Hvorfor er det så godt å bo i <strong>Oslo</strong> Hva er det som gjør at <strong>Oslo</strong>s<br />

innbyggere er så glad i by<strong>en</strong> sin Mange sier det er fordi <strong>Oslo</strong> er så<br />

rik på vakker natur <strong>og</strong> gode rekreasjonsområder: fjord<strong>en</strong>, str<strong>en</strong>d<strong>en</strong>e,<br />

øy<strong>en</strong>e, park<strong>en</strong>e, elv<strong>en</strong>e <strong>og</strong> Marka.<br />

Natur<strong>en</strong> er kanskje <strong>Oslo</strong>s fremste varemerke. <strong>Oslo</strong> er d<strong>en</strong> blågrønne<br />

hovedstad<strong>en</strong> som har sitt særpreg i stor grad på grunn <strong>av</strong> by<strong>en</strong>s rike<br />

natur; selv Operahuset ligger ved utløpet til ett <strong>av</strong> <strong>Oslo</strong>s fremste turmål,<br />

Akerselva. Og naturrikdomm<strong>en</strong> er ikke gjemt langt inne i Marka<br />

eller ute på ei fjern øy. D<strong>en</strong> finnes i kort <strong>av</strong>stand fra der de fleste bor, i<br />

form <strong>av</strong> Marka, <strong>en</strong> grønn parklunge, <strong>en</strong> turvei eller ei rolig elv.<br />

Det er et viktig mål for <strong>Oslo</strong> <strong>kommune</strong> at <strong>Oslo</strong>s innbyggere skal ha<br />

grønne muligheter i sitt nærområde. Man skal ikke gå langt for å<br />

komme til sin park, sin turvei eller sin badestrand.<br />

En by som <strong>Oslo</strong> er imidlertid i kontinuerlig <strong>en</strong>dring, <strong>og</strong> dette stiller<br />

kr<strong>av</strong> til langsiktig t<strong>en</strong>kning <strong>og</strong> bevisste valg for at <strong>Oslo</strong> skal bevares<br />

som grønn hovedstad. I 2011 passerte <strong>Oslo</strong>s innbyggertall 600 000<br />

m<strong>en</strong>nesker. I år<strong>en</strong>e framover vil det bli <strong>en</strong>da flere, <strong>og</strong> pr<strong>og</strong>noser<br />

anslår nå nærmere 800 000 innbyggere allerede i 2030. Jo flere vi<br />

blir, jo større blir betydning<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> lokalt tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelige grøntområder.<br />

<strong>Oslo</strong> <strong>kommune</strong> har ikke bare mål om å bevare <strong>Oslo</strong> som grønn<br />

hovedstad – vi skal til <strong>og</strong> med styrke vår blågrønne struktur.<br />

Bevaring <strong>og</strong> styrking <strong>av</strong> by<strong>en</strong>s blågrønne struktur kan i no<strong>en</strong> tilfeller<br />

bety at man bestemmer at lite eller ing<strong>en</strong>ting skal gjøres. I andre<br />

tilfeller vil <strong>en</strong> aktiv utvikling <strong>og</strong> tilrettelegging være et viktig <strong>og</strong><br />

nødv<strong>en</strong>dig virkemiddel for å ta vare på eller styrke disse kvalitet<strong>en</strong>e.<br />

Bymiljøetat<strong>en</strong>s arbeidsområde er alt dette grønne som gjør <strong>Oslo</strong> til<br />

<strong>en</strong> så fin by å leve i <strong>og</strong> besøke. I d<strong>en</strong>ne brosjyr<strong>en</strong> pres<strong>en</strong>terer vi et<br />

bredt spekter <strong>av</strong> grønne investeringer – investeringsprosjekter som<br />

<strong>Oslo</strong> <strong>kommune</strong> de s<strong>en</strong>ere år<strong>en</strong>e har gj<strong>en</strong>nomført som ledd i dette<br />

langsiktige arbeidet med å bevare <strong>og</strong> styrke <strong>Oslo</strong>s blågrønne struktur.<br />

Med unntak <strong>av</strong> Fr<strong>og</strong>nerborg<strong>en</strong> er alle investeringsprosjekt<strong>en</strong>e fra<br />

2007–2011.<br />

Vi har kalt brosjyr<strong>en</strong> FRI. Vårt arbeid handler nettopp om<br />

friluftsliv, <strong>fritid</strong> <strong>og</strong> friområder.<br />

Why is <strong>Oslo</strong> such a good place to live What is it about <strong>Oslo</strong> that makes<br />

its inhabitants so fond of their city Many say it is the abundant and<br />

beautiful sc<strong>en</strong>ery and good recreational areas: the city’s fjord, beaches,<br />

islands, parks, rivers and forest.<br />

<strong>Oslo</strong>’s landscape is perhaps its best-known trademark. <strong>Oslo</strong> is the bluegre<strong>en</strong><br />

capital whose character is he<strong>av</strong>ily shaped by the city’s abundant<br />

natural <strong>en</strong>vironm<strong>en</strong>t. Ev<strong>en</strong> the Opera House lies at the <strong>en</strong>d of one of<br />

<strong>Oslo</strong>’s most popular destinations for trail users, the Aker River. And this<br />

abundance is not hidd<strong>en</strong> away deep inside the forest or on some distant<br />

island. It can be found just a short distance from where most people live<br />

in the shape of a forest, a gre<strong>en</strong> park, a gre<strong>en</strong>way or a tranquil river.<br />

One of the important objectives for the City of <strong>Oslo</strong> is that the city’s<br />

inhabitants should h<strong>av</strong>e gre<strong>en</strong> opportunities in their local communities.<br />

They should not h<strong>av</strong>e far to go to their local park, gre<strong>en</strong>way or beach.<br />

A city like <strong>Oslo</strong> is constantly changing, however, and this requires us to<br />

think in the long term and to make informed decisions to <strong>en</strong>sure that<br />

<strong>Oslo</strong> is preserved as a gre<strong>en</strong> capital. In 2011 <strong>Oslo</strong>’s population rose to<br />

over 600,000. It will continue to rise in the years to come, and curr<strong>en</strong>t<br />

pr<strong>og</strong>noses estimate that there will be around 800,000 inhabitants by<br />

2030. The bigger the population, the greater the need will be for locally<br />

accessible gre<strong>en</strong> spaces.<br />

The City of <strong>Oslo</strong> not only wants to preserve <strong>Oslo</strong> as a gre<strong>en</strong> capital –<br />

we also want to str<strong>en</strong>gth<strong>en</strong> its blue-gre<strong>en</strong> structure. Preserving and<br />

str<strong>en</strong>gth<strong>en</strong>ing the city’s blue-gre<strong>en</strong> structure may in some cases mean<br />

deciding to do very little or ev<strong>en</strong> nothing at all. In other cases active<br />

developm<strong>en</strong>t and alteration work will be an important and necessary<br />

means of safeguarding or str<strong>en</strong>gth<strong>en</strong>ing these qualities.<br />

The Ag<strong>en</strong>cy for Urban Environm<strong>en</strong>t’s area of responsibility is all this<br />

gre<strong>en</strong>ery that makes <strong>Oslo</strong> such a good city to live in and visit. In this<br />

brochure we pres<strong>en</strong>t a broad spectrum of gre<strong>en</strong> investm<strong>en</strong>ts; investm<strong>en</strong>t<br />

projects which the City of <strong>Oslo</strong> has undertak<strong>en</strong> in rec<strong>en</strong>t years as part of<br />

this long-term work on preserving and str<strong>en</strong>gth<strong>en</strong>ing <strong>Oslo</strong>’s blue-gre<strong>en</strong><br />

structure. With the exception of Fr<strong>og</strong>ner Castle, all the projects were<br />

completed betwe<strong>en</strong> 2007 and 2011.<br />

Parker<br />

Vi kaller gjerne et grøntområde for ”park” når et areal er planlagt,<br />

opparbeidet <strong>og</strong>/eller skjøttet for å kunne tilfredsstille våre<br />

rekreasjonsbehov. Park<strong>en</strong>e er by<strong>en</strong>s lunger. De er pusterom i<br />

hverdag<strong>en</strong> til glede <strong>og</strong> <strong>av</strong>kobling – som <strong>en</strong> stor kontrast til storby<strong>en</strong>s<br />

tr<strong>av</strong>le <strong>og</strong> stress<strong>en</strong>de virkelighet. Det er et mål at alle bør ha tilgang<br />

til forskjellige typer parker i relativ nær <strong>av</strong>stand fra bolig<strong>en</strong>.<br />

<strong>Oslo</strong>s parker uttrykker seg på mange vis: fra de store <strong>og</strong> kj<strong>en</strong>te,<br />

som Fr<strong>og</strong>nerpark<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> St. Hanshaug<strong>en</strong>, til alle de mindre, m<strong>en</strong> like<br />

viktige, små lung<strong>en</strong>e som fordeler seg rundt om i by<strong>en</strong>. Park<strong>en</strong>e er til<br />

fri bruk <strong>og</strong> glede for by<strong>en</strong>s befolkning <strong>og</strong> alle som kommer på besøk.<br />

Park<strong>en</strong>e er sj<strong>en</strong>erøse <strong>og</strong> døgnåpne. Du tr<strong>en</strong>ger ikke nøkkel for å<br />

komme inn. Park<strong>en</strong>e er like mye dine <strong>og</strong> mine. De er våre friområder.<br />

Her pres<strong>en</strong>terer vi no<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> park<strong>en</strong>e vi har bygd eller rehabilitert de<br />

siste år<strong>en</strong>e. Sp<strong>en</strong>net er stort. Du finner parker der fysisk utfoldelse<br />

står i s<strong>en</strong>trum, som Elgsletta aktivitetspark, til Bryns<strong>en</strong>gfaret park<br />

ved Alna, der du heller lar ro<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> sjelefred<strong>en</strong> s<strong>en</strong>ke seg.<br />

Parks<br />

Wh<strong>en</strong> an area is planned, developed and/or t<strong>en</strong>ded in order<br />

to satisfy our recreational needs, we oft<strong>en</strong> refer to such gre<strong>en</strong><br />

spaces as parks. Parks function as the lungs of a city; they serve<br />

as breathing spaces for pleasure and relaxation in our everyday<br />

lives and provide a contrast to the hustle and bustle of urban<br />

life. Our aim is that everyone should h<strong>av</strong>e access to differ<strong>en</strong>t<br />

types of parks in relative proximity to their home.<br />

<strong>Oslo</strong>’s parks h<strong>av</strong>e many differ<strong>en</strong>t appearances: from the big<br />

and famous, such as Fr<strong>og</strong>ner Park and St. Hanshaug<strong>en</strong>, to the<br />

smaller – but equally important – small gre<strong>en</strong> lungs that are<br />

dotted around the city. The parks can be used and <strong>en</strong>joyed<br />

by all of the city’s inhabitants as well as visitors. They are<br />

hospitable and are op<strong>en</strong> both day and night. You don’t need a<br />

key to get in. Parks are for everyone. They are mine and yours –<br />

we are free to use them as much as we want.<br />

Pres<strong>en</strong>ted here are some of the parks we h<strong>av</strong>e either built or<br />

rehabilitated during the past few years. They cover a broad<br />

spectrum: from parks where physical activity is in focus, such<br />

as Elgsletta Activity Park, to Bryns<strong>en</strong>gfaret Park at Alna, where<br />

peace and tranquillity can be sought and found.<br />

Service and toilet facilities, Fr<strong>og</strong>ner Park<br />

The toilet and kiosk facilities in what is <strong>Oslo</strong>’s best-known park, Fr<strong>og</strong>ner Park,<br />

had become uninviting. New buildings were erected, consisting of a new kiosk,<br />

three ordinary toilets and one wheelchair-accessible toilet. Because they are<br />

automated self-cleaning toilets, they are always clean. The building itself<br />

bl<strong>en</strong>ds in well with its surroundings, using elem<strong>en</strong>ts from the rest of the park’s<br />

architecture. This can be se<strong>en</strong> in the way in which the surface of the service<br />

and toilet building was sanded to resemble the appearance of granite, one of<br />

the main materials used elsewhere in the park. The pattern of the windows<br />

is picked up in the geometrical pattern in Gust<strong>av</strong> Vigeland’s labyrinth of<br />

flagstones surrounding the main fountain in the c<strong>en</strong>tre of Vigeland Park. The<br />

project goes to show that toilets can also be beautiful buildings; indeed, it was<br />

nominated for the <strong>Oslo</strong> City Architecture Award 2010.<br />

Ved Hundejordet, nord i Fr<strong>og</strong>nerpark<strong>en</strong>, sto det et toalett <strong>og</strong> <strong>en</strong><br />

kiosk som var både nedslitt <strong>og</strong> lite innbyd<strong>en</strong>de. Et nytt service- <strong>og</strong><br />

toalettbygg var etterspurt hos de mange besøk<strong>en</strong>de i park<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Det gamle bygget ble revet, <strong>og</strong> et nytt bygg er blitt oppført med ny<br />

kiosk, tre ordinære toaletter <strong>og</strong> ett toalett tilpasset rullestolbrukere.<br />

I tilknytning til kiosk<strong>en</strong> er det bygd <strong>en</strong> oppholdsplass hvor man kan<br />

sitte i ly for sol <strong>og</strong> regn. Det gamle toalettet var kun sommeråp<strong>en</strong>t,<br />

m<strong>en</strong>s det nye service- <strong>og</strong> toalettbygget tilbyr toaletter for helårsbruk.<br />

Toalett<strong>en</strong>e er alltid r<strong>en</strong>e fordi de har automatisk r<strong>en</strong>gjøring mellom<br />

hver bruker.<br />

Selve bygning<strong>en</strong> glir vakkert inn i omgivels<strong>en</strong>e <strong>og</strong> bruker elem<strong>en</strong>ter<br />

fra park<strong>en</strong>s øvrige arkitektur. Dette kan vi se i hvordan service- <strong>og</strong><br />

toalettbyggets overflater er slipt for at de skal få et utse<strong>en</strong>de som<br />

ligner på granitt, som er Vigelandspark<strong>en</strong>s hovedmateriale. I tillegg<br />

tar vindu<strong>en</strong>es mønster (gj<strong>en</strong>gitt som silketrykk under glassplat<strong>en</strong>e)<br />

opp igj<strong>en</strong> det geometriske mønsteret i labyrint<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> Gust<strong>av</strong><br />

Vigeland, dvs. steindekket som omgir hovedfont<strong>en</strong><strong>en</strong> s<strong>en</strong>tralt i<br />

Vigelandsanlegget.<br />

Det nye service- <strong>og</strong> toalettbygget i Fr<strong>og</strong>nerpark<strong>en</strong> viser at <strong>og</strong>så<br />

toaletter kan være praktbygg. Så ble da <strong>og</strong>så bygget nominert til<br />

<strong>Oslo</strong> bys arkitekturpris i 2010.<br />

Svarttjern Park<br />

Svarttjern is a natural lake that runs betwe<strong>en</strong> the apartm<strong>en</strong>t blocks in Romsås,<br />

not far from the urban-rural boundary. Over time the area surrounding the lake<br />

and the bathing water quality deteriorated, and ext<strong>en</strong>sive rehabilitation work<br />

was necessary. The goal was to create a park around the lake. The result is a<br />

park that holds a diversity of installations.<br />

The surrounding area was upgraded with gre<strong>en</strong> spaces, tables and b<strong>en</strong>ches,<br />

bicycle racks, waste containers, perman<strong>en</strong>t barbecue facilities and toilets. A<br />

playground and a boccia court were also installed. Bathing <strong>en</strong>thusiasts now<br />

h<strong>av</strong>e two sandy beaches, several wood<strong>en</strong> jetties and a wheelchair-accessible<br />

bathing ramp. Universal design was adopted as the basis for the design of<br />

the park. Svarttjern Park was one of the 28 sites nominated for the <strong>Oslo</strong> City<br />

Architecture Award 2010.<br />

Svarttjern er et naturlig tjern som ligger innimellom blokk<strong>en</strong>e på<br />

Romsås, ikke langt fra markagr<strong>en</strong>sa. Området ved Svarttjern har<br />

l<strong>en</strong>ge vært et viktig grøntområde <strong>og</strong> <strong>en</strong> populær badeplass for<br />

befolkning<strong>en</strong> på Romsås. Etter hvert forfalt både vannkvalitet<strong>en</strong><br />

i det populære badevannet <strong>og</strong> området rundt. En omfatt<strong>en</strong>de<br />

rehabilitering var nødv<strong>en</strong>dig.<br />

Målet var å lage <strong>en</strong> park i tilknytning til tjernet, <strong>og</strong> i 2009 åpnet<br />

Svarttjernpark<strong>en</strong>. D<strong>en</strong> nye park<strong>en</strong> er blitt et mangfoldig anlegg.<br />

Området rundt er rustet opp med grøntarealer, bord <strong>og</strong> b<strong>en</strong>ker,<br />

sykkelstativer, <strong>av</strong>fallsbeholdere, fastgriller <strong>og</strong> toaletter. Det er<br />

<strong>og</strong>så bygd <strong>en</strong> lekeplass <strong>og</strong> boccabane. For de bad<strong>en</strong>de er det<br />

laget to sandstr<strong>en</strong>der, flere trebrygger <strong>og</strong> <strong>en</strong> baderampe hvor<br />

rullestolbrukere kan trille ut i vannet. Universell utforming er lagt til<br />

grunn for utforming<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> park<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Det kanskje aller viktigste tiltaket for folk flest er bedring<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong><br />

badevannskvalitet<strong>en</strong>. Ved blant annet å tilføre drikkevann til tjernet<br />

har man bedret badevannskvalitet<strong>en</strong>. Det er ing<strong>en</strong> andre parker<br />

eller badevann i byggeson<strong>en</strong> på Romsås, så Svarttjernområdet er <strong>en</strong><br />

viktig blågrønn møteplass for lokalbefolkning<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Svarttjernpark<strong>en</strong> var <strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> 28 nominerte kandidater til <strong>Oslo</strong> bys<br />

arkitekturpris 2010.<br />

Bryns<strong>en</strong>gfaret Park<br />

Bryns<strong>en</strong>gfaret 2 was formerly a car park that had become polluted with waste<br />

and junk. The site of the car park was very c<strong>en</strong>trally located, running along<br />

