89 About the Florist Having grown up in the Irish countryside, Neill Strain – who created the arrangements seen in these pages – developed an early passion for flowers. “At the age of 14, I started a Saturday job at a local flower shop,” he recalls, adding that the “roots of this passion can be traced back to my grandmothers, both of whom possessed a love for gardening.” With a pair of boutiques in Belgravia and Mayfair as well as a concession at Harrods, Neill Strain Floral Couture has been a London institution since 2008.
