Baffling that Microsoft Authenticator is still on by default

As an exercise in baffling the general user, Microsoft’s decision to stop their Authenticator app storing passwords takes some beating. Instead of disabling this feature, it’s still there - and you have to switch it off yourself in the app (the ‘Set as Auto-fill provider’ option). This becomes apparent when trying to use one of the many parking apps where Authenticator pops up when trying to pay. But if you use it, it doesn’t work – just what you don’t need when trying to pay in bright sunlight....