Gre<strong>en</strong>way D10 on a hilltop directly above the Alna River. Today the cars are gone,<br />

the pollution removed and some of the vegetation cleared. The new park consists<br />

of a gr<strong>av</strong>elled op<strong>en</strong> space with seating areas. A gr<strong>av</strong>el path leads into the park<br />

and <strong>en</strong>ds in a spiral shape along which a curved b<strong>en</strong>ch follows the contour of the<br />

path. To the west is an observation point where a two-metre-high grass-covered<br />

mound is constructed. An oak tree was planted, which in time will provide gre<strong>en</strong><br />

shade for the seating area with the table. We h<strong>av</strong>e created a secluded, cosy spot<br />

where one can sit down and <strong>en</strong>joy the sunshine, the view and the rushing sound<br />

of the Alna River.<br />

Tidligere var Bryns<strong>en</strong>gfaret 2 <strong>en</strong> forur<strong>en</strong>set parkeringsplass hvor<br />

det lå mye <strong>av</strong>fall <strong>og</strong> skrot. P-plass<strong>en</strong> lå svært s<strong>en</strong>tralt til fordi d<strong>en</strong><br />

lå langs turvei<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> på <strong>en</strong> bakketopp rett over Alna. P-plass<strong>en</strong><br />

ble derfor regulert til friområde i 2003. I dag er bil<strong>en</strong>e borte,<br />

forur<strong>en</strong>sning<strong>en</strong> fjernet <strong>og</strong> vegetasjon<strong>en</strong> ryddet. Resultatet er blitt <strong>en</strong><br />

lit<strong>en</strong> parkperle med utsikt over Alna.<br />

Park<strong>en</strong> består <strong>av</strong> <strong>en</strong> romslig grusplass med flere sitteplasser, hvor<br />

det <strong>og</strong>så er belysning. Her er det plantet et eiketre, som med tid<strong>en</strong> vil<br />

skape et grønt tak til sitteplass<strong>en</strong>e. Park<strong>en</strong> har <strong>en</strong> spesiell form – <strong>en</strong><br />

grusvei leder inn i park<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> <strong>en</strong>der opp i <strong>en</strong> «spiralplass», hvor det<br />

står <strong>en</strong> buet b<strong>en</strong>k som følger linj<strong>en</strong>e til grusvei<strong>en</strong>. Ned<strong>en</strong>for bruser<br />

Alna viltert. I vest står et utsiktspunkt hvor det er laget <strong>en</strong> gresskledd<br />

høyde på to meter. I tillegg er det h<strong>og</strong>d ut <strong>en</strong> siktsone i vegetasjon<strong>en</strong><br />

her, slik at man kan se et stykke nedstrøms i Alna.<br />

Vi har skapt <strong>en</strong> lun <strong>og</strong> intim lit<strong>en</strong> plass, hvor man kan sette seg ned,<br />

nyte sol <strong>og</strong> utsikt <strong>og</strong> høre elvebruset fra Alna.<br />

Elgsletta Activity Park<br />

Elgsletta Activity Park is part of the Aker River Park. The project is one of five<br />

planned activity parks that will be built along the lower <strong>en</strong>d of the Aker River<br />

to combat drug-dealing and other criminal activities along the Aker River. The<br />

park mainly comprises two sand volleyball courts and perman<strong>en</strong>t barbecue<br />

facilities. The sand volleyball courts are op<strong>en</strong> to everyone and is the first of their<br />

kind installed by the Ag<strong>en</strong>cy for Urban Environm<strong>en</strong>t in <strong>Oslo</strong>’s inner city district.<br />

The soil mass that was dug up in order to make the courts was polluted, which<br />

meant that reuse elsewhere was prohibited. In order to reduce the <strong>en</strong>vironm<strong>en</strong>tal<br />

impact we decided to use the polluted soil to build embankm<strong>en</strong>ts along the side<br />

of the road. The embankm<strong>en</strong>ts serve as noise barriers and scre<strong>en</strong> off the view<br />

of the road. In the EU’s State and Outlook 2010 report regarding noise, <strong>Oslo</strong> is<br />

highlighted as an example of how cities can protect their inhabitants against<br />

noise pollution, and Elgsletta Activity Park is giv<strong>en</strong> a particular m<strong>en</strong>tion due to<br />

the noise-shielding embankm<strong>en</strong>t.<br />

I 2009 åpnet Elgsletta aktivitetspark, som del <strong>av</strong> Akerselva miljøpark.<br />

Prosjektet er <strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> fem planlagte aktivitetsparker langs nedre del <strong>av</strong><br />

Akerselva som skal gj<strong>en</strong>nomføres for å bekjempe narkotikasalg <strong>og</strong><br />

kriminalitet langs Akerselva.<br />

Park<strong>en</strong> består <strong>av</strong> to sandvolleyballbaner, terr<strong>en</strong>gmur (sittekant),<br />

gresskledde skråninger, blomstr<strong>en</strong>de trær <strong>og</strong> stauder, fastgrill<br />

<strong>og</strong> terr<strong>en</strong>gvoller ut mot d<strong>en</strong> trafikkerte Nylandsvei<strong>en</strong>. Ban<strong>en</strong>e for<br />

sandvolleyball er de første Bymiljøetat<strong>en</strong> har anlagt i <strong>Oslo</strong> indre by.<br />

Mass<strong>en</strong>e vi gr<strong>av</strong>de ut for å anlegge sandvolleyballban<strong>en</strong>e, var<br />

forur<strong>en</strong>set, noe som betyr at gj<strong>en</strong>bruk <strong>av</strong> mass<strong>en</strong>e ikke tillates andre<br />

steder. For å slippe miljøforur<strong>en</strong>sning – <strong>og</strong> spare kostnader – ved<br />

levering <strong>av</strong> mass<strong>en</strong>e til deponi, brukte vi d<strong>en</strong> forur<strong>en</strong>sede jorda på<br />

stedet som terr<strong>en</strong>gvoller langs vei<strong>en</strong>. Voll<strong>en</strong>e fungerer både som<br />

støyskjerm <strong>og</strong> som visuell skjerm mot bilvei<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Sandvolleyballban<strong>en</strong>e er et nærmiljøanlegg, slik at ban<strong>en</strong>e er<br />

åpne for alle. Kommun<strong>en</strong> har inngått et samarbeid med <strong>Oslo</strong><br />

sandvolleyballklubb om bruk<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> ban<strong>en</strong>e. I EU-rapport<strong>en</strong><br />

Miljøstatus i Europa 2010 om støy trekkes <strong>Oslo</strong> fram som eksempel<br />

på hvordan byer kan beskytte innbyggerne mot støy, <strong>og</strong> her er<br />

Elgsletta aktivitetspark spesifikt nevnt på grunn <strong>av</strong> tiltaket med d<strong>en</strong><br />

støybeskytt<strong>en</strong>de terr<strong>en</strong>gvoll<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Furuset Cultural Park<br />

Furuset Cultural Park stands on historical ground next to Furuset Church. A<br />

medieval church is supposed to h<strong>av</strong>e once stood there. Furuset Church has be<strong>en</strong><br />

incorporated into the park grounds. P<strong>av</strong>ing marks a path from the <strong>en</strong>trance to<br />

the church down to the pond, which repres<strong>en</strong>ts the very heart of the park. An old<br />

farm pond was restored and now serves as a picnic area, with tables, b<strong>en</strong>ches, a<br />

barbecue area and a water pump. A storehouse once stood on the highest point<br />

in the park; an observation tower has now be<strong>en</strong> built there, providing a nice view<br />

of the northern part of the Grorud Valley. Wh<strong>en</strong> it is dark, light is emitted through<br />

the numerous holes in the tower’s facade panels. In front of the tower the trunk<br />

of an old elm tree serves as a play area for childr<strong>en</strong>. Shrubbery was planted here<br />

with paths that form ‘secret’ trails and hiding places. Another reason why the<br />

park has become a popular destination is the fact that sheep or goats come here<br />

to graze during the summer months.<br />

Furuset kulturpark er anlagt på historisk grunn ved Furuset kirke.<br />

Her lå det antakelig <strong>en</strong> kirke i middelalder<strong>en</strong>. Gj<strong>en</strong>nom park<strong>en</strong><br />

går Oldtidsvei<strong>en</strong>, hvor pilegrimer i middelalder<strong>en</strong> vandret til Ol<strong>av</strong><br />

d<strong>en</strong> helliges gr<strong>av</strong> i Nidaros. Vei<strong>en</strong> pilegrim<strong>en</strong>e fulgte, går langs<br />

Ulsholtvei<strong>en</strong>, langs park<strong>en</strong>s østre gr<strong>en</strong>se, <strong>og</strong> dette er <strong>og</strong>så del <strong>av</strong><br />

turvei D9. Her er d<strong>en</strong> gamle bjørkeallé<strong>en</strong> supplert med mange nye<br />

trær. Furuset kirke er innlemmet i park<strong>en</strong>. Området foran kirk<strong>en</strong><br />

fungerte som parkeringsplass. Parkering<strong>en</strong> er fjernet til fordel<br />

for et dekke <strong>av</strong> granitt, <strong>og</strong> bøkehekker er plantet for å skjerme<br />

<strong>av</strong>fallsbeholderne som står der. Ved kirk<strong>en</strong> er det anlagt <strong>en</strong> HCparkeringsplass.<br />

Et steindekke markerer <strong>en</strong> sti fra kirk<strong>en</strong>s inngang<br />

<strong>og</strong> ned til damm<strong>en</strong> – selve hjertet i park<strong>en</strong>. Det som trolig var<br />

gårdsdam under Nedre Furuset gård, er nå restaurert <strong>og</strong> fungerer<br />

som piknikområde. Det er <strong>og</strong>så opparbeidet <strong>en</strong> turvei med belysning<br />

gj<strong>en</strong>nom park<strong>en</strong> – d<strong>en</strong>ne turvei<strong>en</strong> binder samm<strong>en</strong> turvei D9 med<br />

turvei D10 (Alnasti<strong>en</strong>).<br />

Fra gammelt <strong>av</strong> sto det et stabbur på park<strong>en</strong>s høyeste punkt. Her er<br />

det bygd et utsiktstårn med flott utsikt mot d<strong>en</strong> nordlige del<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong><br />

Groruddal<strong>en</strong>. Når det er mørkt, slippes det ut lys gj<strong>en</strong>nom de mange<br />

hull<strong>en</strong>e i fasadeplat<strong>en</strong>e på utsiktstårnet. Foran utsiktstårnet ligger<br />

<strong>en</strong> gammel almestamme som gir barna rom for lek. I d<strong>en</strong>ne del<strong>en</strong><br />

<strong>av</strong> park<strong>en</strong> er det <strong>og</strong>så laget gjemselskratt med stier som danner<br />

hemmelige ganger <strong>og</strong> rom. Ikke minst er park<strong>en</strong> blitt et turmål på<br />

grunn <strong>av</strong> sau<strong>en</strong>e eller geit<strong>en</strong>e som beiter her om sommer<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Kamp<strong>en</strong>trappa<br />

Kamp<strong>en</strong>trappa<br />

Kamp<strong>en</strong>trappa is a set of steps that was built after Kamp<strong>en</strong> Park was created<br />

in the 1880s. The steps serve as a popular shortcut and footpath betwe<strong>en</strong><br />

Kamp<strong>en</strong> and Tøy<strong>en</strong>. Due to weathering and leaching of the hard rock, the steps<br />

had long be<strong>en</strong> closed to the public. We had to rehabilitate these preservationworthy<br />

steps in a way that took the cultural-historical aspects into consideration,<br />

and the project was carried out in consultation with the Cultural Heritage<br />

Managem<strong>en</strong>t Office. The first phase involved undertaking a geol<strong>og</strong>ical survey.<br />

The steps were first dismantled and a new foundation was laid. The new<br />

supporting structure consisted of an inclined, reinforced concrete slab. To keep<br />

as much of the original steps as possible, we repaired the damaged steps by<br />

inserting pieces tak<strong>en</strong> from others. This meant that we only needed sev<strong>en</strong> new<br />

steps. The step railing is a reconstruction of the original cast iron railing. As with<br />

the original steps, a seat b<strong>en</strong>ch has be<strong>en</strong> installed at the halfway point.<br />

The original lighting has be<strong>en</strong> replaced with street lamps known as “<strong>Oslo</strong>lykter”,<br />

which are also found in the rest of the park.<br />

Kamp<strong>en</strong>trappa ble bygd etter at Kamp<strong>en</strong> park ble anlagt i<br />

1880-år<strong>en</strong>e. Trappa er <strong>en</strong> mye brukt snar- <strong>og</strong> gangvei mellom<br />

Kamp<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> Tøy<strong>en</strong>. På grunn <strong>av</strong> forvitring <strong>og</strong> utvasking <strong>av</strong><br />

berggrunn<strong>en</strong> var trappa l<strong>en</strong>ge st<strong>en</strong>gt for ferdsel, <strong>og</strong> det var et sterkt<br />

ønske fra beboere i området om å få satt i stand trappa. Vår oppg<strong>av</strong>e<br />

var å rehabilitere d<strong>en</strong> bevaringsverdige trappa på <strong>en</strong> måte som<br />

ivaretok kulturhistoriske h<strong>en</strong>syn, <strong>og</strong> rehabilitering ble gjort i samråd<br />

med Byantikvar<strong>en</strong>. Første steg var å utføre <strong>en</strong> geol<strong>og</strong>isk kartlegging.<br />

D<strong>en</strong> største utfordring<strong>en</strong> besto i å velge metoder som garanterer <strong>en</strong><br />

holdbar <strong>og</strong> tilfredsstill<strong>en</strong>de rekonstruksjon.<br />

Trappa ble først demontert <strong>og</strong> nytt fundam<strong>en</strong>t støpt. D<strong>en</strong> nye<br />

bærekonstruksjon<strong>en</strong> består <strong>av</strong> <strong>en</strong> skrå, armert betongplate. Ny<br />

vannr<strong>en</strong>ne ble lagt høyere <strong>en</strong>n d<strong>en</strong> opprinnelige <strong>og</strong> skal lede vannet<br />

fra fjellsid<strong>en</strong> inn i et nytt sluk plassert på nedsid<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> trappa. Skader<br />

på trappa viste seg som skjeve <strong>og</strong> delvis løse trinn. For å beholde<br />

så mye som mulig <strong>av</strong> d<strong>en</strong> opprinnelige trappa reparerte vi skadete<br />

trinn ved innskjøting <strong>av</strong> biter fra andre trinn. På d<strong>en</strong> måt<strong>en</strong> ble<br />

det behov for kun sju nye trinn – disse har <strong>en</strong> noe lysere farge <strong>en</strong>n<br />

de opprinnelige. Rekkverket i trappa er <strong>en</strong> rekonstruksjon <strong>av</strong> det<br />

opprinnelige støpejernsrekkverket. I d<strong>en</strong> nyrehabiliterte trappa –<br />

som i d<strong>en</strong> gamle – er det satt opp <strong>en</strong> b<strong>en</strong>k midtveis der folk kan ta<br />

seg <strong>en</strong> hvil på vei<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> nyte utsikt<strong>en</strong>. D<strong>en</strong> opprinnelige belysning<strong>en</strong> i<br />

trappa er erstattet med ”<strong>Oslo</strong>lykter”, som i park<strong>en</strong> for øvrig.<br />

Årvoll Pond<br />

A number of measures were tak<strong>en</strong> to make the area around Årvoll Pond more<br />

pleasant and user-fri<strong>en</strong>dly. A new perman<strong>en</strong>t barbecue area was installed, from<br />

which a good view of the pond itself can be <strong>en</strong>joyed. The barbecue area was also<br />

furnished with a table and two new b<strong>en</strong>ches, one of which is specially adapted<br />

for wheelchair users. In time, three newly-planted cherry trees will provide shade<br />

from the sun. More trees were planted around the rest of the park. We focused on<br />

planting differ<strong>en</strong>t varieties of trees to provide variation in colour and shape.<br />

New asphalt was laid on the footpaths, more b<strong>en</strong>ches were installed around the<br />

pond itself, and the former shower area was replaced with new and universal<br />

design shower facilities. We h<strong>av</strong>e also tried out a new produce called EverEdge,<br />

a steel gard<strong>en</strong> edging solution that was installed around the flower bed to keep<br />

weeds at bay. This solution is curr<strong>en</strong>tly being tested to see whether it is suitable<br />

for public parks.<br />

Området ved Årvolldamm<strong>en</strong> var preget <strong>av</strong> mangl<strong>en</strong>de vedlikehold<br />

over tid, <strong>og</strong> da <strong>en</strong> oppgradering ble mulig, var det to stud<strong>en</strong>ter fra<br />

Universitetet for miljø- <strong>og</strong> biovit<strong>en</strong>skap som fikk i sommerjobb å lage<br />

<strong>en</strong> beskrivelse <strong>av</strong> rehabilitering<strong>en</strong>. Arbeidet resulterte i <strong>en</strong> rekke nye<br />

fasiliteter for å gjøre området hyggeligere <strong>og</strong> mer brukerv<strong>en</strong>nlig.<br />

En viktig del <strong>av</strong> oppgradering<strong>en</strong> er ny grillplass med fastgrill. Fra<br />

grillplass<strong>en</strong> er det fin utsikt til selve damm<strong>en</strong>. Ved grillplass<strong>en</strong> er det<br />

plassert bord <strong>og</strong> to nye b<strong>en</strong>ker, d<strong>en</strong> <strong>en</strong>e tilpasset rullestolbrukere.<br />

Etter hvert kan man sitte under vakre kirsebærtrær, for tre nye<br />

kirsebærtrær er plantet ved grillplass<strong>en</strong>. Enda flere trær er plantet i<br />

rest<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> park<strong>en</strong>. Vi har fokusert på å plante trær <strong>av</strong> ulike arter, slik<br />

at park<strong>en</strong> kan ha <strong>en</strong> variasjon i farge <strong>og</strong> form. Det er <strong>og</strong>så bevisst<br />

valgt trær som ikke fremmer allergi <strong>og</strong> ikke gir så mye dryss ned i<br />

badevannet som dag<strong>en</strong>s pilarter gir.<br />

Ny asfalt er lagt på gangvei<strong>en</strong>e, <strong>og</strong> flere b<strong>en</strong>ker er utplassert<br />

rundt selve damm<strong>en</strong>. De eksister<strong>en</strong>de fasilitet<strong>en</strong>e er byttet ut<br />

med nye; blant annet er det gamle dusjhjørnet erstattet med <strong>en</strong><br />

ny <strong>og</strong> universelt tilrettelagt dusj. Vi prøver <strong>og</strong>så ut et produkt kalt<br />

