More riding schools lost while some are thriving

Since 2022, 84 schools have closed but there is positivity about attitude and ways to succeed

BRITAIN has lost 84 precious riding schools since 2022 – but the rate of closures has slowed, and there is praise for the resilience of those who are surviving, and thriving. The British Horse Society (BHS) found 250 schools closed from 2018 to 2022, a 15% drop leaving 1,497 (news, 9 March 2023).
