NEWS French Startup Signs Deal with Motorola Tempow Bluetooth to be embedded in the OS on the new moto x4 handset Meet Your Heroes, Virtually, at VR Star Island Sports stars join Staramba for launch of celebrity VR experience Staramba SE, together with German soccer stars Fredi Bobic and Tim Wiese, premiered its virtual reality (VR) experience VR Star Island. September 3, 2017 saw the global launch of Staramba’s VR app at the IFA NEXT innovation space. Bobic presented stars from the Real Madrid soccer team and Wiese presented stars of WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) at the company’s stand, at the same time answering questions from guests attending the event. For VR Star Island, more than 500 top celebrities from the worlds of sport, film, music and entertainment were scanned with the company’s 3D-Instagraph 2.0. The VR database already has more than 7,000 datasets with highly complex and high-quality developer work. The result is one of the world’s largest VR databases and a catalogues from which the VR software VR Star Island will in future be able to take its pick. In VR Star Island, users can meet their real-life idols and interact with them in virtual reality with the aid of VR glasses, and can share their experiences on social media at the same time. “There is no better location than IFA NEXT at which to present VR Star Island to VR fans around the world. IFA is where the digital world meets in analogue mode,” Staramba SE’s CEO Christian Daudert said. “That is fine by us because we attach great importance to personal contact with customers and business partners. And absolutely everyone can look forward to VR Star Island because, although VR hardware technology is developing rapidly, there is still a shortage of a genuine social experience in which fans can meet their idols and stars virtually. We aim to fill this gap. I am optimistic that we will reach another important milestone on Staramba SE’s way to becoming an internationally prominent enterprise in the 3D and VR sector” French startup Tempow has announced a global supply arrangement with Motorola to launch the moto x4 smartphone with Tempow Bluetooth technology pre-installed on every device.
