Ek Balam & Mayan Cenote Ek-Balam means 'Star of the Jaguar' in Mayan and is a recently restored site as well as one of the most impressive and popular places of interest in Yucatan. Wander through the various defensive city walls and check out the Acropolis with its ancient carvings and murals. Swim in a majestic Mayan Cenote with beautiful geological formations, accessible by stairs, tunnel or rappelling.
