WELCOME HOME Living on

WELCOME HOME Living on Campus Living on Campus With its historic buildings, Lowry Woods walking pathway, large turtles sunning by the Texas Pond and a bike-friendly atmosphere, TWU’s Denton campus is known for its beauty and as one of the safest colleges in the nation and state, according to the National Council for Home Safety and Security. Our students who live on campus feel like a part of the university community, have greater satisfaction with their college experience, perform better academically and are more likely to graduate. twu.edu/housing CARE Office TWU’s Campus Alliance for Resource Education (CARE) is a support center for commuters, veterans, adult learners, online learners, students with families, students living off-campus and those aged out of foster care. Dining Options Pioneer Kitchen has options available for all tastes and preferences. Enjoy Starbucks in the library, grab a salad on the go, hang with friends at Chick-fil-A or Qdoba in the Student Union at Hubbard Hall, or relax at Soulgood, an award-winning vegan restaurant in Oakland Complex. The state-of-the-art Dining Hall features a variety of food preparation and serving stations, including allergen-free menus. twu.edu/dining Living Learning Communities (LLC) Integrating experiences inside and outside the classroom, LLC students build connections with other students, faculty and university leaders by enrolling in the same classes, living together in residence halls, and participating in related social and academic activities. twu.edu/care Student Union at Hubbard Hall Grab a bite to eat, enjoy the game room, study in a lounge area, relax in the meditation room or explore the art gallery in the student union. Meeting rooms and conference space are available for organizations and special events. The renovated and expanded historical building became the new home of the student union in 2020. 6 | Transfer Students
