Where the world meets Welcome to the 15th edition of ITB Asia. The trade show is welcoming buyers, exhibitors, speakers and convention delegates from around the world to ITB Asia, the largest travel trade show on the continent. But this 2022 edition is particularly special. ITB Asia has returned as a physical event after the virtual formats of the Covid-19 pandemic. Looking at the number of companies and visitors who registered for ITB Asia, it is clear that this in-person edition has been eagerly awaited. Tourism is all about discovering other cultures, other countries, learning and meeting people, and ITB Asia 2022 certainly gives visitors this opportunity. The show welcomes over 13,000 travel professionals from around the world, who will fill the halls and conference rooms of the Sands Expo and Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands over the next three days. Once again, ITB Asia aims to be the place where the world meets, where all the different stake holders discuss the issues and trends of the travel and tourism sector. This year's conference programme reflects the optimism of the industry. The anchor theme is “Go Big & Go Forward: Travel Industry on the Road to Recovery and Growth”. All the signs point to a sharp bounce back of the travel industry and experts at the conference will help decipher the main trends. A big thank you to the show's official partners who decided to accompany the first Post- Covid in-person edition of ITB Asia. Also to the Saudi Tourism Authority, the show's official Official Partner Country, to Berlin Brandenburg Airport, the Official Partner Airport and to Marina Bay Sands, the Official Partner Hotel. As part of the collaboration, these key exhibitors occupy very prominent booths at the show and bring key outbound buyers to ITB Asia. They are also taking an active role, participating in several sessions of the ITB Asia Conference cycle 6 ITB ASIA NEWS • WEDNESDAY 19 OCTOBER 2022 www.itb-asia-news.com
