Towey earned her degree in SportsManagement from Pfeiffer University in 2004, where she wasalso a member of the women’s lacrosse squad. During her seniorseason she ranked first in Division II in save percentage and wasfifth in goals against average. For her efforts she was named a firstteam All-American and was honored as the Division II Goalkeeperof the Year. Towey remained at Pfeiffer after graduating andwas an assistant coach with the program for one season. In 2006she assumed an assistant coaching position at Division I NiagaraUniversity.Graduate AssistantDanielle Hawkins2nd SeasonHawkins comes to Wilkes after a four-year careerat Division I Monmouth University. She was afour-year starter for a Hawks team that madethree semifinal appearances in the North EastConference Tournament.
