According to Moroccan tourism officials, the region is ideal for sports enthusiasts – Kite surfing and surfing. Transavia launched a weekly link from Orly on 30 October. Other popular destinations with the French include Essaouira and Saidia, which a number of tour operators are including in their programmes. The award was presented to Rocio Jolivet, Country Manager France of Oman Air, by Oman’s Minister of Tourism, HE Ahmad Al Mahrizi. A reduction in the price of visas for Oman, the commissioning of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the opening of the Muscat terminal with optimum conditions of comfort: all elements that explain the success of Oman Air in France. “Our daily flight is very much in demand in the French market”, says Rocio Jolivet. “Oman remains our most popular destination in France, especially with the emergence of the tourist centre of Salalah in the south. This is followed by India where we offer 11 destinations”, she says. Living in the 15 th arrondissement and working in a top-end restaurant on the Champs Elysées, she knows some of the more “trendy” places to go in the French capital. Around ten years ago, the Mama Shelter opened Alcazar Restaurant-Bar its doors in Paris’ 20 th arrondissement. “It was like some kind of UFO, it was so different from anything we’d seen,” Saadia explains. We accompany her to Mama Restaurant, with its large rough tables, family-style dishes and its graffitied ceilings. The weather is beautiful so we head to the rooftop, awarded best rooftop in Paris by Vogue last June. “I love having lunch here, especially the Mezze-- the hummus or Espelette peppers, the guacamole and grissino, stracciatella, cherry tomatoes” Saadia shares. Next we turn towards the Jardin des Plantes where we decide to enjoy the beautiful day by taking the Batobus, an economical way to take in Paris’ monuments along the Seine. We then head down to Saint-Germain-Des-Prés and arrive at the restaurant/bar Alcazar. Mama Shelter Restaurant “I love the atmosphere of this place, especially its flowery gardenstyle interior. I come here often and settle myself at the balcony 109 rue de Bagnolet, Paris 20 ème bar and enjoy an exotic-fruit cocktail as if I were in the middle of Alcazar Restaurant-Bar the forest” Saadia tell us. 62 rue Mazarine, Paris 6 ème We stay on the rive droite and push on towards Invalides before arriving at the spot Saadia chose for our dinner, , the Cléo Restaurant Cléo Restaurant, very trendy offering premium atmosphere, " I strongly 19 Boulevard de la Tour-Maubourg, recommend their wine and food paring menu". Saadia proposes. Paris 7 ème BONS PLANS D'UNE PARISIENNE Native de Paris, Saadia, 28 ans, vit dans le 15 ème arrondissement et travaille dans un restaurant haut de gamme des Champs Elysées. Nous lui avons demandé de partager avec vous ses adresses “branchées” de la capitale française… Il y a environ dix ans, le Mama Shelter ouvrait ses portes à Paris dans le 20 ème arrondissement. “C’était comme une sorte d'OVNI, tellement différent de tout ce que nous avions vu” nous explique Saadia. Elle nous amène donc au Mama restaurant, avec ses grandes tables brutes, ses plats familiaux simples et ses graffitis au plafond. Il fait beau, alors direction le Rooftop, élu meilleur rooftop de Paris par Vogue en juin dernier. “J’adore déjeuner ici en commandant des Mezzes – houmous au piment d’espelette, guacamole et gressins, stracciatella tomates cerises” se réjouit Saadia. Ensuite direction le Jardin des Plantes où nous décidons de profiter de cette belle journée pour emprunter le Batobus, un moyen économique pour admirer les monuments parisiens le long de la Seine. Nous descendons à Saint-Germain-Des-Prés et arrivons au restaurantbar Alcazar. “J’adore l’atmosphère de cet endroit avec son intérieur fleuri à l’allure de jardin. J’y viens souvent pour m’installer au balcon bar et déguster un cocktail à base de fruits exotiques comme si j’étais en pleine forêt” nous confie Saadia. Nous restons rive droite et poussons jusqu’aux Invalides avant d’atteindre le lieu que Saadia a choisi pour notre dîner, le restaurant Cléo, avec son ambiance distinguée , " Je recommande tout spécialement leur menu accord mets et vins". nous conseille Saadia.