EverEdge, dvs. <strong>en</strong> stålkant plassert rundt blomsterbedet som skal<br />

hindre at uønsket vegetasjon vandrer inn i bedet. Dette er under<br />

utprøving for å se om produktet egner seg i off<strong>en</strong>tlige anlegg.<br />

Tveita Park<br />

Tveita Park is situated betwe<strong>en</strong> three apartm<strong>en</strong>t blocks in Tveita. What was once<br />

a run-down area with large expanses of asphalt has be<strong>en</strong> transformed into a<br />

gre<strong>en</strong> play area and an important space for childr<strong>en</strong> in the local area.<br />

First, the barbecue area was upgraded. Th<strong>en</strong> the concrete flagstones were<br />

removed and re-laid after the underlay was replaced. A new barbecue, tables,<br />

rose beds and b<strong>en</strong>ches were installed. Old asphalt and an old water pool were<br />

removed and replaced by new lawns, seating areas and plantation. A new play<br />

area was also part of the project. The childr<strong>en</strong> h<strong>av</strong>e be<strong>en</strong> provided with new<br />

playground equipm<strong>en</strong>t such as a climbing tower, carousel and slides. The<br />

play area has be<strong>en</strong> designed specifically for childr<strong>en</strong> from the age of five and<br />

upwards; several day care c<strong>en</strong>tres nearby h<strong>av</strong>e play equipm<strong>en</strong>t that caters for<br />

younger childr<strong>en</strong>. This ‘facelift’ has transformed Tveita Park into a gre<strong>en</strong> meeting<br />

point for everyone, and looks almost like a completely new park.<br />

Mellom tre borettslag på Tveita ligger d<strong>en</strong> noe gjemte Tveitapark<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Fra å være et slitt område med store asfaltflater er Tveitapark<strong>en</strong> blitt<br />

<strong>en</strong> grønn leke- <strong>og</strong> boltreplass <strong>og</strong> et viktig tilbud for barn i nærmiljøet.<br />

Arbeidet ble utført i to etapper. Først ble grillplass<strong>en</strong> oppgradert.<br />

Betonghell<strong>en</strong>e ble tatt opp <strong>og</strong> lagt på nytt etter <strong>en</strong> utskifting<br />

<strong>av</strong> underlaget. Plass<strong>en</strong> fikk <strong>en</strong> ny grill, nye bord, rosebed <strong>og</strong><br />

b<strong>en</strong>ker. Høst<strong>en</strong> 2010 sto lekeområdet for tur. Gammel asfalt <strong>og</strong> et<br />

vannbass<strong>en</strong>g ble fjernet til fordel for ny pl<strong>en</strong>, nye sitteplasser <strong>og</strong><br />

beplantning. Ikke minst har barna fått nye lekeapparater <strong>og</strong> kan<br />

boltre seg med klatretårn, karusell, sklie <strong>og</strong> andre nye apparater.<br />

Lekeplass<strong>en</strong> er beregnet for barn fra fem år <strong>og</strong> oppover. Lekeplass<strong>en</strong><br />

er ikke tilpasset veldig små barn sid<strong>en</strong> det er flere barnehager i<br />

området med lekeutstyr som passer de aller minste.<br />

Ansiktsløfting<strong>en</strong> har gjort Tveitapark<strong>en</strong> til <strong>en</strong> grønn <strong>og</strong> uformell<br />

møteplass for alle – <strong>og</strong> d<strong>en</strong> framstår nærmest som <strong>en</strong> ny park.<br />

Tree planting in St Hanshaug<strong>en</strong> Park<br />

Of all the parks in <strong>Oslo</strong>, St Hanshaug<strong>en</strong> is the one with the widest variety of<br />

tree species, many of them betwe<strong>en</strong> 100 and 150 years old. We h<strong>av</strong>e therefore<br />

developed a planting plan so that the park’s lush tree vegetation can be<br />

maintained. The plan is based on an assessm<strong>en</strong>t of the state of the trees. One<br />

of the first things that had to be done was to fell 24 of the trees that were in<br />

the worst condition and to trim another 30 or so. At the same time we planted<br />

many new trees of differ<strong>en</strong>t species, such as red chestnut and Japanese<br />

cherry. The best time for planting trees is in the spring, to give the trees a full<br />

growing season and thereby the best chance of surviving. Because of the risk of<br />

vandalism, etc. the trees that are planted must be of a certain size, so we usually<br />

plant trees with a stem circumfer<strong>en</strong>ce of betwe<strong>en</strong> 18 and 30 c<strong>en</strong>timetres. Once<br />

the trees are planted, they must be carefully t<strong>en</strong>ded during the first three years<br />

until they are well established.<br />

St. Hanshaug<strong>en</strong> er d<strong>en</strong> park<strong>en</strong> i <strong>Oslo</strong> som har flest treslag, <strong>og</strong><br />

mange <strong>av</strong> trærne er cirka 100 til 150 år. Bymiljøetat<strong>en</strong> utarbeidet<br />

derfor høst<strong>en</strong> 2009 <strong>en</strong> beplantningsplan for trærne i park<strong>en</strong> på St.<br />

Hanshaug<strong>en</strong>, slik at park<strong>en</strong>s frodige <strong>og</strong> mangfoldige trevegetasjon<br />

kan opprettholdes.<br />

Beplantningsplan<strong>en</strong> bygger på <strong>en</strong> tilstandsvurdering <strong>av</strong> trærne utført<br />

samme høst. Tilstandsvurdering<strong>en</strong> beskriver trærnes ”helse” <strong>og</strong><br />

gir viktig informasjon om hvorvidt trærne utgjør <strong>en</strong> fare for å velte.<br />

Beplantingsplan<strong>en</strong> er inndelt i ulike faser: I 2010 startet fornyels<strong>en</strong><br />

<strong>av</strong> trærne i park<strong>en</strong>. Noe <strong>av</strong> det første som måtte gjøres, var å felle 24<br />

<strong>av</strong> trærne i dårligst tilstand samt beskjære cirka 30 trær. Samtidig<br />

plantet vi 37 nye trær fordelt på 12 ulike arter, blant annet røde<br />

hestekastanjer <strong>og</strong> japankirsebærtrær. Vår<strong>en</strong> 2011 ble flere nye trær<br />

plantet. Det beste tidspunktet for planting <strong>av</strong> trær er om vår<strong>en</strong>,<br />

slik at trærne får <strong>en</strong> hel vekstsesong <strong>og</strong> dermed har størst sjanse<br />

for å lykkes. Av h<strong>en</strong>syn til far<strong>en</strong> for hærverk m.m. må trærne som<br />

plantes, være <strong>av</strong> <strong>en</strong> viss størrelse, <strong>og</strong> vi planter vanligvis trær med<br />

stammeomkrets 18–20 cm.<br />

Sesong<strong>en</strong> 2011–2013 gj<strong>en</strong>nomføres såkalt etableringsskjøtsel, dvs.<br />

<strong>en</strong> tett oppfølging <strong>av</strong> trærne de første tre år<strong>en</strong>e til de er etablert <strong>og</strong> i<br />

god vekst på d<strong>en</strong> nye vokseplass<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Turveiskilt/ Gre<strong>en</strong>way signposts<br />

Turveier<br />

<strong>Oslo</strong> har et nettverk <strong>av</strong> grønne, myke ferdselsårer som bygger på<br />

”Plan for parksystem <strong>og</strong> turveier i <strong>Oslo</strong>” vedtatt i 1953. Int<strong>en</strong>sjon<strong>en</strong><br />

med plan<strong>en</strong> er å bygge et nett <strong>av</strong> turveier mellom boligområd<strong>en</strong>e,<br />

fjord<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> Marka. Plan<strong>en</strong> for det overordnete turveisystemet er<br />

s<strong>en</strong>ere blitt stadfestet gj<strong>en</strong>nom ”Grøntplan for <strong>Oslo</strong>”. Alle turveier<br />

har n<strong>av</strong>n fra A til E; for eksempel begynner turvei<strong>en</strong>e i Groruddal<strong>en</strong><br />

på D, m<strong>en</strong>s turvei<strong>en</strong>e i vest begynner på A. Disse n<strong>av</strong>n<strong>en</strong>e finner<br />

man <strong>og</strong>så igj<strong>en</strong> på turveiskilt<strong>en</strong>e.<br />

Av det totale turveinettet på 279 km er nå ca. 80 pros<strong>en</strong>t<br />

opparbeidet. Hvert år opparbeides eller rehabiliteres nye eller<br />

eksister<strong>en</strong>de turveier. Vi jobber nå spesielt målrettet med utvikling<br />

<strong>av</strong> turvei<strong>en</strong>e i Groruddal<strong>en</strong>, der <strong>en</strong> samm<strong>en</strong>h<strong>en</strong>g<strong>en</strong>de turvei langs<br />

Alna (Alnasti<strong>en</strong>) er et viktig delmål. Turvei<strong>en</strong>e opparbeides stort<br />

sett som <strong>en</strong>kle grusveier som skal gli så naturlig som mulig inn i<br />

landskapet. Turvei<strong>en</strong>e gir oss tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelighet til by<strong>en</strong>s blågrønne<br />

struktur – elver, parker <strong>og</strong> andre grøntområder – <strong>og</strong> er <strong>en</strong> ar<strong>en</strong>a for<br />

<strong>en</strong>estå<strong>en</strong>de naturopplevelser <strong>og</strong> <strong>av</strong> uvurderlig betydning for vår<br />

fysiske <strong>og</strong> psykiske helse. For å inspirere flere til å ta i bruk <strong>Oslo</strong>s<br />

grønne årer har vi utarbeidet fire turkart til <strong>Oslo</strong>s turveier.<br />

Gre<strong>en</strong>ways<br />

<strong>Oslo</strong> has a network of gre<strong>en</strong>, non-motorised thoroughfares<br />

that is based on the Plan for Park Systems and Gre<strong>en</strong>ways<br />

in <strong>Oslo</strong> adopted in 1953. The int<strong>en</strong>tion behind the plan is to<br />

build a network of trails betwe<strong>en</strong> resid<strong>en</strong>tial areas, the fjord<br />

and the forest. The plan for the main gre<strong>en</strong>way system was<br />

later ratified in the Gre<strong>en</strong> Plan for <strong>Oslo</strong>. All the gre<strong>en</strong>ways are<br />

designated with letters from A to E; for example, the trails in the<br />

Grorud Valley are designated with the letter D, while the trails<br />

on the west side of the city are designated with the letter A.<br />

These designations are also giv<strong>en</strong> on the gre<strong>en</strong>way signposts.<br />

Approximately 80 per c<strong>en</strong>t of the 279-kilometre-long gre<strong>en</strong>way<br />

network has now be<strong>en</strong> developed. Every year, new or existing<br />

trails are either developed or rehabilitated. At the pres<strong>en</strong>t time<br />

we are conc<strong>en</strong>trating on developing the trails in the Grorud<br />

Valley, an important elem<strong>en</strong>t of which is the developm<strong>en</strong>t of a<br />

contiguous trail along the Alna River (the Alna Trail). The trails<br />

mainly take the form of basic gr<strong>av</strong>elled paths that should bl<strong>en</strong>d<br />

in with their surrounding landscape as naturally as possible.<br />

The gre<strong>en</strong>ways provide us with accessibility to the city’s bluegre<strong>en</strong><br />

structures – the rivers, parks and other gre<strong>en</strong> spaces.<br />

They provide us with a unique ar<strong>en</strong>a for experi<strong>en</strong>cing nature<br />

and are vital to our physical and m<strong>en</strong>tal wellbeing. In order<br />

to inspire more people to use <strong>Oslo</strong>’s gre<strong>en</strong> arteries we h<strong>av</strong>e<br />

prepared four route maps of <strong>Oslo</strong>’s gre<strong>en</strong>ways.<br />

Gre<strong>en</strong>way D10 in Svartdal<strong>en</strong> Valley<br />

In the valley of Svartdal<strong>en</strong> we h<strong>av</strong>e built a 900 meter-long stretch of the D10 trail.<br />

This is the final large section of the Alna Trail; a contiguous trail along the Alna<br />

River from the Gamleby<strong>en</strong> district in the west to the forest in the east. A unique<br />

feature of this project is that a 250 meter-long section consists of a boardwalk.<br />

There was no trail by the river at Alna’s most picturesque spot, with its rushing<br />

waterfall. The area was steep and inaccessible, with barriers consisting of<br />

railway track and roads, making a contiguous trail impossible. In this rugged<br />

terrain a trail that winds its way close to and over the River Alna was built. The<br />

trail was built in the form of a wood<strong>en</strong> boardwalk supported on piles across<br />

the river, and it winds under a road bridge and two old railway bridges. At<br />

Nygårdfoss<strong>en</strong>, one of the Alna River’s largest waterfalls, the trail crosses a<br />

newly-built susp<strong>en</strong>ded bridge. Further east, the trail continues as a gr<strong>av</strong>el path<br />

through Fagerlia, a natural area, which is universally accessible. The <strong>en</strong>tire<br />

section is well signposted and offers the public several alternative routes.<br />

I Svartdal<strong>en</strong> har Bymiljøetat<strong>en</strong> bygd <strong>en</strong> 900 meter lang del <strong>av</strong> turvei<br />

D10. Dette er siste store bit <strong>av</strong> Alnasti<strong>en</strong> – <strong>en</strong> samm<strong>en</strong>h<strong>en</strong>g<strong>en</strong>de<br />

turvei langs Alnaelva fra Gamleby<strong>en</strong> i vest til Marka i øst. Noe <strong>av</strong><br />

det unike med dette prosjektet er at hele 250 meter <strong>av</strong> strekning<strong>en</strong><br />

foregår på <strong>en</strong> bordgang.<br />

Det har l<strong>en</strong>ge vært turvei i Svartdalspark<strong>en</strong>, m<strong>en</strong> l<strong>en</strong>ger opp, der<br />

Alna er på sitt vakreste med brus<strong>en</strong>de fossefall, var det ikke turvei<br />

nær elva, <strong>og</strong> i stedet måtte man gå opp til Arnljot Gellines vei på<br />

Etterstad. Området var dessut<strong>en</strong> bratt <strong>og</strong> utilgj<strong>en</strong>gelig, med mye<br />

buskas <strong>og</strong> søppel, <strong>og</strong> ikke minst utgjorde jernban<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> veier<br />

barrierer, slik at <strong>en</strong> samm<strong>en</strong>h<strong>en</strong>g<strong>en</strong>de turvei ikke var mulig.<br />

I dette ul<strong>en</strong>dte terr<strong>en</strong>get er det bygd <strong>en</strong> turvei som snor seg nært<br />

inntil <strong>og</strong> over Alna. Turvei<strong>en</strong> er bygd som <strong>en</strong> bordgang i tre som<br />

står på påler over elva <strong>og</strong> bukter seg under ei veibru <strong>og</strong> to gamle<br />

jernbanebruer. Ved Nygårdsfoss<strong>en</strong>, <strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> Alnas største fosser, går<br />

turvei<strong>en</strong> over ei nyanlagt h<strong>en</strong>gebru.<br />

Videre østover fortsetter turvei<strong>en</strong> som <strong>en</strong> universelt tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelig<br />

grusvei gj<strong>en</strong>nom Fagerlia – et frodig naturområde. Hele strekning<strong>en</strong><br />

er godt skiltet <strong>og</strong> gir publikum mulighet til å velge flere alternative<br />

traseer. Turvei<strong>en</strong> ble formelt åpnet <strong>av</strong> miljøvernminister Erik Solheim<br />

Gre<strong>en</strong>way D10, Terminalvei<strong>en</strong><br />

We h<strong>av</strong>e invested he<strong>av</strong>ily in building trails along the Alna River to achieve the<br />

objective of a contiguous gre<strong>en</strong>way alongside Alna (the Alna Trail). One of the<br />

sections that was missing was at Alnabru, and a 300-metre-long gre<strong>en</strong>way has<br />

now be<strong>en</strong> built. Previously, users had to use the p<strong>av</strong>em<strong>en</strong>t. Now a gre<strong>en</strong>way<br />

has be<strong>en</strong> built on the slope by Alna where one can access trails in secluded<br />

natural surroundings alongside the river, only a stone’s throw away from the<br />

busy Alnabru goods terminal. The gre<strong>en</strong>way is 3 metres wide and has be<strong>en</strong><br />

made as universally accessible as possible by building g<strong>en</strong>tly inclining slopes.<br />

In the northern section a small meeting point has be<strong>en</strong> constructed, with a ramp<br />

and steps and a 35-metre-long boardwalk where piles were installed along the<br />

steeper sections. To improve access to the Alna Trail we h<strong>av</strong>e installed a new<br />

set of granite steps from the road down to the trail. Although close to Alnabru,<br />

the natural <strong>en</strong>vironm<strong>en</strong>t here is valuable, with abundant grey alder-bird cherry<br />

woodland. Existing trees and vegetation were therefore preserved as far as<br />

possible.<br />

Vi har satset stort på bygging <strong>av</strong> turveier langs Alna for å oppnå<br />

målet om <strong>en</strong> samm<strong>en</strong>h<strong>en</strong>g<strong>en</strong>de turvei langs elva, d<strong>en</strong> såkalte<br />

Alnasti<strong>en</strong>. En <strong>av</strong> disse mangl<strong>en</strong>de turveibit<strong>en</strong>e lå på Alnabru. Her er<br />

det bygd <strong>en</strong> 300 meter lang turvei i skråning<strong>en</strong> mellom Terminalvei<strong>en</strong><br />

<strong>og</strong> Alna.<br />

Tidligere måtte turgåere b<strong>en</strong>ytte fortauet langs Terminalvei<strong>en</strong>. Nå<br />

kan turgåere ferdes i skjermede naturomgivelser langs elva, bare<br />

no<strong>en</strong> steinkast fra d<strong>en</strong> trafikkerte Alnabru-terminal<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Turvei<strong>en</strong> har tre meters bredde <strong>og</strong> er universelt tilrettelagt i d<strong>en</strong> grad<br />

det er mulig, ved at bakker er laget så slake som mulig. I d<strong>en</strong> nordre<br />

del<strong>en</strong> er det bygd <strong>en</strong> lit<strong>en</strong> møteplass med rampe <strong>og</strong> trapper samt<br />

<strong>en</strong> 35 meters bordgang hvor turvei<strong>en</strong> går på påler i bratt skråning.<br />

Ramp<strong>en</strong> er i likhet med bordgang<strong>en</strong> laget i ubehandlet eik, m<strong>en</strong>s<br />

trappa fra turvei<strong>en</strong> ned til gangbrua er i plasstøpt betong.<br />

