It is a dynamic, engaged form of learning characterized by active collaboration, real-world problem solving, hands-on application of classroom theories, in-depth engagement with content or simulation of skills outside a traditional academic classroom. ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE U.S. News and World Report continues to rank our library and information studies, occupational therapy and physical therapy programs among the nation’s best. And, our master’s degree in nursing is ranked among the top five in the state. SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH COMMONS The newest building on campus features research space to support biology, chemistry and biochemistry, nutrition and food sciences, and psychology. It’s also home to the only master’s in biotechnology program in North Texas where students will collaborate with local biotech companies. This million, state-ofthe-art center opened in Fall 2020.
