I NEWS I Exciting award ceremony showcases best of the best at ITB Berlin 2023 ITB is finally back in Berlin this year, marking also the comeback for one of the most coveted prizes at the world’s largest travel trade show: The Best Exhibitor Award ceremony is making its return in-person at ITB Berlin. The Best Exhibitor Award ceremony celebrates ITB Berlin's top exhibitors across 11 categories, presented by the CBS International Business School. All stands will be assessed over two rounds throughout the three day trade show, with honours handed out on Thursday, March 9. Don't miss ITB Berlins's dazzling Diversity Tourism Gala Dinner 2023 at the Ritz-Carlton © CBS Business School Exhibitors will be evaluated by an international team of 15 students from various branches of the business school. Ahead of the trade show, all individual and combined stands were divided into 11 categories according to geographical location or market segment, including Germany, Europe, Asia/Australia/Oceania, America/ The Caribbean, Near/Middle East, Africa, Hotel Business, Carriers, Travel Organisations, Travel Support & Media, Travel Technology Together with the Cologne-based consultancy co:compass, the judges will be assessing the appeal of stand designs, customer contact and communications and sustainability efforts. Furthermore, there is a Best of Best category for the exhibitor with the highest points score. The stand assessment criteria, including an initial and final assessment, are available online and can be used as orientation for future trade show appearances. CBS students are also involved in planning and organising the presentation of the coveted Best Exhibitor Award ceremony which will take place on the Blue Stage in Hall 7.1b from 6.30pm Thursday. Exhibitors nominated to take part will be informed by the CBS team ahead of the event. The event is open to all visitors, exhibitors, tourism professionals and friends of the event. ITB Berlin attendees are invited to a dazzling Diversity Tourism Gala Dinner which promises to be a night to remember. The event will take place on Thursday March 9 at the Ritz-Carlton, in Potsdamer Platz Berlin. Those planning to attend the event, from 7pm to 11pm, are encouraged to purchase their tickets here to guarantee their place, with limited seats available. The night is set to take off with a bang at the glamorous welcome reception before attendees take their seals for the Diversity Tourism Gala Dinner and evening entertainment. A silent auction fundraiser which has been on for some weeks will come to its end and will fully support the IGLTA Foundation. The 2023 winner LGBTQ+ Pioneer Award will also be honored during the event. The Diversity Tourism Gala Dinner is being to also support the IGLTA Foundation, the charity arm of the International Gay&Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA), a long-standing partner of ITB Berlin. The Foundation empowers the LGBTQ+ community through education, research and leadership. Further to the Gala, there will also be a rich offer of areas, sessions and events dedicated to LGBTQ+ Tourism in the LGBTQ+ Pavilion in Hall 4.1, such as the LGBTQ+ Media Brunch in the Pavilion on Tuesday and the ITB DIVERSITY GALA Thursday, 9 March 2023 > 7.00pm – 11.00pm Location: Ritz Carlton, Potsdamer Platz, Berlin LGBTQ+ Business Summit on ITB Thursday and many interesting discussions of the segment's own stage.
