Our Strategic Priorities
Auckland
– the world’s most active city
Tāmaki Makaurau – te tāone ngangahau rawa o te ao
Being physically active has
a positive effect on society,
improving the wellbeing of
people and communities and
contributing to the hauora
(health and wellbeing) of our
young people. Participation
in sport, play and active
recreation leads to healthier
bodies and minds, stronger
communities and a stronger
economy.
Our vision is for Auckland to become the
world’s most active city | Tāmaki Makaurau
– te tāone ngangahau rawa o te ao.
This is founded in our belief that
everyone has the right to an active life,
free from barriers that limit access to and
participation in sport, active recreation and
sport. To achieve this, we focus on seven
strategic priorities.
Leading the
conversation
Here at the Counties Manukau Rugby Football Union,
we see our sport as a vehicle in which we get the
opportunity to grow, empower and inspire our people.
This critical mission is shared by the team at Aktive
who are similarly driven to make a difference across the
wider Auckland community.”
