NEW SHIP’S WHITE WINE GRENZHÜGEL RIESLING ORGANIC Crispy, well-balanced Riesling, offering citrus notes and delightful tropical flavours ORIGIN: Germany REGION: Rheinhessen GRAPE: Riesling STORY The family owned Weingut Frey is a 100% certified organic winery in one of Germany’s best-known wine regions called Rheinhessen. The roots of grape-growing in the family go back to the 18th century. Today, the latest generation of the family, Philipp and Christopher Frey, together with their father Stefan, carry the family tradition forward and oversee the winery operations. Four generations of experience and knowledge, combined with the latest technology, result in exceptional wines. WINE MAKING The region of Rheinhessen is renowned for its white grape varieties, Riesling being the most cultivated. The vines grow on small plots, mostly facing south to southwest, giving grapes more exposure to sun and making them ripe and juicy. The estate grapes for this wonderful Riesling are organically farmed on the soil that is rich in limestone. At harvest, the focus is on selective handpicking, followed by careful transportation to the winery and a soft press. FOOD PAIRING The fresh acidity and minerality of the Grenzhügel Riesling Organic are in perfect balance with the classic tones of green apple, pear, honey melon, white peach, and mandarin orange. This dry wine pairs perfectly with fish, seafood, and salads, or simply enjoy a glass with family and friends. Recommended serving temperature: 6–8 °C. Alcohol may be harmful to your health! 120
