NEW SHIP’S RED WINE

NEW SHIP’S RED WINE VILLA PARADISO CHIANTI ORGANIC Well-structured red wine that boasts a velvety smoothness, gentle tannins, and discernible red fruit undertones. ORIGIN: Italy REGION: Tuscany GRAPE: 95% Sangiovese, 5% Merlot STORY Passion, bravery, and dynamism are the cornerstones of the Piccini family and their estate. The history of the winery traces back to 1882, when Angiolo Piccini, born into a family of merchants, pursued his vision by founding a small winery in the heart of Tuscany, in the hills of Chianti. From this patch of land, Angiolo and his heirs brought the Piccini name to every corner of the globe. Over 140 years and five generations, the Piccini family pursued a singular objective: narrating the tale of Italy’s wines and its pursuit of excellence. WINE MAKING Carefully selected from Tuscany’s soil, the finest Sangiovese and Merlot grapes undergo meticulous processing at a controlled temperature, followed by an extended maceration period. FOOD PAIRING Villa Paradiso Chianti Organic presents a deep ruby hue with a vibrant and clear appearance. The nose reveals ripe red cherries, strawberries, and subtle earthy notes. The palate delivers a harmonious blend of Sangiovese’s bold structure and Merlot’s velvety texture, showcasing flavours of cherry, plum, and a touch of cocoa. With well-defined structure and balanced acidity, this wine goes perfectly with pork, barbeque, and pizza. Recommended serving temperature: 18 °C. Alcohol may be harmful to your health! 40

NEW CAPTAIN’S CHOICE CHAMPAGNE TAITTINGER LES FOLIES DE LA MARQUETTERIE Elegant, full-flavoured, harmonious Champagne, distinguished by its immense richness, complexity and juicy peach flavours. ORIGIN: France REGION: Champagne GRAPE: 45% Chardonnay, 55% Pinot Noir STORY Pierre Taittinger came to Château Marquetterie for the first time during the 1st World War. He totally fell in love with this place and promised that if he survived the war, he would be back to buy it. Fortunately, he had this opportunity during 1930 and he bought the château with the vineyard around. People from the village said that this vineyard didn’t have value due to the specificity of the ground – steep and difficult to cultivate. They said it was a craziness (folie in French) to take care of these grapes. This is the reason why the family decided to produce a cuvée only with grapes of Taittinger vineyard, named Les Folies de la Marquetterie. WINE MAKING Les Folies de la Marquetterie is made using the traditional Champagne production method. This cuvée is produced exclusively from grapes grown at Château Marquetterie Les Folies, picked after the first “green” harvest, giving the wine optimum sweetness and aromatic maturity. Only wines from the first pressing are used, each lot being vinified in small volumes and certain lots in oak casks. FOOD PAIRING On the palate, this Champagne is full-bodied, fruity, and graceful with golden peach flavours. The long finish is distinctive with light toasty notes. All in all, Les Folies de la Marquetterie is a full-flavoured, harmonious Champagne, distinguished by its immense richness and complexity. Besides being an ideal aperitif, it is a perfect accompaniment to fish and chicken dishes. Recommended serving temperature: 6–8 °C. Alcohol may be harmful to your health! 41