For å lette adkomst<strong>en</strong> til Alnasti<strong>en</strong> har vi anlagt <strong>en</strong> ny granittrapp<br />

fra Terminalvei<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> ned til turvei<strong>en</strong>. Selv om vi er rett ved Alnabru,<br />

er natur<strong>en</strong> her verdifull, med rik gråorheggesk<strong>og</strong>. Eksister<strong>en</strong>de<br />

trær <strong>og</strong> vegetasjon er derfor bevart så langt det er mulig langs hele<br />

turveistrekning<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Nord for Alnapark<strong>en</strong> er det bygd <strong>en</strong> cirka 700 meter lang turvei<br />

som er del <strong>av</strong> Alnasti<strong>en</strong>. Strekning<strong>en</strong> er opparbeidet som grusvei<br />

på 2,5 meters bredde <strong>og</strong> er universelt tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelig. Turvei<strong>en</strong> er døpt<br />

Poudretsti<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Poudrette betyr «lite eller fint pudder» på fransk, <strong>og</strong> n<strong>av</strong>net stammer<br />

fra Cæsar R. Michelets poudretproduksjon, som foregikk i området.<br />

Her ble do<strong>av</strong>fall blandet med kalk, myrjord eller torvstrø for å fjerne<br />

lukt, <strong>og</strong> dette ble så solgt videre som gjødsel.<br />

Gre<strong>en</strong>way D10, Poudretsti<strong>en</strong><br />

North of the Alna Park (Alnapark<strong>en</strong>) a trail measuring approximately 700 metres<br />

was built as part of the Alna Trail, the gre<strong>en</strong>way along the Alna River. This section<br />

was built as a gr<strong>av</strong>el path, 2.5 metres wide and universally accessible. The trail<br />

was named Poudretsti<strong>en</strong>. «Poudrette» is Fr<strong>en</strong>ch meaning little or fine powder,<br />

and the name derives from Cæsar R Michelet’s production of night soil in the<br />

area. Human excrem<strong>en</strong>t was mixed with lime, b<strong>og</strong> soil or peat moss to remove<br />

the smell, and this was th<strong>en</strong> sold as fertiliser. Along the trail there is an old<br />

bridge from the 1870s. This was restored and, as far as possible, the stones from<br />

the old abutm<strong>en</strong>ts were reused. The most intact abutm<strong>en</strong>ts stand on the north<br />

bank of the river. The bridge was named Ragna Hans<strong>en</strong>s bru after Michelet’s<br />

housekeeper. So who was this woman who had a bridge named after her The<br />

story goes that the factory owner was in love with her and had the bridge built in<br />

her honour. Not only does this trail pass through historical ground; it also links<br />

the gre<strong>en</strong>ways betwe<strong>en</strong> Grorud station and Alna Park.<br />

Langs turvei<strong>en</strong> ligger <strong>en</strong> gammel bru fra 1870-år<strong>en</strong>e. Brua over<br />

Fossumbekk<strong>en</strong> ble brukt i forbindelse med poudretproduksjon<strong>en</strong>,<br />

eller «pudritt», som det ble kalt på folkemunne. D<strong>en</strong> gamle brua er<br />

restaurert, <strong>og</strong> i så stor grad det er mulig, er stein<strong>en</strong>e fra de gamle<br />

brukar<strong>en</strong>e gj<strong>en</strong>brukt. De mest intakte brukar<strong>en</strong>e ligger på nordsid<strong>en</strong><br />

<strong>av</strong> elva. Brua har fått n<strong>av</strong>net Ragna Hans<strong>en</strong>s bru, etter Michelets<br />

husholderske. Hvem var så d<strong>en</strong>ne kvinn<strong>en</strong> som fikk <strong>en</strong> bru kalt opp<br />

etter seg Det sies at fabrikkeier<strong>en</strong> var forelsket i h<strong>en</strong>ne, <strong>og</strong> at han<br />

bygde brua til h<strong>en</strong>ne.<br />

Turvei<strong>en</strong> går ikke bare i et historisk område, m<strong>en</strong> binder <strong>og</strong>så<br />

samm<strong>en</strong> turveinettet mellom Grorud stasjon <strong>og</strong> Alnapark<strong>en</strong>.


Turvei D10, Fossumbekk<strong>en</strong><br />

Gre<strong>en</strong>way D10 along Fossumbekk<strong>en</strong><br />

A short but very exciting gre<strong>en</strong>way is established by Grorud railway station.<br />

What is special about this trail is that it is designed to run close by the river,<br />

Fossumbekk<strong>en</strong>, and that it was built without any major intrusion on the natural<br />

habitat. One «hovers» close to the river on a boardwalk that is raised betwe<strong>en</strong> 50<br />

and 90 cm above the ground. This section of the trail is not universally designed<br />

due to the nature of the terrain. Natural and biol<strong>og</strong>ical diversity considerations<br />

were particularly important, and the raised boardwalk makes it possible to<br />

build a walking trail that is close to nature without any detrim<strong>en</strong>tal intrusion.<br />

As little vegetation as possible was removed, and we made slight b<strong>en</strong>ds in the<br />

boardwalk in order to spare the trees standing too close to it. The boardwalk is<br />

2 metres wide, and steps leading down to the trail were built at both <strong>en</strong>ds. Two<br />

seating areas are installed along the boardwalk. Although the new trail is only<br />

200 metres long, it does offer close contact with the river and the intertwining<br />

trees nearby.<br />

Rett sør for Grorud jernbanestasjon er det bygd <strong>en</strong> kort, m<strong>en</strong> svært<br />

sp<strong>en</strong>n<strong>en</strong>de turveibit. Det spesielle med turvei<strong>en</strong> er at d<strong>en</strong> er utformet<br />

for å komme nær elva, Fossumbekk<strong>en</strong>, <strong>og</strong> at d<strong>en</strong> er anlagt ut<strong>en</strong> store<br />

inngrep i natur<strong>en</strong>. Her «svever» man langs elva på <strong>en</strong> bordgang som<br />

er 50–90 cm over bakk<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Turveistrekning<strong>en</strong> er ikke universelt utformet på grunn <strong>av</strong><br />

terr<strong>en</strong>gforhold. H<strong>en</strong>syn til natur <strong>og</strong> biol<strong>og</strong>isk mangfold har vært<br />

særlig viktig, <strong>og</strong> d<strong>en</strong> svev<strong>en</strong>de bordgang<strong>en</strong> gjør det mulig å lage <strong>en</strong><br />

turvei som er nær natur<strong>en</strong>, ut<strong>en</strong> ødelegg<strong>en</strong>de inngrep. Minst mulig<br />

<strong>av</strong> vegetasjon<strong>en</strong> er fjernet, <strong>og</strong> vi har gjort små innsvingninger i<br />

bordgang<strong>en</strong> for å skåne trærne som står helt inntil bordgang<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Bordgang<strong>en</strong> er i to meters bredde, <strong>og</strong> i begge <strong>en</strong>d<strong>en</strong>e er det bygd<br />

trapper som fører ned til turvei<strong>en</strong>. Langs bordgang<strong>en</strong> er det anlagt<br />

to sitteplasser. Strekning<strong>en</strong> er del <strong>av</strong> Alnasti<strong>en</strong>, <strong>og</strong> her var det ikke<br />

turvei tidligere.<br />

Om d<strong>en</strong> nye turvei<strong>en</strong> kun er 200 meter lang, gir d<strong>en</strong> desto mer<br />

nærkontakt med elva <strong>og</strong> trærne, som slynger seg tett på <strong>og</strong> gir <strong>en</strong><br />

følelse <strong>av</strong> å være i jungel<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> ikke ett minutt fra t<strong>og</strong>stasjon<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Turvei D16 til Østmarka<br />

Gre<strong>en</strong>way D16 to Østmarka Forest<br />

Part of the idea behind the gre<strong>en</strong>way network is that the trails should serve as<br />

gre<strong>en</strong> arteries that bind the forest and the city t<strong>og</strong>ether. Gre<strong>en</strong>way D16 is just<br />

such a trail, running from the inhabited areas of Trosterud and Haugerud to the<br />

Østmarka Forest. This new gre<strong>en</strong>way is 890 metres long and 2.5 metres wide. At<br />

Haugerud sports ground the old asphalt was replaced with new, while the rest of<br />

the trail has a gr<strong>av</strong>el surface. Two sets of granite steps were installed along the<br />

way, and a 2.5-metre-wide footbridge was installed over a small stream, along<br />

with a seating area with two b<strong>en</strong>ches. The gre<strong>en</strong>way is universally accessible<br />

and, where the steps are installed, offers alternative routes for wheelchair users<br />

and pushchairs. The direction and height of the trail are adapted to the terrain<br />

so that it bl<strong>en</strong>ds naturally into its <strong>en</strong>vironm<strong>en</strong>t and therefore reduces the ext<strong>en</strong>t<br />

of intrusion. At the <strong>en</strong>d of the D16 gre<strong>en</strong>way the forest road begins and heads<br />

inwards towards Østmarka Forest and Lutvann Lake.<br />

Noe <strong>av</strong> hovedtankegang<strong>en</strong> bak turveinettet er at turvei<strong>en</strong>e skal<br />

være grønne årer som binder samm<strong>en</strong> Marka <strong>og</strong> by<strong>en</strong>. Turvei D16 er<br />

nettopp <strong>en</strong> slik vei <strong>og</strong> går fra Tvet<strong>en</strong>vei<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> Haugerud idrettsanlegg<br />

til Østmarka.<br />

D<strong>en</strong> nye turvei<strong>en</strong> er på 890 meter <strong>og</strong> er opparbeidet i 2,5 meters<br />

bredde. Mellom Tvet<strong>en</strong>vei<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> Haugerud idrettsplass var det rester<br />

<strong>av</strong> asfaltert gangvei. Her er d<strong>en</strong> gamle asfalt<strong>en</strong> erstattet med ny,<br />

m<strong>en</strong>s rest<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> strekning<strong>en</strong> har grusdekke. Underveis er det anlagt<br />

to trapper i granitt, <strong>og</strong> det er bygd <strong>en</strong> 2,5 meter bred treklopp over <strong>en</strong><br />

lit<strong>en</strong> bekk samt <strong>en</strong> sitteplass med to b<strong>en</strong>ker. Turvei<strong>en</strong> er universelt<br />

tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelig, <strong>og</strong> der trapp<strong>en</strong>e er anlagt, fins det alternative traseer for<br />

rullestolbrukere <strong>og</strong> barnev<strong>og</strong>ner.<br />

Veiføring<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> høyd<strong>en</strong> på turvei<strong>en</strong> er tilpasset terr<strong>en</strong>get, slik at<br />

turvei<strong>en</strong> faller naturlig inn i omgivels<strong>en</strong>e <strong>og</strong> dermed minsker inngrep<br />

i terr<strong>en</strong>get. Der turvei D16 slutter, fortsetter sk<strong>og</strong>svei<strong>en</strong> innover mot<br />

Østmarka <strong>og</strong> Lutvann.<br />

Det er første delstrekning <strong>av</strong> turvei D16, som nå er ferdigstilt.<br />

Når rester<strong>en</strong>de strekninger på turvei D16 ferdigstilles, vil <strong>og</strong>så<br />

Alnabru/Breivoll-området bindes samm<strong>en</strong> med Østmarka.<br />

Turvei D10, Haug<strong>en</strong>port<strong>en</strong><br />

Gre<strong>en</strong>way D10 and the Haug<strong>en</strong>port<strong>en</strong> underpass<br />

Roads, industrial estates and railway lines constitute some of the biggest<br />

barriers to pedestrians and cyclists in the Grorud Valley. Previously, one had to<br />

make a 1 kilometre detour at Haug<strong>en</strong>stua in order to continue on the D10 trail,<br />

also known as the Alna Trail (Alnasti<strong>en</strong>). Since the Haug<strong>en</strong>stua underpass was<br />

built under the railway line south-west of Haug<strong>en</strong>stua station, it is much easier<br />

to walk along the Alna Trail. The work was carried out during a 36-hour stoppage<br />

of rail traffic during the Whitsun week<strong>en</strong>d in 2008. In that short space of time<br />

large volumes of rock and 45 metres of railway track were removed to <strong>en</strong>able the<br />

underpass to be installed. The work was completed with a margin of 20 minutes!<br />

This is the first major project in the Grorud Valley to remove the type of barrier<br />

which a railway poses. The underpass is constructed of a 40 metres long steel<br />

culvert that was buried below the railway track. A competition was held to decide<br />

the name of the underpass, h<strong>en</strong>ce the name Haug<strong>en</strong>port<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Veier, industriområder <strong>og</strong> jernbanelinjer utgjør no<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> de største<br />

barrier<strong>en</strong>e for fotgj<strong>en</strong>gere <strong>og</strong> syklister i Groruddal<strong>en</strong>. På grunn<br />

<strong>av</strong> jernban<strong>en</strong> måtte man på Haug<strong>en</strong>stua tidligere gå <strong>en</strong> omvei på<br />

1 kilometer for å fortsette turvei D10 (Alnasti<strong>en</strong>). Med bygging<strong>en</strong><br />

<strong>av</strong> Haug<strong>en</strong>port<strong>en</strong>, undergang<strong>en</strong> under jernbanelinja sørvest for<br />

Haug<strong>en</strong>stua stasjon, er det blitt <strong>en</strong>klere å vandre langs Alnasti<strong>en</strong>.<br />

For å bygge undergang<strong>en</strong> måtte vi stanse t<strong>og</strong>trafikk<strong>en</strong>, <strong>og</strong> arbeidet<br />

ble utført i løpet <strong>av</strong> et 36-timers stopp i t<strong>og</strong>trafikk<strong>en</strong> i pins<strong>en</strong> 2008.<br />

På d<strong>en</strong>ne korte tid<strong>en</strong> ble store m<strong>en</strong>gder steinmasse <strong>og</strong> 45 meter <strong>av</strong><br />

skinnegang<strong>en</strong> fjernet, før undergang<strong>en</strong> ble montert. Arbeidet ble<br />

ferdig med <strong>en</strong> margin på 20 minutter!<br />

Dette er det første store prosjektet i Groruddal<strong>en</strong> for å fjerne d<strong>en</strong><br />

barrier<strong>en</strong> som jernban<strong>en</strong> utgjør. Selve undergang<strong>en</strong> er et 40 meter<br />

langt stålrør (kulvert) som er nedgr<strong>av</strong>d under jernbanespor<strong>en</strong>e. En<br />

n<strong>av</strong>nekonkurranse har gitt undergang<strong>en</strong> n<strong>av</strong>net «Haug<strong>en</strong>port<strong>en</strong>».<br />

I tillegg til undergang<strong>en</strong> ble det anlagt <strong>en</strong> turvei fra Maria Dehlis vei<br />

<strong>og</strong> fram til Garver Ytteborgs vei. Turvei<strong>en</strong> binder samm<strong>en</strong> turvei<strong>en</strong>e<br />

fra Vestli <strong>og</strong> Stovner mot Alnapark<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> videre mot Svartdal<strong>en</strong>. For å<br />

lette ankomst<strong>en</strong> til Haug<strong>en</strong>stua jernbanestasjon, som ligger rett ved<br />

kulvert<strong>en</strong>, har vi dessut<strong>en</strong> anlagt <strong>en</strong> snarvei opp til stasjon<strong>en</strong> som<br />

leder fram mot pilegrimsled<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> turvei D7.<br />

Op<strong>en</strong>ing of Tokerudbekk<strong>en</strong><br />

Tokerudbekk<strong>en</strong> is a stream approximately 6 kilometres long situated on the<br />

east side of <strong>Oslo</strong> which runs partly in underground pipes. In line with the<br />

Groruddal<strong>en</strong> Integrated Urban Reg<strong>en</strong>eration Project’s vision of op<strong>en</strong>ing up the<br />

Alna River and its tributaries, 20 metres of Tokerudbekk<strong>en</strong> has now be<strong>en</strong> op<strong>en</strong>ed,<br />

and a small pond, a small waterfall and seating installed. Julsbergbekk<strong>en</strong>, one<br />

of <strong>Oslo</strong>’s most ext<strong>en</strong>sively piped streams, also runs through this area, so both<br />

Julsbergbekk<strong>en</strong> and Tokerudbekk<strong>en</strong> supply water to the newly-op<strong>en</strong>ed stream.<br />

More of the Alna River’s tributaries will be op<strong>en</strong>ed up in due course; the next<br />

step is to op<strong>en</strong> up a 400 metres stretch of the Julsbergbekk<strong>en</strong> that runs betwe<strong>en</strong><br />

Høybråt<strong>en</strong> station and Haug<strong>en</strong>stua housing cooperative as part of a new activity<br />

park project in the Stovner District. There are also plans to op<strong>en</strong> up a stretch of<br />

Tokerudbekk<strong>en</strong> in Romm<strong>en</strong>sletta as part of the plans for the new park there.<br />

Tokerudbekk<strong>en</strong> er <strong>en</strong> cirka 6 kilometer lang bekk som går fra Brubakk<br />

ved jernbanestasjon<strong>en</strong> på Grorud, gj<strong>en</strong>nom Romm<strong>en</strong>sletta <strong>og</strong> opp til<br />

Lillomarka <strong>og</strong> Nittedal. Over Romm<strong>en</strong>sletta går bekk<strong>en</strong> i rør.<br />

I h<strong>en</strong>hold til Groruddalssatsing<strong>en</strong>s visjon om å åpne opp Alnaelva <strong>og</strong><br />

dets sidebekker er 20 meter <strong>av</strong> Tokerudbekk<strong>en</strong> nå åpnet i området<br />

nord for Haug<strong>en</strong>port<strong>en</strong>. Her er det anlagt et vannspeil, et lite fossefall<br />

<strong>og</strong> sitteplasser.<br />

I dette området går <strong>og</strong>så <strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> <strong>Oslo</strong>s mest lukkede bekker,<br />

Julsbergbekk<strong>en</strong>, slik at Julsbergbekk<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> Tokerudbekk<strong>en</strong> samm<strong>en</strong><br />

tilfører vann til det nyåpnede vannspeilet.<br />

På sikt skal flere <strong>av</strong> Alnas sidebekker åpnes. Neste ledd blir å<br />

åpne opp 400 meter <strong>av</strong> Julsbergbekk<strong>en</strong> mellom Høybråt<strong>en</strong> stasjon<br />

