Dit is het verhaal van Sergio and Maria, broer en zus. Het verhaal wordt omgekeerd
verteld, van het volwassen zijn tot de kindertijd. In de loop van de jaren vinden beide
kinderen het spel ‘Mìkles’ uit: hun eigen overlevingstechniek om aan de mishandeling
van hun vader te weerstaan en hen tegelijkertijd te helpen om op eigen benen te staan.
This is the story of a brother and sister, Sergio and Maria, told backwards in time, from
adulthood to childhood. Through the years the two siblings invent a game that they call
“Mikles”: their very own survival technique to resist the abuse brought upon them by
their father and, at the same time, to help them to become more selfsufficient.

NATAN (Jonas Bergergard en Jonas Holmström)

Natan heeft een nieuwe job en vandaag is zijn eerste werkdag. Het uitzendbureau
heeft hem naar ‘Viggo’s hamburger’ gestuurd. Münir doet verwoede pogingen Natan de
knepen van het vak te leren, maar de man is een ware ramp. Viggo ontslaat hem, maar
zijn geweten speelt hem parten, hij neemt een hot dog en gaat Natan zoeken.
It’s Natan’s first day at his new job. The employment office has sent him to Viggo’s
hamburger joint. Münir is trying to teach him the moves, but Natan is a disaster waiting
to happen. Viggo sacks him and Natan is back on the street again. But Viggo’s conscience
comes back to haunt to him, he grabs a hot dog and goes looking for Natan.

In een machtig en duister fabriekscomplex werkt de mensheid in een steeds wederkerende
cyclus aan zijn eigen vernietiging. Samen met de held uit dit verhaal zijn we
getuige van dit meedogenloze systeem, waarin opgevers worden geëlimineerd en de
mens deel wordt gemaakt van een gigantische machine.
Inside a huge and grim factory building, human kind is working on its self-destruction
in a repetitive operating cycle. Along with the hero of the film, we witness this merciless
system, in which abnegators are eliminated and the human being is moulded into a
particle of a gigantic machinery.
