I REGION I FRANCE I A LIGHT AND FRUITY RED FOR BISTROS AND RESTAURANTS Filth generation winemakers Jean Christian and Sophie Bonnin from Anjou in the Pays de La Loire has been producing wine sustainably for more than 20 years. Located on the border of the Saumur and Anjou Rouge Appellations, Famille Bonnin, also known as La Croix Des Loges, is presenting its light and fruity Cabernet cuvée "Un Point C’est Rouge". Sophie and her husband, who both trained in œnology in Montpellier, come to Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris every year and are looking for exporting partners. Sophie said: “We are targeting restaurants and bistros with this red, which goes well with everything, including charcuterie and cheese. During the summer months it can be drunk a little chilled and can keep for up to five years.” Vino Up gives Burgundy's vineyards a boost Vino Up, a company which helps wine and spirits makers to develop their distribution networks, is accompanying five Burgundian vineyards at Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris 2023. The company works primarily with family or young vineyards across the region who are looking to grow their brand and access international markets. This year the company is presenting Domaine Christophe Camu, Domaine Olivier Morin, La Cave du Maître de Poste, Baptiste Bienvenu and Distillerie Valour+Lemaire. All five are from Lyonne in Northern Burgundy, an area famous for its Pinot noir reds which are characteristically fresh and elegant. Flavie Culot, who cofounded the company two years ago, said: “All of our winemakers have hidden gems which are just waiting to be discovered. We help them access international markets including the United States, United Kingdom and Scandinavia, as well as the Asian markets.” The Burgundybased agency works with French wineries, breweries and distilleries, to promote their products on the French and international markets. It currently has a portfolio of wines from Burgundy, Grand Auxerrois and Chablis, as well as craft spirits and beers, which is continuously growing with new nuggets from across the terroir Hall 3 / Stand D-138 The Terra Vitis certified domaine, which is already working with partners in the United States and Japan, is also presenting its award winning Rosé de Loire range. Made from Cabernet and Grolleau, the rosés have a lot more character than those found further South and are therefore better suited to having with meals. Spread over 43 hectares, mainly in Martigné Briand near the town of Terranjou, the vineyard also experiments with Chardonnay, Grolleau, Gamay and Pineau d´Aunis for the creation of innovative cuvées Hall 3 / Stand C-058 A unique recipe for Pinot Gris rosé Domaine Jean Becker near the charming village of Zellenberg in Alsace, has created a bottle of rosé like no other. The domaine, which is run by brothers and sister, Jean-Phillipe, Jean-François and Martine Becker, is presenting its natural wine range at Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris 2023. The range with no added sulphites includes an original rosé, Pinot Gris Vin Nature, made with Pinot Gris grapes using an innovative wine making process. Rather than leaving the grapes to macerate for a day as is traditionally the case with rosé, they are left for a full month before being placed into casks. Speaking at Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris, Martine said: "There are very few vineyard making rosé with Pinot Gris grapes. When the grapes are picked they are usually slightly redbrown, but after the maceration they become completely white. We weren't really sure what to expect, but it turns out the wine tastes really nice." The vineyard, which has been using responsible farming methods since 1999, preferring to rely on homemade compost made with herbal teas and algae, offers four appellations including Les Crémants d'Alsace, Les Alsaces, Les Alsaces Grand Crus and Le Marc d'Alsace Gewurztraminer Hall 3 / Stand A-114 14 • THE DAILY • WEDNESDAY 15 TH FEBRUARY 2023 wineparis-vinexpo.vinexposium-connect.com

The meaning of “the Papesse” in the tarot would be erudition, cerebral activity, strong personal intuition or patience. The Papesse cocktail is balanced, elegant, fruity, dry and can be consumed as an aperitif or at the end of an evening. Similar to a glass of wine with more complexity, the Papesse should be enjoyed with patience.