<strong>og</strong> Haug<strong>en</strong>stua borettslag, som del <strong>av</strong> prosjektet med å lage ny<br />

aktivitetspark i Bydel Stovner. I tillegg er det planer om å åpne opp<br />

Tokerudbekk<strong>en</strong> på Romm<strong>en</strong>sletta, som del <strong>av</strong> plan<strong>en</strong>e om d<strong>en</strong> nye<br />

park<strong>en</strong> på Romm<strong>en</strong>sletta.<br />

Det fins et stort nett <strong>av</strong> turveier i Groruddal<strong>en</strong>, <strong>og</strong> det er mulig å<br />

vandre dal<strong>en</strong> på langs på grønne <strong>og</strong> trygge turveier. M<strong>en</strong> å krysse<br />

dal<strong>en</strong> på tvers byr på barrierer i form <strong>av</strong> jernbanelinjer, store veier,<br />

industriområder <strong>og</strong> ann<strong>en</strong> infrastruktur.<br />

Vi har derfor laget <strong>en</strong> studie som tar utgangspunkt i området hvor<br />

Groruddal<strong>en</strong> er på sitt smaleste – mellom Lindeberg <strong>og</strong> Rødtvet –<br />

<strong>og</strong> der Alnapark<strong>en</strong> ligger midtveis som <strong>en</strong> stor grønn lunge. Studi<strong>en</strong><br />

viser hvordan vi på sikt kan lage <strong>en</strong> «grønn forbindelse» mellom<br />

Lillomarka <strong>og</strong> Østmarka.<br />

Interconnecting gre<strong>en</strong>way in the Grorud Valley<br />

There is a large network of gre<strong>en</strong>ways in the Grorud Valley, and it is possible<br />

to wander through it on gre<strong>en</strong> and safe trails. However, crossing the valley<br />

is prev<strong>en</strong>ted by barriers such as railway lines, busy roads, industrial estates<br />

and other infrastructure. We therefore conducted a study that focused on the<br />

narrowest point in the Grorud Valley, where the Alna Park (Alnapark<strong>en</strong>) lies in<br />

the middle, like a huge, gre<strong>en</strong> lung. The study shows how we could in the future<br />

create a contiguous gre<strong>en</strong> corridor – a crossover point – from Lillomarka Forest<br />

to Østmarka Forest while still preserving existing gre<strong>en</strong> spaces with streams and<br />

rivers. The interconnecting gre<strong>en</strong>way consists of a contiguous gre<strong>en</strong> structure of<br />

nature parks, sports grounds and urban parks linked t<strong>og</strong>ether by the gre<strong>en</strong>way<br />

network, like gre<strong>en</strong> strings on a pearl. The feasibility study discusses both<br />

short-term and long-term measures, and follows up the Strategic Plan for Gre<strong>en</strong><br />

Structures in the Grorud Valley from 2004.<br />

Mulighetsstudi<strong>en</strong> peker på ulike tiltak for å skape <strong>en</strong><br />

samm<strong>en</strong>h<strong>en</strong>g<strong>en</strong>de grønn korridor – <strong>en</strong> tverrforbindelse – fra<br />

Lillomarka til Østmarka. Samtidig skal eksister<strong>en</strong>de grøntområder<br />

med bekker <strong>og</strong> elver bevares. De ulike tiltak<strong>en</strong>e består <strong>av</strong> turveibiter,<br />

parker, gangbruer m.m. Tverrforbindels<strong>en</strong> viderefører prinsippet<br />

om <strong>en</strong> samm<strong>en</strong>h<strong>en</strong>g<strong>en</strong>de grønnstruktur bestå<strong>en</strong>de <strong>av</strong> naturparker,<br />

idrettsparker <strong>og</strong> byparker bundet samm<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> turveisystemet – som<br />

perler på ei snor fra Lindeberg til Rødtvet.<br />

Mulighetsstudi<strong>en</strong> viser både kortsiktige <strong>og</strong> langsiktig tiltak <strong>og</strong> er <strong>en</strong><br />

oppfølging <strong>av</strong> Strategisk grønnstrukturplan for Groruddal<strong>en</strong> vedtatt i<br />

Gre<strong>en</strong>way D6 to Hølaløkka<br />

Gre<strong>en</strong>way D6 from Veitvet to Hølaløkka is one of the longest trails in the Grorud<br />

Valley (Groruddal<strong>en</strong>). It runs the l<strong>en</strong>gth of the valley from Veitvet sports ground<br />

to Hølaløkka water park. It is approximately 2.2 kilometres long and an important<br />

transport artery in the Grorud Valley. Like most other gre<strong>en</strong>ways, this one also<br />

has a gr<strong>av</strong>el surface, and measures betwe<strong>en</strong> 1.2 metres and 2.5 metres in width.<br />

We erected granite walls in some spots to reduce intrusion in the terrain. The trail<br />

runs over two new wood<strong>en</strong> bridges and two boardwalks which were impregnated<br />

with an <strong>en</strong>vironm<strong>en</strong>tally fri<strong>en</strong>dly material, so-called “sugar impregnation”. For<br />

the most part the trail runs under a high-voltage pylon route, and two b<strong>en</strong>ch<br />

seats were positioned in a spot that offers a good view across the Grorud Valley.<br />

The trail was developed with as little intrusion as possible, and attempts were<br />

made to preserve the existing trees and other valuable vegetation.<br />

Turvei D6 fra Veitvet til Hølaløkka er ett <strong>av</strong> de l<strong>en</strong>gste turveistrekk<strong>en</strong>e<br />

i Groruddal<strong>en</strong>. Turvei<strong>en</strong> – som strekker seg fra Veitvet<br />

idrettsanlegg til Hølaløkka vannpark – er 2,2 kilometer lang <strong>og</strong> er <strong>en</strong><br />

viktig transportåre i Groruddal<strong>en</strong>. Vei<strong>en</strong> går nemlig på langs <strong>av</strong> dal<strong>en</strong><br />

<strong>og</strong> kan karakteriseres som <strong>en</strong> Trondheimsvei for myke trafikanter.<br />

Som de fleste turveier har <strong>og</strong>så d<strong>en</strong>ne turvei<strong>en</strong> grusdekke, <strong>og</strong><br />

veibredd<strong>en</strong> er 1,2 til 2,5 meter. Turvei<strong>en</strong> går over to nye trebruer<br />

<strong>og</strong> to bordganger. Disse er impregnert med et miljøv<strong>en</strong>nlig<br />

materiale, såkalt sukkerimpregnering. Enkelte steder har<br />

vi bygd granittmurer for å minske terr<strong>en</strong>ginngrep<strong>en</strong>e. Turvei<strong>en</strong><br />

går i hovedsak under <strong>en</strong> høysp<strong>en</strong>ttrasé, <strong>og</strong> langs vei<strong>en</strong> er det<br />

laget <strong>en</strong> b<strong>en</strong>keplass med to b<strong>en</strong>ker der man har god utsikt utover<br />

Groruddal<strong>en</strong>. I tillegg ble det <strong>og</strong>så bygd <strong>en</strong> lit<strong>en</strong> delstrekning på cirka<br />

200 meter langs Vesletjernbekk<strong>en</strong>, som er del <strong>av</strong> turvei D8. D<strong>en</strong>ne<br />

turveibit<strong>en</strong> er <strong>en</strong> viktig del <strong>av</strong> d<strong>en</strong> tverrgå<strong>en</strong>de forbindels<strong>en</strong> på<br />

hovedturveinettet fra Nordtvet gård til Vesletjern i Lillomarka.<br />

De to turvei<strong>en</strong>e er opparbeidet med så små inngrep som mulig.<br />

Eksister<strong>en</strong>de trær <strong>og</strong> ann<strong>en</strong> verdifull vegetasjon er forsøkt bevart.<br />

Det er tatt spesielt h<strong>en</strong>syn i områd<strong>en</strong>e ved Sandåsbekk<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong><br />

Vesletjernbekk<strong>en</strong>, som er verdifulle områder med biol<strong>og</strong>isk<br />

mangfold. Langs turvei D8 er det dessut<strong>en</strong> laget <strong>en</strong> b<strong>en</strong>keplass som<br />

er integrert i d<strong>en</strong> 61 meter lange bordgang<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Refstadbekk<strong>en</strong><br />

Gre<strong>en</strong>way D6 and the op<strong>en</strong>ing of Refstadbekk<strong>en</strong><br />

Hovinbekk<strong>en</strong> is <strong>Oslo</strong>’s most <strong>en</strong>closed water course. From Lillomarka Forest<br />

it runs into the fjord along with the Aker River. In 2007 we reop<strong>en</strong>ed sections<br />

of the Refstadbekk<strong>en</strong>, a tributary of Hovinbekk<strong>en</strong>. Approximately 100 metres<br />

of the Refstadbekk<strong>en</strong> stream was uncovered, and a 500-metre stretch of new<br />

gre<strong>en</strong>way was developed. The route tr<strong>av</strong>erses the resid<strong>en</strong>tial area in Refstad<br />

and follows the course of the Refstadbekk<strong>en</strong>. This is one of the Ag<strong>en</strong>cy for Urban<br />

Environm<strong>en</strong>t’s biggest stream op<strong>en</strong>ing projects. A terrain wall of natural stone,<br />

which can also serve as seating, was built along the gre<strong>en</strong>way and the course<br />

of the stream. A good deal of the vegetation has be<strong>en</strong> cleared, and we h<strong>av</strong>e<br />

planted new indig<strong>en</strong>ous vegetation to recreate a gre<strong>en</strong> stretch that is as natural<br />

as possible. Seat b<strong>en</strong>ches h<strong>av</strong>e be<strong>en</strong> installed along the gre<strong>en</strong>way, which is 1.5<br />

metres wide and gr<strong>av</strong>elled. After the project was completed, erosion damage<br />

occurred. Rehabilitation work on the uncovered stream will comm<strong>en</strong>ce in 2011<br />

and the design will help the stream to withstand a 200-year flood.<br />

Hovinbekk<strong>en</strong> er <strong>Oslo</strong>s mest lukkede vassdrag. Fra Lillomarka r<strong>en</strong>ner<br />

d<strong>en</strong> gj<strong>en</strong>nom Økern <strong>og</strong> Ensjø <strong>og</strong> ut i fjord<strong>en</strong> samm<strong>en</strong> med Akerselva.<br />

I 2007 gj<strong>en</strong>åpnet Bymiljøetat<strong>en</strong> deler <strong>av</strong> Refstadbekk<strong>en</strong>, som er <strong>en</strong><br />

sidebekk til Hovinbekk<strong>en</strong>. Dette er ett <strong>av</strong> Bymiljøetat<strong>en</strong>s største<br />

bekkeåpningsprosjekter.<br />

Cirka 100 meter <strong>av</strong> Refstadbekk<strong>en</strong> mellom Refstadsving<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong><br />

Refstadvei<strong>en</strong> ble gr<strong>av</strong>d fram i dag<strong>en</strong> samtidig som ny turvei ble<br />

opparbeidet. D<strong>en</strong> nye turvei<strong>en</strong> er <strong>en</strong> cirka 500 meter lang del <strong>av</strong><br />

turvei D6. Strekning<strong>en</strong> går i villabebyggels<strong>en</strong> på Refstad <strong>og</strong> følger<br />

bekkedraget til Refstadbekk<strong>en</strong>. Langs turvei<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> bekkeløpet er det<br />

bygd terr<strong>en</strong>gmurer i naturstein, som <strong>og</strong>så kan brukes til å sitte på.<br />

Øverst ved Refstadsving<strong>en</strong> fjernet vi <strong>en</strong> god del tidligere oppfylte<br />

masser for å få fram d<strong>en</strong> opprinnelige dalform<strong>en</strong>, hvor bekk<strong>en</strong><br />

r<strong>en</strong>ner i bunn<strong>en</strong>. En god del vegetasjon er ryddet, <strong>og</strong> vi har plantet<br />

ny stedseg<strong>en</strong> vegetasjon for å gj<strong>en</strong>skape et mest mulig naturlig<br />

grøntdrag. Langs turvei<strong>en</strong> – som er 1,5 meter bred <strong>og</strong> gruslagt – er<br />

det utplassert b<strong>en</strong>ker.<br />

Etter ferdigstillels<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> bekk<strong>en</strong> oppsto erosjonsskader, <strong>og</strong><br />

rehabilitering <strong>av</strong> d<strong>en</strong> gj<strong>en</strong>åpnede bekk<strong>en</strong> starter høst<strong>en</strong> 2011. I dette<br />

arbeidet er det prosjektert for at bekk<strong>en</strong> skal tåle <strong>en</strong> 200-årsflom.<br />

Det er <strong>og</strong>så planer om at 300 meter <strong>av</strong> Hovinbekk<strong>en</strong> skal åpnes som<br />

del <strong>av</strong> arbeidet med d<strong>en</strong> nye Bjerkedal<strong>en</strong> park.<br />

Gre<strong>en</strong>way D9 at Leirfoss<strong>en</strong> waterfall<br />

In the 1970s Leirfoss<strong>en</strong>, one of upper Alna’s biggest waterfalls, became hidd<strong>en</strong><br />

behind a concrete dam. In 2011 the waterfall was reop<strong>en</strong>ed. At the same time as<br />

the waterfall was reop<strong>en</strong>ed, sections of Gre<strong>en</strong>way D9 were upgraded to improve<br />

accessibility to it. Leirfoss<strong>en</strong> had not just be<strong>en</strong> closed; it was also difficult to get<br />

close to it, and trail users had to cross a busy road in order to continue. A new<br />

pedestrian and vehicle bridge was therefore built across the Alna River to make<br />

the trail safer and the waterfall more accessible. The new bridge is established<br />

as an attractive meeting point, with b<strong>en</strong>ches and an observation point. To make<br />

the waterfall ev<strong>en</strong> more accessible, we built an op<strong>en</strong> space downstream where<br />

the public can feel the rush of the water from the waterfall. Upstream, the trail<br />

was upgraded. Here a footpath was established on both sides of the river to<br />

supplem<strong>en</strong>t the main, universally accessible, route (the p<strong>av</strong>em<strong>en</strong>t).<br />

I 1970-år<strong>en</strong>e ble Leirfoss<strong>en</strong>, <strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> øvre Alnas største fosser, skjult<br />

bak <strong>en</strong> betongdemning. I april 2011 ble Leirfoss<strong>en</strong> åpnet. Samtidig<br />

som foss<strong>en</strong> ble åpnet, ble <strong>og</strong>så deler <strong>av</strong> turvei D9 oppgradert, slik at<br />

tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelighet<strong>en</strong> til foss<strong>en</strong> er bedre.<br />

Leirfoss<strong>en</strong> var ikke bare lukket, d<strong>en</strong> var <strong>og</strong>så vanskelig å komme<br />

nær, <strong>og</strong> turgåere langs D9 måtte krysse <strong>en</strong> tr<strong>av</strong>el bilvei for å komme<br />

videre. Mellom Gangstuvei<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> Grorudvei<strong>en</strong> er det derfor bygd <strong>en</strong><br />

ny gang- <strong>og</strong> kjørebru over Alnaelva, som gjør turvei<strong>en</strong> tryggere <strong>og</strong><br />

mer tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelig. D<strong>en</strong> nye brua er etablert som et flott møtested med<br />

b<strong>en</strong>ker <strong>og</strong> et utkikkspunkt. For å gjøre foss<strong>en</strong> <strong>en</strong>da mer tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelig<br />

har vi nedstrøms bygd et amfi (<strong>en</strong> plass) hvor man kan kj<strong>en</strong>ne<br />

bruset fra foss<strong>en</strong>. Til amfiet er det anlagt <strong>en</strong> 2,5 meter bred turvei<br />

fra Gangstuvei<strong>en</strong>. Oppstrøms er turvei<strong>en</strong> mellom Sagstuvei<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong><br />

Leirfoss<strong>en</strong> oppgradert. Her er det anlagt tursti på begge sider <strong>av</strong><br />

elva. Dette er smale turstier som supplerer hovedtrase<strong>en</strong> (fortauet),<br />

som er universelt tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelig. Midtveis er det anlagt <strong>en</strong> lit<strong>en</strong> terskel<br />

(<strong>en</strong> minibru), slik at man selv kan velge hvilk<strong>en</strong> side <strong>av</strong> elva man vil<br />

gå på. I dette nakne anleggsområdet er det plantet flere trær.<br />

Oppgradering<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> turvei<strong>en</strong> har vært et samarbeidsprosjekt mellom<br />

Bymiljøetat<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> Vann- <strong>og</strong> <strong>av</strong>løpsetat<strong>en</strong>. Med oppgradering<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong><br />

turvei D9 er det nå blitt <strong>en</strong> samm<strong>en</strong>h<strong>en</strong>g<strong>en</strong>de, trygg <strong>og</strong> nær turvei<br />

langs Alna i Leirfoss<strong>en</strong>-området.<br />

Gre<strong>en</strong>way A3 through the English Park<br />

Gre<strong>en</strong>way A3 tr<strong>av</strong>erses the English Park (also known as Skøy<strong>en</strong>park<strong>en</strong>). This<br />

trail is an important transport artery and recreational facility for the district’s<br />

inhabitants. The new trail is 750 metres long and runs through a valuable natural<br />

area along the hollow in Skøy<strong>en</strong>bekk<strong>en</strong>, where there are large, old deciduous<br />

trees and abundant birdlife. We installed a park b<strong>en</strong>ch here to allow people to<br />

sit and experi<strong>en</strong>ce this beauty spot. We also cleared some of the park vegetation<br />

to allow the marvellous trees come into their own right and to give them better<br />

growing conditions. One of the park’s two bridges was dismantled and rebuilt.<br />

The existing dam had fall<strong>en</strong> into disrepair and the upstream pond had receded.<br />

A new concrete wall was poured outside the existing one. The natural stone wall<br />

downstream was dismantled and some stones reused. Wrought-iron railing was<br />

installed along both the bridge and the dam.<br />

Deler <strong>av</strong> turvei A3 er oppgradert. Turvei A3 går gj<strong>en</strong>nom D<strong>en</strong><br />

<strong>en</strong>gelske park (Skøy<strong>en</strong>park<strong>en</strong>) <strong>og</strong> er <strong>en</strong> viktig forbindelse vestover<br />

til Mærradalsbekk<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> Husebysk<strong>og</strong><strong>en</strong>. Turvei<strong>en</strong> har stor betydning<br />

som transportåre <strong>og</strong> som rekreasjonstilbud for bydel<strong>en</strong>s beboere.<br />

