits are examples of intensive analytical contemplation Restaurants THE ENTRECÔTE The Entrecôte is a restaurant and brasserie right in the heart of Berlin, reflecting the spirit of Paris. While the “brasserie lifestyle spirit” can normally only be found in Paris, loved by many poets, writers and artists, The Entrecôte has brought this esprit to life in Berlin – without copying it. 54 secret of the Kaiserhof” -- is a dish that the kitchen of the Kaiserhof hotel once created for the artist Max Liebermann. The recipe of the sauce is still a secret. The philosophy of Reinhard’s is that one can eat and drink everything from croissant and coffee to an exclusive menu with vintage champagne.
