Keep Moving Committed to Health Weaving wellbeing into the university experience At Texas Woman’s, we believe wellbeing is a core principle to self-care – one that correlates with productivity and life satisfaction. Furthermore, it is a practice that must be taught and developed in multiple dimensions and personalized to fit every person within the university community. Our vision when we launched this initiative was to reach a plateau where every member of the Texas Woman’s community would identify health and wellbeing as an essential thread woven through the fabric of their Texas Woman’s experience. Soulgood Cynthia Nevels ’96, ’10 cut her culinary teeth serving vegan fare from a food truck. Now, she’s offering soul-pleasing, award-winning meals from her Denton campus cafe. Soulgood Menu eatsoulgood.com Nursing legacy program turns 50 In 2022, TWU celebrated the 50th anniversary of its nursing science PhD. With 700 alumni, many of them in critical teaching positions, the program has had a major impact on the nursing profession in Texas.

Walking & fitness trails Regents authorized a plan to create a network of walking trails on the eastern portion of the Denton campus to support our health and wellbeing initiative. Biophilia hypothesis We are using a scientific concept of bringing the outside in to our new facilities, creating more spaces that draw on the outdoor aesthetic. Outdoor classroom The university also has plans for an outdoor space that could serve as a location for classes, group discussions and small events Health Sciences Center The Texas Legislature approved 0 million for a health sciences building on the Denton campus, which will boost activities in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and other programs. 17