D<strong>en</strong> <strong>en</strong>gelske park ble anlagt i 1860-år<strong>en</strong>e. De eksister<strong>en</strong>de sti<strong>en</strong>e<br />

gj<strong>en</strong>nom park<strong>en</strong> var i perioder gjørmete, <strong>og</strong> de er nå oppgradert til<br />

turvei med <strong>en</strong> bredde på to meter.<br />

D<strong>en</strong> nye turvei<strong>en</strong> er 750 meter lang <strong>og</strong> fortsetter gj<strong>en</strong>nom et verdifullt<br />

naturområde langs Skøy<strong>en</strong>bekk<strong>en</strong>s dalsøkk hvor det er store,<br />

gamle løvtrær <strong>og</strong> et yr<strong>en</strong>de fugleliv. Her har vi lagt til rette for <strong>en</strong><br />

b<strong>en</strong>keplass, slik at man kan sitte <strong>og</strong> oppleve d<strong>en</strong>ne naturperl<strong>en</strong>. I<br />

tillegg har vi ryddet noe vegetasjon i park<strong>en</strong> for å få fram de flotte<br />

trærne <strong>og</strong> gi dem bedre vekstvilkår.<br />

D<strong>en</strong> <strong>en</strong>e <strong>av</strong> park<strong>en</strong>s to bruer ble revet <strong>og</strong> gj<strong>en</strong>oppbygd i samråd<br />

med Byantikvar<strong>en</strong>. Eksister<strong>en</strong>de demning var <strong>og</strong>så ødelagt, <strong>og</strong><br />

vannspeilet oppstrøms var borte. En ny betongmur ble støpt ut<strong>en</strong>på<br />

d<strong>en</strong> eksister<strong>en</strong>de betongmur<strong>en</strong>. Natursteinsmur<strong>en</strong> nedstrøms ble<br />

demontert, <strong>og</strong> steiner ble gj<strong>en</strong>brukt. Oppstrøms er det anlagt nytt<br />

vannspeil. Sørlandsrekkverk er montert på både bru <strong>og</strong> demning.<br />

Gre<strong>en</strong>way A5 at Huk<br />

The Bygdøy p<strong>en</strong>insula has a large network of recreational trails, but it lacked<br />

a section at the southern tip to make it possible to walk around the whole of<br />

Bygdøy. With the new 360-metre-long trail from the nudist beach at Huk to<br />

Grandevei<strong>en</strong>, trails A5 and B1 are connected, making a round trip of Bygdøy<br />

possible. The trail was developed as a basic gr<strong>av</strong>el path, 2 metres wide, edged<br />

with large cobblestones in some sections. The trail was developed with as<br />

little <strong>en</strong>vironm<strong>en</strong>tal intrusion as possible. Attempts were made to preserve<br />

the existing trees and other valuable vegetation. H<strong>en</strong>ce, the gre<strong>en</strong>way was<br />

constructed on top of the terrain so as to spare the roots of old, large trees.<br />

Several steps were tak<strong>en</strong> to protect the abundant biol<strong>og</strong>ical diversity in Huk;<br />

among other things, we thinned sections of the area to op<strong>en</strong> them up and give<br />

more sunlight to a calcareous dry meadow. The aim is that the rare vegetation<br />

in the meadow will spread all the way in towards the trail.<br />

På Bygdøy er det et stort nett <strong>av</strong> fine turveier, m<strong>en</strong> det manglet <strong>en</strong><br />

lit<strong>en</strong> bit på sørspiss<strong>en</strong> for å få til <strong>en</strong> rundtur rundt hele Bygdøy.<br />

Med d<strong>en</strong> nye 360 meter lange turvei<strong>en</strong> fra naturiststranda på Huk<br />

til Grandevei<strong>en</strong> er de to turvei<strong>en</strong>e A5 <strong>og</strong> B1 knyttet samm<strong>en</strong> – <strong>og</strong><br />

rundtur på Bygdøy er dermed mulig.<br />

Turvei<strong>en</strong> er opparbeidet som <strong>en</strong> <strong>en</strong>kel grusvei i to meters bredde<br />

med kant <strong>av</strong> storgatestein på deler <strong>av</strong> strekning<strong>en</strong>. Vei<strong>en</strong> er anlagt<br />

med så små inngrep som mulig. Eksister<strong>en</strong>de trær <strong>og</strong> ann<strong>en</strong> verdifull<br />

vegetasjon er forsøkt bevart. Eksempelvis har vi lagt turvei<strong>en</strong> oppå<br />

terr<strong>en</strong>get for å skåne røtt<strong>en</strong>e til gamle, store trær.<br />

Det er gjort flere tiltak for å sikre det rike biol<strong>og</strong>iske mangfoldet på<br />

Huk. D<strong>en</strong> introduserte art<strong>en</strong> russekål er forsøkt bekjempet. I tillegg<br />

har vi tynnet buskas <strong>og</strong> ann<strong>en</strong> l<strong>av</strong> vegetasjon på deler <strong>av</strong> området for<br />

å åpne opp <strong>og</strong> bedre lysforholdet for <strong>en</strong> kalktørr<strong>en</strong>g. Målet er at d<strong>en</strong><br />

sjeldne vegetasjon<strong>en</strong> på <strong>en</strong>ga skal spre seg helt inn mot turvei<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Bygging<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> d<strong>en</strong> nye turveibit<strong>en</strong> er et prioritert tiltak i<br />

rehabiliteringsplan<strong>en</strong> for Huk. Det er et flott naturområde <strong>av</strong><br />

meget høy verdi, som nå er blitt tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelig for publikum. En<br />

sanseopplevelse for både øye, nese, munn, på det vakre Bygdøy.<br />

Fådpassasj<strong>en</strong>, Lysaker River<br />

The Lysaker River is 8 kilometres long and forms the boundary line betwe<strong>en</strong> the<br />

municipalities of <strong>Oslo</strong> and Bærum. The river has perhaps <strong>Oslo</strong>’s most rugged<br />

and most sc<strong>en</strong>ic landscape, but the trail is not as accessible as along the widely<br />

used Aker River. The greatest chall<strong>en</strong>ge along the Lysaker River is Jarfylling<strong>en</strong>,<br />

a huge <strong>en</strong>rockm<strong>en</strong>t over the Lysaker River created in 1922 to make way for the<br />

metro line. The construction of the underpass (culvert) through Jarfylling<strong>en</strong><br />

means that users will <strong>av</strong>oid h<strong>av</strong>ing to cross the road in order to continue their<br />

river walk. Many crossing alternatives for going over, under and through the<br />

<strong>en</strong>rockm<strong>en</strong>t were considered. It was finally decided to run a 38-metre steel pipe<br />

culvert through the <strong>en</strong>rockm<strong>en</strong>t. The underpass is situated at a point where the<br />

routes for the tram, metro and Bærumsvei<strong>en</strong> road run. In addition, the work on<br />

upgrading the trail on both sides of the culvert has begun. This project involves<br />

working on extremely steep terrain, and a total of 1.5 kilometres of gre<strong>en</strong>way is<br />

under developm<strong>en</strong>t. The final result will be a contiguous gre<strong>en</strong>way along the<br />

Lysaker River.<br />

Lysakerelva r<strong>en</strong>ner åtte kilometer fra B<strong>og</strong>stadvannet <strong>og</strong> ned til<br />

fjord<strong>en</strong>. Elva er gr<strong>en</strong>seelv mellom <strong>Oslo</strong> <strong>og</strong> Bærum. Elva har kanskje<br />

<strong>Oslo</strong>s viltreste <strong>og</strong> vakreste landskap, m<strong>en</strong> turvei<strong>en</strong> her er ikke like<br />

tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelig som for Akerselva. Hovedutfordring<strong>en</strong> langs Lysakerelva<br />

er Jarfylling<strong>en</strong>, <strong>en</strong> stor steinfylling over Lysakerelva anlagt i 1922 for<br />

at T-ban<strong>en</strong> kunne komme fram. Allerede d<strong>en</strong> gang<strong>en</strong> møtte fylling<strong>en</strong><br />

protester, m<strong>en</strong> d<strong>en</strong> skulle bestå helt til 2010.<br />

Med bygging<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> undergang<strong>en</strong> (kulvert<strong>en</strong>) gj<strong>en</strong>nom Jarfylling<strong>en</strong><br />

slipper turgåere å krysse bilvei<strong>en</strong>. D<strong>en</strong> nye undergang<strong>en</strong> har fått<br />

n<strong>av</strong>net Fådpassasj<strong>en</strong> etter det gamle n<strong>av</strong>net på Lysakerelva, Fåd<br />

eller Fod, som betyr gr<strong>en</strong>se. Mange alternative krysninger ble<br />

vurdert, både over, under <strong>og</strong> gj<strong>en</strong>nom fylling<strong>en</strong>. Valgt løsning ble <strong>en</strong><br />

stålrørskulvert på 38 meter tvers gj<strong>en</strong>nom fylling<strong>en</strong>. Undergang<strong>en</strong><br />

ligger der trikk, T-bane <strong>og</strong> Bærumsvei<strong>en</strong> går, <strong>og</strong> <strong>Oslo</strong> <strong>kommune</strong> <strong>og</strong><br />

Bærum <strong>kommune</strong> har samarbeidet om å få til d<strong>en</strong>ne forbindels<strong>en</strong>.<br />

I tillegg er arbeidet med oppgradering <strong>av</strong> turvei<strong>en</strong> påbegynt på<br />

hver side <strong>av</strong> kulvert<strong>en</strong>. Arbeidet foregår i et svært bratt terr<strong>en</strong>g <strong>og</strong><br />

omfatter blant annet oppgradering <strong>av</strong> utvalgte deler <strong>av</strong> tursti<strong>en</strong><br />

samt <strong>en</strong> eller to h<strong>en</strong>gebruer i tre. Vi skal oppgradere til samm<strong>en</strong> 1,5<br />

kilometer tursti til nærmere 2 meter brede grusveier for å forbedre<br />

framkommelighet<strong>en</strong>. Resultatet skal bli <strong>en</strong> samm<strong>en</strong>h<strong>en</strong>g<strong>en</strong>de turvei<br />

langs Lysakerelva.<br />

Gre<strong>en</strong>way E13 at Ljanskoll<strong>en</strong><br />

Sections of the E13 Gre<strong>en</strong>way by the fjord h<strong>av</strong>e be<strong>en</strong> upgraded to universally<br />

accessible trails. The old trail was in a bad state; the vegetation was so d<strong>en</strong>se<br />

in some sections that it was impossible to see the sea, despite being so close<br />

to it. There were few b<strong>en</strong>ches for seating, and the steep slopes made access for<br />

wheelchair users difficult. The trail surface has be<strong>en</strong> made harder and more<br />

level to improve accessibility, and guide lines h<strong>av</strong>e be<strong>en</strong> installed along the<br />

route. The gradi<strong>en</strong>ts of the slopes h<strong>av</strong>e be<strong>en</strong> reduced so that they do not exceed<br />

1:15; i.e. the gradi<strong>en</strong>t of the trail is only 1 metre for every 15 metres in l<strong>en</strong>gth. A<br />

universally designed gre<strong>en</strong>way must h<strong>av</strong>e rest stops along the way, and this is<br />

the reason why sections with no gradi<strong>en</strong>t were inserted at the side of the trail<br />

and why more b<strong>en</strong>ches were provided. Furthermore, the new design has also<br />

provided five accessible parking spaces. Almost 2 kilometres of trail h<strong>av</strong>e now<br />

be<strong>en</strong> made universally accessible. This upgrade has giv<strong>en</strong> all users, including<br />

the visually impaired and wheelchairs users, greater access to the sea in an area<br />

that is every bit as beautiful as its more famous counterpart, Bygdøy.<br />

Deler <strong>av</strong> turvei E13 ved Ljanskoll<strong>en</strong> er oppgradert til å bli universelt<br />

tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelige. D<strong>en</strong> gamle turvei<strong>en</strong> kunne være <strong>en</strong> våt fornøyelse<br />

<strong>og</strong> så mer ut som <strong>en</strong> sti. Mange steder var det så tett vegetasjon<br />

at man ikke kunne se sjø<strong>en</strong> selv om man gikk like ved. Det var få<br />

b<strong>en</strong>ker langs turvei<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> bratte bakker som gjorde det vanskelig for<br />

rullestolbrukere.<br />

Det er nest<strong>en</strong> to kilometer med turvei som nå er universelt<br />

tilrettelagt. Turvei<strong>en</strong>s overflate er hardere <strong>og</strong> jevnere for bedre<br />

framkommelighet, <strong>og</strong> det er laget ledelinjer langs turvei<strong>en</strong>. Bakker<br />

er gjort slakere, slik at turvei<strong>en</strong>s stigning ikke overstiger 1:15, dvs. at<br />

turvei<strong>en</strong> etter 15 meter har <strong>en</strong> stigning på kun 1 meter. En universelt<br />

tilrettelagt turvei må ha hvilepunkter underveis, <strong>og</strong> dette er årsak<strong>en</strong><br />

til at det er anlagt reposer (partier ut<strong>en</strong> stigning) <strong>og</strong> utplassert flere<br />

b<strong>en</strong>ker underveis. Videre innebærer tilrettelegging<strong>en</strong> at det er anlagt<br />

fem HC-parkeringsplasser på p-plass<strong>en</strong> l<strong>en</strong>gst sør, <strong>og</strong> at det er bygd<br />

asfaltert vei ned fra parkering<strong>en</strong> til badeplass<strong>en</strong> i Hverv<strong>en</strong>bukta.<br />

Alle sti<strong>en</strong>e som fører ned til sjø<strong>en</strong> fra turvei<strong>en</strong>, er dessut<strong>en</strong> integrert<br />

langs turvei<strong>en</strong> ved <strong>en</strong> trapp eller ”inngang”. Tilrettelegging på<br />

d<strong>en</strong>ne måt<strong>en</strong> inviterer til bruk <strong>og</strong> skåner natur<strong>en</strong> for unødig slitasje.<br />

Oppgradering<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> turvei<strong>en</strong> har gitt alle brukere, <strong>og</strong>så svaksynte <strong>og</strong><br />

publikum med rullestol eller barnev<strong>og</strong>n, bedre tilgang til sjø<strong>en</strong> i det<br />

som kan kalles <strong>Oslo</strong> sørs Bygdøy.<br />

Turvei<strong>en</strong> er plassert slik at man kan fortsette tur<strong>en</strong> langs<br />

gang- <strong>og</strong> sykkelvei<strong>en</strong> som kommer fra Fiskevoll<strong>en</strong>, <strong>og</strong> videre<br />

langs Ljansbrukvei<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> Gamle Mossevei. På d<strong>en</strong>ne måt<strong>en</strong><br />

har vi tilrettelagt for <strong>en</strong> rundtur rundt Ljanskoll<strong>en</strong>.<br />

The route of the gre<strong>en</strong>way is such that users can continue on<br />

the foot and bicycle path, thus making possible a round trip<br />

around Ljanskoll<strong>en</strong>.


Turvei E6, Lambertseter<br />

Gre<strong>en</strong>way E6 at Lambertseter<br />

A 700-metre-long gre<strong>en</strong>way was built in the natural area by the Abildsø<br />

tollbooth. One of the distinctive features of this project is how well the gre<strong>en</strong>way<br />

has be<strong>en</strong> integrated with the terrain so that the impact on vegetation was kept<br />

to a minimum. Consequ<strong>en</strong>tly, one of the biggest chall<strong>en</strong>ges in the project<br />

was to find the right route. The gre<strong>en</strong>way is 2 metres wide and tr<strong>av</strong>erses two<br />

footbridges. Since it was built as carefully as possible, it was necessary to make<br />

some adjustm<strong>en</strong>ts after stormwater so that precipitation did not wash away the<br />

gr<strong>av</strong>el. Instead of digging out ditches and laying pipes under the trail, wood<strong>en</strong><br />

channels h<strong>av</strong>e be<strong>en</strong> installed to lead the water across the road. This repres<strong>en</strong>ts<br />

a less harmful impact on the <strong>en</strong>vironm<strong>en</strong>t. The area was an important site for<br />

ski jumping in <strong>Oslo</strong>. This is where Bekkelagsbakk<strong>en</strong>e ski jumps once stood.<br />

To r<strong>en</strong>der this piece of local history visible we erected a cultural heritage site<br />

signpost along the trail. The new gre<strong>en</strong>way, not far from the E6 motorway, one<br />

of the country’s busiest roads, has become a wonderful natural area where the<br />

public can wander under a woodland canopy.<br />

038 Grønne investeringer Turveier<br />

I naturområdet ved Abildsø bomstasjon er det bygd <strong>en</strong> 700 meter<br />

lang turvei. Noe <strong>av</strong> det særegne med prosjektet er hvor mye turvei<strong>en</strong><br />

innordner seg terr<strong>en</strong>get, slik at det er gjort minst mulig inngrep i<br />

vegetasjon<strong>en</strong>. En <strong>av</strong> de største utfordring<strong>en</strong>e med prosjektet var<br />

derfor å finne riktig trasé til turvei<strong>en</strong>. Turvei<strong>en</strong> er anlagt i to meters<br />

bredde <strong>og</strong> går over to klopper. I nord er det laget <strong>en</strong> lit<strong>en</strong> plass med<br />

sitteb<strong>en</strong>k. Sid<strong>en</strong> turvei<strong>en</strong> er bygd så forsiktig som mulig, har det<br />

vært nødv<strong>en</strong>dig å gjøre justeringer i etterkant <strong>av</strong> overvannet, slik<br />

at nedbør ikke vasker bort grus<strong>en</strong>. Slike justeringer er gjort etter<br />

at vei<strong>en</strong> har satt seg <strong>og</strong> man har erfart hvordan <strong>av</strong>r<strong>en</strong>ning<strong>en</strong> fra<br />

landskapet påvirker turvei<strong>en</strong>. I stedet for å gr<strong>av</strong>e <strong>og</strong> legge grøft med<br />

rør under turvei<strong>en</strong>, er det laget vannr<strong>en</strong>ner i tre som leder vannet<br />

over vei<strong>en</strong>. Dette er et mer forsiktig inngrep i natur<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Vi har <strong>og</strong>så vært opptatt <strong>av</strong> bedre søppelhåndtering. Hage<strong>av</strong>fall er<br />

fjernet til fordel for <strong>en</strong> b<strong>en</strong>k, <strong>og</strong> i byggeperiod<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> i de påfølg<strong>en</strong>de<br />

år<strong>en</strong>e bestilte vi ekstra søppelhåndtering for å s<strong>en</strong>de signaler om<br />

hva slags standard vi ønsket for området. Dette grøntområdet var<br />

fra slutt<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> 1920-år<strong>en</strong>e <strong>og</strong> helt fram til 1970-år<strong>en</strong>e et viktig sted for<br />

hoppsport<strong>en</strong> i <strong>Oslo</strong>. Her lå Bekkelagsbakk<strong>en</strong>e, eller «Ungdomm<strong>en</strong>s<br />

