NOTES FROM NETJETS JULIAN RENTZSCH work at NetJets, I jumped on it. The owner of the greeting card company fl ies with Executive Jet Management, and I always enjoy seeing him and his wife when they travel through Teterboro. THE ONE DAY AT NETJETS I WON’T FORGET IS … any time departments come together as a team and show our Owners how much we truly care about them and their families. When an Owner has an urgent travel need, we will move Heaven and Earth to get them where they need to be––and that is where we truly shine. CREWMEMBERS IN PROFILE EILEEN O’BRIEN NetJets Service Representative MY FIRST EXPOSURE TO AVIATION WAS … growing up in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, which is the next town over from Teterboro. Our two towns are very connected and to honor aviation all of our athletic teams in Hasbrouck Heights—from grade school through high school—were named the “Aviators”. THE BEST PART OF BEING A SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE IS … building relationships with not only our Owners and their families but also our Crewmembers. We really do become family, and I love that. When I see an Owner or Crewmember get as excited to see me as I do them––especially after the last year and a half–– it truly makes my day. BEFORE JOINING THE NETJETS TEAM, I WAS … an accounting clerk for a company that made holiday and greeting cards for large businesses. I enjoyed the work but felt that my strengths would be benefi cial in a service-focused profession. When there was an opportunity to ONE THING OWNERS PROBABLY WOULDN’T GUESS ABOUT ME IS … I am a huge murdermystery novel and podcast lover––the more plot twists, the better. I am truly impressed by any author who can craft an unpredictable story. I am a huge fan of James Patterson. ON MY DAYS OFF … I spend time with family and friends––it is my top priority. I also spend a lot of time outdoors exercising and enjoying nature. I look forward to when we can start doing 5K races again in person. Over the past fi ve years, I have combined my love of running with raising money for the causes that I care about most. These include the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, American Cancer Society, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and Angel Flight Northeast. WITHIN THE NEXT TEN YEARS, I WOULD LIKE TO … strengthen my public speaking skills and broaden the subjects that I present in my role as Training Coordinator. I would also like to mentor and pass along my knowledge to the next generation of Service Representatives. At the same time, I would like to fi nd my next challenge at NetJets that will enable me to grow professionally within the company. MY BEST ADVICE FOR STAYING SANE IN THESE HIGH-VOLUME ACTIVITY DAYS IS … stay hydrated. Find time to eat. And make sure you are getting in your workouts during your off time––it will give you the mental clarity and physical strength you need to take on the day. 36 NetJets
