SPECIAL FEATURE: WTM LONDON A Place of Reflection, A Place for Business WTM – inscribed in the inevitable logic of support for reflection and decision-making WTM London in November fits into a global scenario of major travel and tourism events, which, although sometimes very different in size and scope, are essential to the regular and continuous growth of this industry, which many other economic sectors envy. Each show has its own specificities, particularly in terms of origin of exhibitors and visitors, and all compete with imagination and initiative to produce a stronger ROI for exhibitors and visitors. When it comes to WTM and particularly WTM 2015, the organisers emphasise in particular the business aspect of the event, announcing that the previous edition saw 1.1 million one-to-one on-stand meetings. This number of meetings – as generators of business – should get a further boost this year thanks to new initiatives such as the return of the Festival after the first edition last year, the expansion of the Wellness program which will include now the Wellness lounge, the expansion also of WTM Bloggers' Speed Networking and openness to international buyers of “A Taste of ILTM”. At the same time, the show also plays its role as a think tank with the presence of leading research organisations such as Mintel, Euromonitor International, Phocuswright and Ink Publishing, but also events such as the Ministerial summit in partnership with the UNWTO. Cleverdis has, over the years, become the professional media of reference of this industry through the production of professional publications (print & digital) as a platform for communication between the different key actors of this industry: policy-makers, economic, DMO, TO, TA, etc. We are therefore particularly proud this year that our Hotel & Tourism SMARTreport has been chosen by WTM 2015 as Official Media Partner of the exhibition.