Holm<strong>en</strong>koll<strong>en</strong>», hvor det ble arrangert hoppkonkurranser for barn<br />

<strong>og</strong> unge. For å synliggjøre lokalhistori<strong>en</strong> har vi derfor satt ut et<br />

kulturminneskilt langs turvei<strong>en</strong>. D<strong>en</strong> nye turvei<strong>en</strong>, no<strong>en</strong> steinkast fra<br />

E6, er blitt et flott naturområde hvor man kan spasere med sk<strong>og</strong><strong>en</strong><br />

som tak, <strong>og</strong> hvor turvei<strong>en</strong> nynner med i landskapet <strong>og</strong> inviterer til<br />

naturopplevelse.<br />

Lekeanlegg<br />

Lek er livsviktig for alle barn. Barn leker overalt hele tid<strong>en</strong> om de<br />

får anledning til det. Gj<strong>en</strong>nom lek<strong>en</strong> lærer barn å vise omsorg <strong>og</strong> ta<br />

h<strong>en</strong>syn til andre. De utvikler språk gj<strong>en</strong>nom å forhandle med andre<br />

barn i lek<strong>en</strong>, <strong>og</strong> de utvikler motorikk.<br />

I <strong>Oslo</strong> <strong>kommune</strong> er det lange tradisjoner for å anlegge plasser som<br />

er spesielt tilrettelagt for barns lek. Lekeanlegg kan planlegges <strong>og</strong><br />

utformes på forskjellig vis. Som oftest er det et mål at de skal gi<br />

sp<strong>en</strong>ning <strong>og</strong> varierte utfordringer gj<strong>en</strong>nom fysisk utfoldelse. Når<br />

kommun<strong>en</strong> tilrettelegger <strong>og</strong> bygger lekeanlegg, er disse gjerne <strong>en</strong><br />

del <strong>av</strong> et større park- <strong>og</strong> rekreasjonsområde. De er <strong>en</strong> viktig del <strong>av</strong><br />

det off<strong>en</strong>tlige rekreasjonstilbudet <strong>og</strong> har <strong>og</strong>så stor betydning som<br />

sosiale møteplasser for by<strong>en</strong>s innbyggere. For barnefamili<strong>en</strong>e vil<br />

lekeplass<strong>en</strong> ofte være ”magnet<strong>en</strong>” i park<strong>en</strong> eller målet for utflukt<strong>en</strong>.<br />

I dette kapitlet omtaler vi tre lekeanlegg. Dette betyr ikke at vi ikke<br />

bygger flere lekeanlegg. Som regel er lekeapparater <strong>en</strong> del <strong>av</strong> <strong>en</strong><br />

park, slik for eksempel Furuset kulturpark eller Tveitapark<strong>en</strong> viser.<br />

M<strong>en</strong> her pres<strong>en</strong>terer vi anlegg<strong>en</strong>e hvor lek<strong>en</strong> – <strong>og</strong> barna – spiller<br />

hovedroll<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Play facilities<br />

Play is vital for childr<strong>en</strong>. Child<strong>en</strong> will play anywhere and<br />

anytime wh<strong>en</strong> first giv<strong>en</strong> the opportunity. Through play they<br />

learn to care for and show consideration to others. They develop<br />

their language skills through negotiating with other childr<strong>en</strong><br />

and develop their motoric skills.<br />

The City of <strong>Oslo</strong> has a long tradition in providing spaces that are<br />

specially adapted for childr<strong>en</strong> and play. Play facilities can be<br />

planned and designed in differ<strong>en</strong>t ways. Most oft<strong>en</strong> the aim is<br />

to provide childr<strong>en</strong> with exciting and varied chall<strong>en</strong>ges through<br />

physical activity. Wh<strong>en</strong> the municipality plans and builds play<br />

installations, these are oft<strong>en</strong> part of larger park and recreational<br />

areas. They are an important elem<strong>en</strong>t in public recreational<br />

facilities and also h<strong>av</strong>e considerable significance as social<br />

meeting places for the city’s inhabitants. For families with<br />

young childr<strong>en</strong>, play areas will oft<strong>en</strong> be the “magnet” in a<br />

park or the destination for a day out.<br />

Three play facilities are pres<strong>en</strong>ted in this brochure. This does<br />

not mean that we are not building more: playground equipm<strong>en</strong>t<br />

usually constitutes one elem<strong>en</strong>t of a park, as is the case with<br />

Furuset Cultural Park and Tveita Park. But here we h<strong>av</strong>e chos<strong>en</strong><br />

to pres<strong>en</strong>t installations where play – and childr<strong>en</strong> – h<strong>av</strong>e the<br />

leading role.<br />

Veitvet Park<br />

Veitvet Park is situated in the c<strong>en</strong>tre of Veitvet, and Gre<strong>en</strong>way D6 tr<strong>av</strong>erses<br />

the park. The rehabilitation project consisted of three parts: the park should<br />

be upgraded, the playground expanded and a barbecue area installed. We<br />

wanted to create a play area that allowed for self-expression rather than prepr<strong>og</strong>rammed<br />

forms of play and that would put childr<strong>en</strong> in touch with natural<br />

materials. Many of the elem<strong>en</strong>ts in the park are therefore made from wood.<br />

The new playground has rubber surfacing to <strong>en</strong>able better accessibility by<br />

wheelchair users. The upright poles around the existing playground h<strong>av</strong>e<br />

multiple functions: they keep the shock-absorb<strong>en</strong>t underlay in place and serve<br />

as seats and balancing beams for childr<strong>en</strong>. The oak sculptures designed by the<br />

Danish artist H<strong>en</strong>rik Anders<strong>en</strong> make the installation a kind of Vigeland Park for<br />

childr<strong>en</strong>. First and foremost, the park was installed for the local inhabitants and<br />

for childr<strong>en</strong> and youth in particular, but it will also be a pleasant discovery to<br />

everyone using the gre<strong>en</strong>way.<br />

Veitvetpark<strong>en</strong> er plassert s<strong>en</strong>tralt på Veitvet, <strong>og</strong> turvei D6 går<br />

gj<strong>en</strong>nom park<strong>en</strong>. Veitvetpark<strong>en</strong> var relativt forfall<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> gj<strong>en</strong>grodd.<br />

Rehabilitering<strong>en</strong> var tredelt: Park<strong>en</strong> skulle rustes opp, lekeplass<strong>en</strong><br />

skulle utvides, <strong>og</strong> grillplass skulle anlegges.<br />

Vi har ønsket å skape et lekeområde som skaper rom for utfoldelse<br />

mer <strong>en</strong>n ferdigpr<strong>og</strong>rammert lek – <strong>og</strong> som gir barna kontakt med<br />

naturlige materialer. Mange <strong>av</strong> park<strong>en</strong>s elem<strong>en</strong>ter er derfor lagd<br />

<strong>av</strong> trær. D<strong>en</strong> nye lekeplass<strong>en</strong> har gummidekke for å gi bedre<br />

tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelighet for rullestoler. De stå<strong>en</strong>de stokk<strong>en</strong>e rundt d<strong>en</strong><br />

eksister<strong>en</strong>de lekeplass<strong>en</strong> har flere funksjoner: De skal holde det<br />

støtdemp<strong>en</strong>de underlaget på plass, fungere som sittekant eller være<br />

<strong>en</strong> kant som barna kan balansere <strong>og</strong> løpe på. Flere eikeskulpturer –<br />

utformet <strong>av</strong> d<strong>en</strong> danske kunstner<strong>en</strong> H<strong>en</strong>rik Anders<strong>en</strong> – gjør anlegget<br />

til <strong>en</strong> «Vigelandspark for barn». Sid<strong>en</strong> park<strong>en</strong> ligger i tilknytning til<br />

Veitvet skole, er det bygd <strong>en</strong> tursti fra SFO-bygget til turvei D6. Dette<br />

for å bedre tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelighet<strong>en</strong> fra skol<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> boligområdet til turvei<strong>en</strong>.<br />

En bålplass er anlagt med bålfat <strong>og</strong> brede sittestokker rundt<br />

som et tilbud til skoler <strong>og</strong> et samlingssted for beboerne. En<br />

sandvolleyballbane (opparbeidet <strong>av</strong> d<strong>av</strong>ær<strong>en</strong>de Idrettsetat<strong>en</strong>) <strong>og</strong><br />

nye fastgriller med sitteb<strong>en</strong>ker <strong>av</strong> kraftige almestokker er <strong>og</strong>så del<br />

<strong>av</strong> anlegget, samt statuer som Ol<strong>av</strong> Selvaag donerte til befolkning<strong>en</strong><br />

etter åpning<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> Veitvet s<strong>en</strong>ter, blant annet «Gutt med konkylie».<br />

Sneglehuset Activity Park<br />

Betwe<strong>en</strong> 1959 and 1969 Romm<strong>en</strong>sletta was a massive landfill that received<br />

waste from the whole of <strong>Oslo</strong>. After the landfill was closed, the plain was<br />

transformed into a gre<strong>en</strong> space. In 2009 the Sneglehuset Activity Park<br />

op<strong>en</strong>ed on Romm<strong>en</strong>sletta, offering childr<strong>en</strong> several opportunities for play and<br />

developm<strong>en</strong>t: balance boards, climbing poles, balancing circuit, watch towers,<br />

slides, etc. Because the installation is situated on a former landfill, consideration<br />

had to be giv<strong>en</strong> to seeping gas and weight constraints. Part of the project was<br />

to rehabilitate a gr<strong>av</strong>el pitch and build a new section of the D10 Gre<strong>en</strong>way<br />

(Alna Trail). Sneglehuset Activity Park is just the first step in the transformation<br />

of Romm<strong>en</strong>sletta; Stovner District has commissioned the Ag<strong>en</strong>cy for Urban<br />

Environm<strong>en</strong>t to outline a project on how the activity park can be incorporated<br />

into a new park consisting of three sections, in which the activity park would<br />

constitute the play and activities section. There are also plans to build a nature<br />

park and a park for recreation and rest.<br />

Fra 1959 til 1969 var Romm<strong>en</strong>sletta <strong>en</strong> stor søppelfylling som mottok<br />

søppel fra hele <strong>Oslo</strong>. Etter at fylling<strong>en</strong> ble nedlagt, ble sletta omgjort<br />

til grøntområde.<br />

I 2009 åpnet Sneglehuset aktivitetspark, som ligger sør på<br />

Romm<strong>en</strong>sletta. Aktivitetspark<strong>en</strong> har fått n<strong>av</strong>net på grunn <strong>av</strong> <strong>en</strong><br />

terr<strong>en</strong>gform inspirert <strong>av</strong> et sneglehus (spirallign<strong>en</strong>de form i øret).<br />

Park<strong>en</strong> gir barna mange muligheter for lek <strong>og</strong> utfoldelse – her er det<br />

balanseplater, klatrestokker, balansebane, utkikkstårn, sklie m.m.<br />

Sid<strong>en</strong> anlegget ligger oppå <strong>en</strong> gammel søppelfylling, måtte vi ta<br />

h<strong>en</strong>syn til siving <strong>av</strong> gass <strong>og</strong> vektbegr<strong>en</strong>sninger i arbeidet.<br />

Del <strong>av</strong> prosjektet var å rehabilitere <strong>en</strong> grusbane <strong>og</strong> bygge <strong>en</strong><br />

ny strekning <strong>av</strong> turvei D10 (Alnasti<strong>en</strong>), slik at turveinettet på<br />

Romm<strong>en</strong>sletta er knyttet samm<strong>en</strong> med turvei<strong>en</strong> fra Haug<strong>en</strong>port<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Sneglehuset er bare første kapittel i Romm<strong>en</strong>slettas forvandling.<br />

På oppdrag fra Bydel Stovner har Bymiljøetat<strong>en</strong> utarbeidet et<br />

skisseprosjekt for hvordan Sneglehuset kan inngå i <strong>en</strong> ny park som<br />

består <strong>av</strong> tre deler. Sneglehuset er leke- <strong>og</strong> aktivitetsdel<strong>en</strong>. I tillegg<br />

er det planer om <strong>en</strong> naturpark <strong>og</strong> <strong>en</strong> park for rekreasjon <strong>og</strong> ro.<br />

Fr<strong>og</strong>ner Castle Playground<br />

Fr<strong>og</strong>nerborg<strong>en</strong> is Norway’s largest non-commercial playground installation.<br />

Importance was attached to making the playground accessible to everyone and<br />

to give childr<strong>en</strong> of all ages experi<strong>en</strong>ces and activity opportunities, regardless<br />

of their physical abilities. The installation has towers up to 7 metres high and<br />

is suitable for childr<strong>en</strong> betwe<strong>en</strong> three to twelve years of age. As many as two<br />

hundred childr<strong>en</strong> can slide, climb, hop and jump all at the same time. The circuit<br />

through the castle has rope bridges, slides, climbing frames and climbing<br />

ropes, and offers chall<strong>en</strong>ge for both the br<strong>av</strong>e at heart and the slightly more<br />

cautious. One section of the castle is specially adapted for wheelchair users, and<br />

the rubber surfacing underfoot is shock-absorb<strong>en</strong>t. The castle is also safe from<br />

another perspective – pollutants in the ground were removed. The fact that the<br />

installation resembles a castle alludes to its location on historical grounds close<br />

to Fr<strong>og</strong>ner Manor (Fr<strong>og</strong>ner hovedgård).<br />

Fr<strong>og</strong>nerborg<strong>en</strong> lekeplass i Fr<strong>og</strong>nerpark<strong>en</strong> erstatter lekebåt<strong>en</strong><br />

Mathea, som måtte rives på grunn <strong>av</strong> slitasje. Lekeplass<strong>en</strong> er<br />

Norges største ikke-kommersielle lekeanlegg. Vi har lagt vekt på<br />

at lekeplass<strong>en</strong> skal være tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelig for alle <strong>og</strong> gi barn i alle aldre<br />

opplevelser <strong>og</strong> aktivitetsmuligheter, uansett fysiske forutsetninger.<br />

Anlegget har tårn som er opptil sju meter høye <strong>og</strong> passer for unger<br />

fra tre til cirka tolv år. Så mange som to hundre unger kan rutsje,<br />

klatre, hoppe <strong>og</strong> turne samtidig – ut<strong>en</strong> at det blir trangt. Lekeløypa<br />

gj<strong>en</strong>nom borg<strong>en</strong> har både gyngebruer, sklier, klatrevegger <strong>og</strong><br />

klatretau. Her er utfordringer nok både for de modige <strong>og</strong> for de litt<br />

mer forsiktige. I tillegg til selve borg<strong>en</strong> er det lagd <strong>en</strong> firedobbel<br />

huske <strong>og</strong> <strong>en</strong> sandkasse med lekehus for de aller minste. Selv<br />

om borg<strong>en</strong> er høy <strong>og</strong> sp<strong>en</strong>n<strong>en</strong>de, er d<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong>så trygg <strong>og</strong> egnet til<br />

funksjonshemmede. En del <strong>av</strong> borg<strong>en</strong> er tilrettelagt spesielt for<br />

rullestolbrukere, <strong>og</strong> gummibelegget under lekeapparat<strong>en</strong>e er<br />

støtabsorber<strong>en</strong>de. Borg<strong>en</strong> er <strong>og</strong>så trygg <strong>av</strong> <strong>en</strong> ann<strong>en</strong> grunn – gamle<br />

forur<strong>en</strong>singer i grunn<strong>en</strong> er fjernet. At lekeplass<strong>en</strong> ser ut som <strong>en</strong><br />

borg, h<strong>en</strong>spiller på lekeplass<strong>en</strong>s plassering i et historisk anlegg i<br />

nærhet<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> Fr<strong>og</strong>ner hovedgård. Det er <strong>og</strong>så lagt til rette for opphold<br />

<strong>og</strong> samvær rundt borg<strong>en</strong> med blant annet fastgriller, bord <strong>og</strong> b<strong>en</strong>ker.<br />

Dette gjør anlegget attraktivt for foreldre <strong>og</strong> andre som er med barna<br />

sine, <strong>og</strong> et velegnet mål for utflukt <strong>og</strong> dagsturer.<br />

Badeplasser<br />

Langs fjord<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> elv<strong>en</strong>e <strong>og</strong> ved innsjøer <strong>og</strong> tjern byr <strong>Oslo</strong> på et utall<br />

badeplasser; fra urørte, små naturbadeplasser, som Ulsrudvann, til<br />

de store, kj<strong>en</strong>te ”badepark<strong>en</strong>e”, for eksempel Huk, Hverv<strong>en</strong>bukta <strong>og</strong><br />

Ingierstrand.<br />

Av alle friområd<strong>en</strong>e i <strong>Oslo</strong> er det badeplass<strong>en</strong>e som har d<strong>en</strong> høyeste<br />

tetthet<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> brukere – vel å merke på sommerdager med godt vær.<br />

Undersøkelser bekrefter <strong>og</strong>så at bading er <strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> de mest populære<br />

friluftslivsaktivitet<strong>en</strong>e.<br />

Publikum har mange ulike forv<strong>en</strong>tninger til de off<strong>en</strong>tlige<br />

badeplass<strong>en</strong>e, forv<strong>en</strong>tninger i form <strong>av</strong> bedre fasiliteter, som nye<br />

toaletter <strong>og</strong> b<strong>en</strong>ker, eller økt tilrettelegging for rullestolbrukere <strong>og</strong><br />

svaksynte. De siste år<strong>en</strong>e har vi gj<strong>en</strong>nomført flere investeringer<br />

for å imøtekomme no<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> disse forv<strong>en</strong>tning<strong>en</strong>e, for eksempel<br />

rehabilitering <strong>av</strong> stupetårnet på Ingierstrand <strong>og</strong> bygging <strong>av</strong> nye,<br />

moderne toaletter på Katt<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Bathing sites<br />

