Two weeks later, the chef treats us magnificently: tuna tartare and baked Camembert with jam, followed by three main courses: Argentinian steak tira de ancho with chimichurri, lamb fillet with beetroot and autumn vegetables and a beef burger. Dessert? Again no free space. So we have to come back again. Whereas last time we agreed upon our highlights, this time we have differing favourites. While I have fallen in love again with the burger and its sauce, Michael has become enchanted by the lamb in a rich red wine sauce, root vegetables and above all beetroot. The beetroot bewitches the whole dish with its unique earth flavour, its simultaneous sweetness which harmonises perfectly with the red wine sauce. We have never tried this anywhere before. We got to know the chimichurri in a completely new way. Although before we only tried this sauce made out of dried herbs, it has now been prepared with fresh herbs by Pawel. It is a true herb explosion in your mouth. Then, a potato chip fell into the chimichurri – Mjam – perfect. The accompanying Tira de Ancho is a 450 gram special cut. Not necessarily something for rib eye steak lovers - but all the more so for those who like it fat-free though tender. With all the incredible mains we forgot the starters. The Camembert was tasty yet mighty. Our tip: share one between two. The jam was equally amazing quality. Altogether satisfying and perfectly suited for a comfortable night in front of the television – a shame that Westend doesn’t have a delivery service ;-) Rest assured that whenever a restaurant offers tuna or salmon tartar, Michael will order it. The tartar was fresh and juicy. The sesame seeds fit perfectly. It does not reach the high bar set by the amazing salmon tartar in Parrots (CC Yumbo) however, it is definitely worth a mention. And the price? 5.90€, anywhere else you would only get fish fingers. Our conclusion: Dear readers, amazing food, fair price and you will go home full as well. Diana Seite 12 MUY BIEN

It captivates you with its fresh but down to earth charm and its team of four around owner Tina, who make every customer feel as if they were on holiday. Now we have the agony of choosing. 10 variations are available from a sweet French breakfast to a heart male one or even one to satisfy the fitness fans. Or shall we stay creative and build our own breakfast? Neither of us are sweet bunnies in the morning, we prefer it savoury. Therefore we decide on the Mens’ breakfast, and now that we’re at it we’ll choose the prime one – the gourmet breakfast. Often, you can judge a breakfast joint on is scrambled eggs – so they shouldn’t be amiss. Filter coffee or a freshly brewed tea – no problem. A glass of prosecco and orange juice is served as it accompanies the gourmet breakfast. The orange juice is rather tasty; unfortunately it is not freshly pressed. Does the complaining start? No – that’s it with our negative points. There is a large selection if sausages within both breakfasts. Smoked salmon, meat salad and cheese come with the gourmet breakfast. The home-made jam is served in small porcelain containers. The scrambled eggs are prepared on the spot, with bacon or ham. They serve decent portions and we return home satisfied and happy and are already eagerly awaiting the buffet on the weekend. Two days later we return to Tina’s cafe and load our plates full at the breakfast buffet which has all your hearts desires: German ground pork, salmon, a large sausage and cheese selection, salads, mueslis and a lot more; and all this with limitless coffee for 11.90 Euros. Our great experience from last week continues on with the buffet. All thumbs! What do we find great? Super nice team, cosy atmosphere, daily homemade cakes and very, very fresh sausages from the German butcher.... and of course a roll with fresh pork and onions At Café Europa, quality and attention to detail count. Love for breakfast! Thank you dear Tina.
