THE RESTAURANT | DECK 2 INGRID HAUKELIDSÆTER 1968 X NORWAY X LITHOGRAPHY Born in 1968, Norwegian painter and lithographer Ingrid Haukelidsæter was educated at the Academy of Fine Art in Oslo, Norway, and the Villa Arson in Nice, France. THE RESTAURANT | DECK 2 SUSANNE GOTTBERG 1964 X FINLAND X LITHOGRAPHY Susanne Gottberg’s creations depict details from real life in a sensitive, almost intimate manner, and give complex references to the history of art. In an almost poetic way, she reveals her innermost thoughts about humanity. More recently, Gottberg has articulated a new approach to surface, space, texture and pattern while retaining the simple use of wooden boards applied with transparent glaze. The multiple layers give the paintings a clean and glossy surface. There are few collections in Finland without representation from Gottberg, who lives and works in Helsinki, Finland. OBJECT | 2012 49
