|On Board| From left: AHPO at sea; the yacht‘s formal salon Previous page: the owner’s suite spectacular interior of this superb vessel have been released for the first time. Both the exterior and interior of this six-deck yacht were conceived by the Venice-based Nuvolari Lenard. Following a simple brief, the internal areas are linked by the elements of nature, with a harmony created by a balance between a colourful palette and sophisticated materials. The sharp exterior lines are timeless – a crisp white hull, with distinctive lines of black, scoop-shaped windows, an elegant bow and a graceful superstructure sweeping aft. The owner’s duplex apartment is split between a large 245sq m master cabin on the owner’s deck and a 95sq m panoramic salon placed above on the upper deck, all joined by a grand private staircase. The design is light, elegant and muted, with a custom fabric headboard decorated with maple tree leaves and bluebirds. There are “his and her” bathrooms – “his” has a combination of honey onyx and black portoro marble, and the shower has a mosaic inspired by a Klimt painting; in “her” bathroom and dressing room, pink marble was the choice. Both bathrooms have free-standing tubs, crafted by hand and themed black and gold for him and rose gold and copper for her. The panoramic salon with 180-degree views over the bow was an unusual design element according to Nuvolari, but one that works spectacularly. Another eye-catching space is the 205sq m wellness area on the lower deck. The Zen atmosphere contrasts with an explosion of colourful mosaic tiles in the hammam and day-bed area. A full spectrum of blue shades, from inky navy to pale-sky, perfectly complements the azure ocean water that can be enjoyed from the open sea terrace when AHPO is at anchor. The grand staircase links all the guest levels, all of which are distinguished from each other using a subtle map of marbles – blue onyx, green j’adore and grey lilac, while the floor throughout is calacatta borghini, punctuated with white onyx petals. AHPO can accommodate up to 14 guests in 7 luxuriously appointed guest cabins, catered for by a crew of 36. Even the crew quarters – 21 cabins in all – have been spaciously designed, with a large mess, a lounge and a gym in addition to their accommodation. She cruises at a top speed of 18 knots and the twin MTU 20V 4000 M73 engines have a range of 7,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. With a hospital room, two tenders, two rescue boats and four jet skis – she has it all. Green, efficient and living up to the owner’s dream, AHPO is a very modern vision of paradise. luerssen.com PHOTOS GUILLAUME PLISSON 76 CENTURION-MAGAZINE.COM
