EXPERT TALKS@IFA GLOBAL MARKETS Expert Talks is part of IFA Global Markets, now in its second year, brings together on stage some of EMEA’s most knowledgeable buyers and procurement executives in consumer electronics, consumer IT and home appliances. Highlights this year will include a keynote address, a keynote panel and the Experts Reception on Tuesday, September 4. To be held in STATION- Berlin, Expert Talks features experienced buyers who work regularly with the world’s manufacturers, private label and OEM/ODM suppliers will talk about their approach to sourcing products. These talks, in the form of speeches and industry panels will provide insights to buyers, manufacturers, and press who need to understand the latest in buying requirements, new opportunities and challenges. EXPERT TALKS IS PART OF IFA GLOBAL MARKETS, NOW IN ITS SECOND YEAR “It’s a format that is friendly and conducive to personal networking, as well as bringing together successful executives in OEM and white labelling,” said Bob Snyder, Editor-in- Chief at Channel Media Europe who will moderate the Expert Talks. “Any buyer or seller can gain money-in the-bank insight into what’s selling and what’s coming down the pipeline.” Snyder added: “While buyers always search the globe for the ‘Next Big Thing’, much of their daily work is to find smaller, faster, cheaper, or better versions of what’s selling. Expert Talks offers a forum for buyers to understand common problems, share experiences, and learn about the business from different angles – generalists can learn from specialists, distributors can better understand a retailer’s perspective, for example. “These industry panels will also solve the missing link for many manufacturers: providing a roadmap of the supplier evaluation process, the current sourcing interests of buyers, and their advice for suppliers.” Expert Talks’ different panels will reflect a number of channel segments, much of the European geography, and various product categories. Topics including IoT, robotics, voice, AI, virtual & mixed reality will be covered as well as traditional consumer and home electronics (TV, audio, mobile, small kitchen appliances). The audience will be invited to join in the discussion and ask questions from the experts on the panel.
