Google to turn off .co.uk search address

Google is ditching all country-specific domain names for its search home page. It means if you type www.google.co.uk into your browser bar you’ll soon be redirected to www.google.com (1 in our screenshot). These web addresses are called country code top-level domain names (ccTLD). The change will apply for all country-specific codes from www.google.co.ac for Ascension Island to www.google.co.zw for Zimbabwe.
