NOTES FROM NETJETS

NOTES FROM NETJETS Latest events, onboard updates, and companywide news and profiles. FIRST PRIZE Echo Zulu ridden by Joel Rosario won the Netjets Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies race TIM SUDDUTH/ECLIPSE SPORTSWIRE/BREEDERS’ CUP BREEDERS’ CUP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS NetJets has solidified a two-year partnership with the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, the year-end culmination of the equestrian season. This year, the event was held at Del Mar racetrack in Del Mar, California, and will return to Lexington, Kentucky, in 2022. As the Official Private Aviation Partner of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships and Challenge Series, NetJets sponsored our own race—the NetJets Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies—as well as three areas dedicated to hosting NetJets Owners and guests. We welcomed a concierge at L’Auberge hotel, where most U.S. horse owners stayed, a suite area at Del Mar, and the Champions Terrace presented by NetJets, a private area where winners and guests celebrated their victories. 32 NetJets

JULIAN RENTZSCH NETJETS BY THE NUMBERS GLOBAL CYBERSECURITY 24/7/365 Cybersecurity monitoring and response (Protecting Owner data with industry-standard encryption and data-loss prevention) INSIDE TRACK DOUG HENNEBERRY Executive Vice President, Aircraft Asset Management WHEN DID YOU START AT NETJETS? I started as a part-time weekend receptionist in June 1994. Back then, we had around 25 planes and fewer than 200 employees. I was introduced to the company by a handwritten fl yer that caught my eye while I was at OSU working towards my BS in aviation. After graduating in 1995, I became a full-time dispatcher and held multiple roles with increased responsibility. WHAT DOES YOUR NORMAL DAY CONSIST OF? I am always thinking about strategy and innovation within the company. For me it’s twofold: Trying to fi gure out the best airplanes to enhance our corporate goals while maintaining our industryleading fl eet, and growing QS Partners to be the most respected and largest aircraft broker. This requires a tremendous amount of collaboration within NetJets and with our OEM (original equipment manufacturers) partners. 810 ADVANCED Industry-leading advanced cybersecurity rating (The highest of any private aviation provider) DAILY PHISHING TESTS Consistent and persistent employee testing (Every NetJets employee must recognize phishing attempts) 6,500+ EMPLOYEES Trained in cybersecurity best practices (This includes all employees of NetJets Inc., including subsidiaries) ZERO MISHAPS Our goal, with safety as our first and highest priority (We view data protection as a core component of safety.) WHAT IS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE YOU FACE IN YOUR ROLE? The most diffi cult challenge is acquiring additional aircraft because of the expansive growth cycle we are experiencing. Secondly, keeping our standardized fl eet like new and specifi cally up to date with the rapid technology refresh. This allows NetJets to concentrate efforts on the in-fl ight experience of our aircraft and to deliver the right aircraft in the right place at the right time. ISTOCK NetJets 33
