|Reſlections| A cabana

|Reſlections| A cabana overlooks a spectacular sunset at Six Senses Ibiza Resorts are catching on, too, opening longevity clubs and anti-ageing programmes with soughtafter longevity experts in the hope that travellers will turn their holidays into rejuvenation boot camps. “A lot of people are looking at vacations as a time not just to get away from the daily hustle and bustle, but to rejuvenate and focus on their health,” says Shah, whose Next|Health clinic launched a multiday Longevity Protocol with Four Seasons Resort at Maui Wailea (next-health.com). The programme’s fast-track to youth begins almost immediately, when jet-lagged guests are hooked up to an IV on arrival, ultimately accelerating the start of their holiday, too. “They just feel depleted, right? So we can give them an IV therapy cocktail that can revamp their nutrient status and also rehydrate them effectively,” explains Shah. During the week, guests receive a host of treatments including ozone therapy, stem-cell therapy and exosomes therapy, as well as NAD+ IV drips and biomarker wellness testing, where their blood is evaluated for insufficiencies and genetic markers. “We can tell them what kind of changes they need to make in their health to start making their biomarkers look better,” adds Shah. The location itself is an additional rejuvenating factor: set on Wailea Beach, it’s hard not to feel calm and energised when gazing over the Pacific Ocean. At Six Senses in Ibiza, travellers can trade their party gear for spa gowns at the property’s newly launched Longevity with RoseBar programme ( sixsenses.com), where the hotel teamed up with Mark Hyman, MD and author of Young Forever. Guests can check in for a multiday anti-ageing boost in a serene setting overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The new spa’s itinerary is a combination of medically focused sessions, including a functional medicine consultation with a resident doctor, as well as treatments like IV infusions, cold-water immersions, breathwork and yoga. “It’s a combination of medically led programmes and treatments that work on the nervous system that can augment therapies and improve your resilience and therefore the ageing process,” says Lewis. One example: hot and cold therapy, such as an infrared sauna and cold plunge or full-body cryo, known to reduce inflammation. Across the sea on mainland Spain, leading health resort SHA Wellness Clinic has a programme (shawellness.com) which promises to slow biological ageing. The resort, which first opened in 2008 at the base of a reserve in Alicante, is known for its healthy fine-dining food, state-of-the-art treatment centre and spectacular Mediterranean views. Here, patients enrolled in the healthy anti-ageing programme have days packed with cardiological consultations, lungdetox nebulisations, liver ultrasounds and spirometry (a breath and lung test), as well as lymphatic drainage and acupuncture, all administered in the sleek clinic. Free time is spent lounging around the sparkling pool or partaking in group Pilates classes. For most of these resorts, a remote and exotic location proves key to helping guests destress and disconnect from daily life, further accelerating PHOTO ASSAF PINCHUK 60 CENTURION-MAGAZINE.COM
