IPC APEXEXPO 2025, which took place from March 18–20 at the Anaheim ConventionCenter in California, provided ample opportunities to connect, collaborate, andreimagine electronics manufacturing.Over 400 exhibitors engaged in three days ofbusiness development across 12,272 m 2 offloor space, and a total of 6,863 visitors were recorded.In keeping with the event’s theme of “Reimaginingthe Possibilities,” the event’s Technical ProgramCommittee built a strong conference program with15 topic tracks, 28 sessions and 79 presentations,featuring detailing original research and peer-reviewedcontent from global industry thought leaders.Addressing current topics such as artificial intelligence,high performance computing, advanced packagingand EV electronics, the conference sessionsand standards meeting provided an ideal platform todiscuss the latest innovations in capital equipmentand promote knowledge sharing and networking opportunities.A total of 3,541 industry professionalsfrom 39 countries attended the sessions.Dr John W. Mitchell, IPC President and CEO, commented:“Every year, I am reminded what an excitingand fast-paced tradeshow and conference [it canbe]—the colleagues you run into, the new people youmeet, the innovations you encounter, and the fascinatingdiscussions you dive into. He said the wide exposure to exhibitingcompanies in Anaheim “allowed us to findvendors that were able to provide specific solutionsto these problems. We even found products and servicesto dramatically improve our processes andfunctionality”.Industry uptickLead generation at the exhibition was boosted by anincrease in electronics industry demand in March.According to the IPC’s March Sentiment of the GlobalElectronics Manufacturing Supply Chain Report,industry demand during the month reached its highestlevel in nearly a year, indicating strong growthin customer and manufacturing activity. Shipmentindex figures also peaked in March, reflecting an increasein the ability of suppliers to fulfill orders andmaintain supply chain performance. “Capacity utilizationincreased to its highest level since late 2023,indicating strong operational activity and efficientresource deployment,” IPC added.Exhibitor Gregg Kleinberg, Chief Technical Officer atMicroscope World, commented that the company receiveda high number of leads on the first day of theexhibition. “Our team was thankful to see the resurgenceof activity in the PCB market and were gratefulto be part of all the positive energy at the show,”Kleinberg said.The expo is set to return to the Anaheim ConventionCenter on March 14–19 next year.www.ipcapexexpo.orgEPP Europe » 05 | 2025 11
