In 1957, thebusiness went into the hands of GünterManke, who expanded the restaurantand added a second house. 50 beds andan indoor swimming pool were part ofthe first hotel at the Bösehof.Heinrich Böse, sugar manufacturer,politician and benefactor, also known as" Der Besten Einer" (one of the best),chose this beautiful site for hisretirement in 1826. He was known as atalented public speaker and for hisphilanthropy, which included thedistribution of food to people in need intimes of hardship.THIS PHILANTHROPY HASDEVELOPED INTOHOSPITALITY AT THEBÖSEHOF.THE BÖSEHOF-FAMILYKEEPS ONWRITING HISTORYIn the year 2000, the second hotelbuilding was built and the wellness areaexpanded.