The fjord, rivers and lakes of <strong>Oslo</strong> host a myriad of bathing<br />

sites, from small, natural sites such as Ulsrudvann to the bigger<br />

and better-known “bathing parks” such as Huk, Hverv<strong>en</strong>bukta<br />

and Ingierstrand.<br />

Out of all the public outdoor recreation areas in <strong>Oslo</strong>, it is the<br />

bathing sites that account for the highest user d<strong>en</strong>sity – on<br />

summer days with good weather, that is. Surveys also confirm<br />

that bathing is one of the most popular recreational activities.<br />

The g<strong>en</strong>eral public has many differ<strong>en</strong>t expectations of how<br />

public bathing sites should be; from better am<strong>en</strong>ities such<br />

as new toilets and seat b<strong>en</strong>ches to improved accessibility for<br />

wheelchair users and the visually impaired. In rec<strong>en</strong>t years<br />

we h<strong>av</strong>e made several investm<strong>en</strong>ts to meet some of these<br />

expectations, such as rehabilitating the diving tower on the<br />

beach at Ingierstrand and building new and modern toilet<br />

facilities at Katt<strong>en</strong> Beach.<br />

St<strong>en</strong>srudtjern Beach<br />

St<strong>en</strong>srudtjern is a c<strong>en</strong>trally located beach in south-east <strong>Oslo</strong>. The objective<br />

was to make the beach more attractive and to accommodate greater biol<strong>og</strong>ical<br />

diversity. There are now more facilities in the form of seating offering views<br />

across the lake and a gr<strong>av</strong>elled barbecue site with a perman<strong>en</strong>t barbecue<br />

and seat b<strong>en</strong>ches. The varied plantation provides blossoming vegetation<br />

throughout the season. Running water provides a new experi<strong>en</strong>tial elem<strong>en</strong>t.<br />

Because the grass area was too wet to sit on during the spring and autumn,<br />

draining this area was part of the project. Some of the water that was drained<br />

away was collected in a “dry brook”, or a stream which can occasionally dry up.<br />

The dry brook is being used to test whether it is possible to combine drainage<br />

with greater biol<strong>og</strong>ical diversity and treatm<strong>en</strong>t of stormwater before it <strong>en</strong>ters<br />

the lake. The chall<strong>en</strong>ge with dry brooks is that there is not <strong>en</strong>ough water during<br />

the <strong>en</strong>tire season to fill them with water. Indig<strong>en</strong>ous flowers that can withstand<br />

both humid and arid climates h<strong>av</strong>e therefore be<strong>en</strong> planted here.<br />

St<strong>en</strong>srudtjern er <strong>en</strong> s<strong>en</strong>tral badeplass sørøst i <strong>Oslo</strong>, rett ved<br />

Enebakkvei<strong>en</strong>. Målet var å gjøre badeplass<strong>en</strong> mer attraktiv <strong>og</strong><br />

tilrettelegge for økt biol<strong>og</strong>isk mangfold. Etter oppgradering<strong>en</strong><br />

framstår hele anlegget som mer ryddig <strong>og</strong> attraktivt. Det er flere<br />

fasiliteter i form <strong>av</strong> tre sitteplasser med utsikt mot vannet <strong>og</strong> <strong>en</strong><br />

gruset grillplass med fastgrill <strong>og</strong> b<strong>en</strong>kebord. Variert beplantning<br />

sørger for blomstring gj<strong>en</strong>nom sesong<strong>en</strong>. Ikke minst er r<strong>en</strong>n<strong>en</strong>de<br />

vann tilført som et nytt opplevelseselem<strong>en</strong>t. Der det tidligere var<br />

<strong>en</strong> stor sandstrand, veksler det nå mellom sand <strong>og</strong> vegetasjon, slik<br />

at brukerne kan sitte litt skjermet på strand<strong>en</strong>. Hele gressarealet<br />

var både vår <strong>og</strong> høst for vått til å sitte på, med mange smådammer.<br />

Dr<strong>en</strong>ering <strong>av</strong> pl<strong>en</strong><strong>en</strong> var derfor del <strong>av</strong> prosjektet. Noe <strong>av</strong> vannet som<br />

er dr<strong>en</strong>ert bort fra pl<strong>en</strong>arealet, er samlet til <strong>en</strong> ”tørrbekk”, dvs. <strong>en</strong><br />

bekk som <strong>av</strong> <strong>og</strong> til kan gå tørr. Tørrbekk<strong>en</strong> er <strong>en</strong> test for å undersøke<br />

om det er mulig å kombinere dr<strong>en</strong>ering med økt biol<strong>og</strong>isk mangfold<br />

samt r<strong>en</strong>sing <strong>av</strong> overvannet før det går ut i tjernet. Utfordring<strong>en</strong> med<br />

tørrbekker er at det ikke er nok vann gj<strong>en</strong>nom hele sesong<strong>en</strong> til at<br />

r<strong>en</strong>na er fylt med vann. Her er det derfor plantet stedegne blomster<br />

som tåler både vått <strong>og</strong> tørt klima. Vi har opparbeidet <strong>en</strong> kjøresterk<br />

turvei fram til toalettbygget, slik at <strong>av</strong>fallsbil<strong>en</strong> ikke ødelegger vei<br />

<strong>og</strong> pl<strong>en</strong>. Videre vil nyplanting <strong>av</strong> trær på <strong>en</strong> voll langs vei<strong>en</strong> hindre<br />

uønsket innkjøring til badeplass<strong>en</strong>. For å tilrettelegge bedre for<br />

rullestolbrukere har vi jevnet sti<strong>en</strong> i sk<strong>og</strong><strong>en</strong>, <strong>og</strong> sitteb<strong>en</strong>ker har fått<br />

arml<strong>en</strong>er.<br />

Diving tower at Ingierstrand Beach<br />

The bathing complex at Ingierstrand was built in the early 1930s. The complex<br />

is one of the few examples of functionalist architecture in Norway and holds an<br />

iconic status almost on a par with Holm<strong>en</strong>koll<strong>en</strong>. Weather and salt water had<br />

caused the diving tower to corrode. Furthermore, over the years the tower had<br />

be<strong>en</strong> patched up so much that the design had become far removed from its<br />

original appearance. Thus, the objective for the complete rehabilitation was<br />

to prev<strong>en</strong>t rust and to restore the design of the tower to its original character.<br />

The rehabilitation work involved reinforcing the construction of the tower and<br />

protecting it from rust. Damaged concrete was removed and the construction<br />

was provided with additional reinforcem<strong>en</strong>t. Furthermore, the railings, ladder<br />

and steps were replaced and restored to their original appearance as far as this<br />

was possible to achieve. The wood materials were impregnated with an ecofri<strong>en</strong>dly<br />

sugar solution, and great importance was attached to the use of robust<br />

and durable materials.<br />

046 Grønne investeringer Badeplasser<br />

I 2010 åpnet Ingierstrand stupetårn etter et omfatt<strong>en</strong>de<br />

restaureringsarbeid. På grunn <strong>av</strong> sikkerhet<strong>en</strong> var deler <strong>av</strong><br />

stupetårnet i lang tid st<strong>en</strong>gt for publikum. Badeanlegget på<br />

Ingierstrand, som stupetårnet er del <strong>av</strong>, ble bygd tidlig i 1930-år<strong>en</strong>e<br />

<strong>og</strong> er omtalt som Fjord<strong>en</strong>s Fr<strong>og</strong>nerseter <strong>og</strong> selve symbolet på<br />

funksjonalisme. Anlegget, som er tegnet <strong>av</strong> arkitekt<strong>en</strong>e Ole Lind<br />

Schistad <strong>og</strong> Eivind Mostue, er <strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> få sjeldne eksempler på<br />

funksjonalistiske konstruksjoner i Norge.<br />

Stupetårnet var meget nedslitt <strong>og</strong> rust<strong>en</strong>t. Vær <strong>og</strong> saltvann hadde<br />

tæret hardt på konstruksjon<strong>en</strong>. I år<strong>en</strong>es løp hadde dessut<strong>en</strong><br />

stupetårnet blitt flikket eller lappet på, slik at tårnets utforming<br />

hadde fjernet seg fra sitt opprinnelige utse<strong>en</strong>de. Formålet med<br />

totalrehabilitering<strong>en</strong> var å hindre rust <strong>av</strong> konstruksjon<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong><br />

tilbakeføre tårnets utforming til opprinnelig uttrykk. Rehabilitering<strong>en</strong><br />

innebar at konstruksjon<strong>en</strong> på stupetårnet ble forsterket <strong>og</strong><br />

beskyttet mot rust. Skadet betong ble fjernet, <strong>og</strong> konstruksjon<strong>en</strong><br />

ble forsterket med ekstra armering. Videre ble rekkverk, stiger <strong>og</strong><br />

trapper skiftet ut <strong>og</strong> tilbakeført til opprinnelig utse<strong>en</strong>de så langt det<br />

var mulig. Trebrygga, både bærekonstruksjon <strong>og</strong> trebelegg, ble <strong>og</strong>så<br />

rehabilitert. Trematerial<strong>en</strong>e er miljøv<strong>en</strong>nlig impregnert – med sukker<br />

– <strong>og</strong> det har vært lagt stor vekt på at material<strong>en</strong>e er robuste, slik at<br />

de tåler mange års bruk. D<strong>en</strong> opprinnelige plattform<strong>en</strong>, ”1-meter<strong>en</strong>”,<br />

erstatter nå treplatting<strong>en</strong> som i <strong>en</strong> årrekke var festet til tårnet. Som<br />

prikk<strong>en</strong> over i-<strong>en</strong> er flaggstanga tilbake i topp<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> tårnet.<br />

Arbeidet er gj<strong>en</strong>nomført i nært samarbeid med Riksantikvar<strong>en</strong>. Noe <strong>av</strong> det mest utfordr<strong>en</strong>de har vært å rekonstruere tårnet<br />

til tross for svært lite tegningsmateriale fra opprinnelige tegninger. Skissemessige arkitekttegninger <strong>av</strong> tårnet slik det<br />

opprinnelig var, ble funnet, m<strong>en</strong> ing<strong>en</strong> byggetegninger. Etter rehabilitering<strong>en</strong> framstår stupetårnet med <strong>en</strong> utforming som<br />

harmonerer med opprinnelig formuttrykk, samtidig som det tilfredsstiller dag<strong>en</strong>s tekniske <strong>og</strong> sikkerhetsmessige kr<strong>av</strong>.<br />

The work was undertak<strong>en</strong> in close cooperation with the Directorate for Cultural Heritage. One of the most chall<strong>en</strong>ging tasks<br />

involved reconstructing the tower, because very few of the original drawings were <strong>av</strong>ailable. Some rough architectural sketches<br />

of the original tower were found, but none of the actual constructional drawings. Following its rehabilitation, the diving tower<br />

now has a design that harmonises with that of the original yet still meets modern technical and safety requirem<strong>en</strong>ts.

Service and toilet building, Katt<strong>en</strong> Beach<br />

At Katt<strong>en</strong> Beach, one of <strong>Oslo</strong>’s most popular bathing beaches, the old toilet<br />

building and kiosk had fall<strong>en</strong> into disrepair. Due to the substandard concrete<br />

and foundation, it was decided to pull down the old buildings and replace them<br />

with a new building housing both a kiosk and toilet facilities. The new service<br />

and toilet building was designed with clear refer<strong>en</strong>ces to the old one; among<br />

other things, we reused the natural-stone walls and retained the functionalist<br />

style. The design is simple yet elegant, in concrete and polished steel. The<br />

building houses six ordinary toilets, one accessible toilet and a kiosk. A concrete<br />

platform was poured at the front of the building, on which a concrete fountain<br />

or basin was installed, with taps that are accessible to both adults and childr<strong>en</strong>.<br />

The new building bl<strong>en</strong>ds harmoniously into the landscape and gives visitors to<br />

the beach much-improved toilet and kiosk facilities.<br />

På Katt<strong>en</strong> badeplass, <strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> <strong>Oslo</strong>s mest populære badeplasser, sto<br />

det tidligere et forfall<strong>en</strong>t toalettbygg <strong>og</strong> <strong>en</strong> kiosk. På grunn <strong>av</strong> dårlig<br />

betongkvalitet <strong>og</strong> fundam<strong>en</strong>tering ble det vedtatt å rive de gamle<br />

bygning<strong>en</strong>e <strong>og</strong> erstatte dem med et nytt bygg som inneholdt både<br />

kiosk <strong>og</strong> toaletter.<br />

Det nye service- <strong>og</strong> toalettbygget er bygd med klare referanser til<br />

det gamle, blant annet ved at vi gj<strong>en</strong>bruker de gamle vegg<strong>en</strong>e i<br />

natursteinsmur. Også funkisstil<strong>en</strong> er delvis beholdt. Utførels<strong>en</strong> er<br />

<strong>en</strong>kel, m<strong>en</strong> stilfull i betong <strong>og</strong> lakket stål. Bygget inneholder hele<br />

seks ordinære toaletter, ett HC-toalett, teknisk rom <strong>og</strong> kiosk.<br />

Foran bygget er det støpt <strong>en</strong> platting hvor det står <strong>en</strong> font<strong>en</strong>e eller<br />

vask støpt i betong. Her er det flere kraner tilpasset både voksne <strong>og</strong><br />

barn. Det nye bygget står vakkert i landskapet <strong>og</strong> gir besøk<strong>en</strong>de til<br />

Katt<strong>en</strong> badeplass et sterkt forbedret toalett- <strong>og</strong> kiosktilbud.<br />

Bathing jetty, Solvik Beach<br />

Solvik Beach is <strong>Oslo</strong>’s only camping and bathing site that is adapted for the<br />

physically chall<strong>en</strong>ged. The objective was that the new installation should be<br />

universally designed. The new bathing complex comprises a bathing jetty that<br />

stretches 25 metres out into the water. Railing has be<strong>en</strong> installed at two heights<br />

on both sides of the jetty. At the far <strong>en</strong>d of the jetty there is a bathing platform<br />

where wheelchair users can roll out into an <strong>en</strong>closed pool that is 80 c<strong>en</strong>timetres<br />

deep. The bathing platform itself has two b<strong>en</strong>ches of differ<strong>en</strong>t heights. On the<br />

higher b<strong>en</strong>ch one can sit above the water, while on the lower one one can sit in<br />

the water up to waist height. Those who want to bathe in the un<strong>en</strong>closed area<br />

can do so by op<strong>en</strong>ing a gate on the platform. The water is also deep <strong>en</strong>ough<br />

to dive into from the platform. The site also has a seat b<strong>en</strong>ch and a universally<br />

designed shower. The whole complex has be<strong>en</strong> universally designed, with no<br />

steps or steep inclines and with guide lines leading to the shower and the jetty.<br />

Solvik badeplass er <strong>Oslo</strong>s <strong>en</strong>este camping- <strong>og</strong> badeplass som er<br />

tilrettelagt for funksjonshemmede. Badeplass<strong>en</strong> hadde i mange år <strong>en</strong><br />

baderampe, <strong>og</strong> da d<strong>en</strong> gamle ble utslitt, ble d<strong>en</strong> erstattet med et nytt<br />

badeanlegg som er universelt utformet.<br />

Det nye badeanlegget består <strong>av</strong> <strong>en</strong> badebrygge som strekker<br />

seg 25 meter ut i sjø<strong>en</strong>. Det er rekkverk (håndløper) på begge<br />

sider <strong>av</strong> badebrygga i to høyder. Ytterst står <strong>en</strong> badeplattform<br />

hvor rullestolbrukere kan trille ut i et inngjerdet bass<strong>en</strong>g med <strong>en</strong><br />

vanndybde på 80 cm. Selve badeplattform<strong>en</strong> har to b<strong>en</strong>ker i ulike<br />

høyder. På d<strong>en</strong> øverste b<strong>en</strong>k<strong>en</strong> sitter man over vannet. På d<strong>en</strong><br />

nederste b<strong>en</strong>k<strong>en</strong> sitter man i midjehøyde i vannet. De som vil ut i fritt<br />

vann, kan gjøre det gj<strong>en</strong>nom <strong>en</strong> port i plattform<strong>en</strong>. Det er <strong>og</strong>så dypt<br />

nok til å stupe fra badeplattform<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Til anlegget hører det <strong>og</strong>så med <strong>en</strong> platting hvor det står <strong>en</strong> b<strong>en</strong>k <strong>og</strong><br />

<strong>en</strong> universelt utformet dusj. Hele anlegget er utformet universelt –<br />

ut<strong>en</strong> trinn <strong>og</strong> bratt stigning <strong>og</strong> med ledelinjer til dusj<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> brygga.<br />

Solvikbukta ligger i et naturvernområde med svært str<strong>en</strong>ge<br />

restriksjoner på hva som kan bygges. I utforming<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> brygga er det<br />

tatt særskilt h<strong>en</strong>syn, slik at ikke svaberg <strong>og</strong> naturmiljøet ble skadet.<br />

Hverv<strong>en</strong>bukta Beach and universal design<br />

Hverv<strong>en</strong>bukta is one of <strong>Oslo</strong>’s most popular beaches. The aim was that the beach<br />

should be universally designed. The alteration work comprised the installation<br />

of a g<strong>en</strong>tly sloping ramp leading from the existing trail down to the beach, where<br />

a concrete path runs across the sand down to the sea and the bathing platform.<br />

The platform itself is a small bathing pool with steps halfway down in the water<br />

on which one can sit and a gate that leads out to the sea for those who wish to<br />

swim. The site also has showers installed at differ<strong>en</strong>t heights; one for wheelchair<br />

users and one at standard height. An asphalt pathway runs from the bathing<br />

area to five universally accessible parking spaces located not far from the<br />

beach. The bathing platform is one of three platforms which the City of <strong>Oslo</strong> has<br />

installed in public bathing facilities. The other two are located at S<strong>og</strong>nsvann Lake<br />

and Solvik Beach in Malmøya.<br />

Hverv<strong>en</strong>bukta er <strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> <strong>Oslo</strong>s mest populære badeplasser. Målet var<br />

at anlegget skulle bli universelt utformet, slik at flest mulig kan bruke<br />

anlegget, <strong>og</strong>så rullestolbrukere.<br />

Tilrettelegging<strong>en</strong> har bestått <strong>av</strong> å anlegge <strong>en</strong> slak rampe fra<br />

eksister<strong>en</strong>de turvei <strong>og</strong> ned til stranda. Fra ramp<strong>en</strong> leder så <strong>en</strong><br />

betongvei over sand<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> ned til sjø<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> badeplattform<strong>en</strong>. Selve<br />

badeplattform<strong>en</strong> er et lite badebass<strong>en</strong>g som flyter minimum to meter<br />

over sjøbunn<strong>en</strong>. Plattform<strong>en</strong> gir mange muligheter til å bade trygt;<br />

her er det trinn hvor man kan sitte delvis uti vannet, <strong>og</strong> <strong>en</strong> port ut i<br />

sjø<strong>en</strong> hvis man ønsker å svømme.<br />

Til anlegget hører det <strong>og</strong>så med dusj i to høyder – én høyde for<br />

rullestolbrukere <strong>og</strong> ett dusjhode i ordinær høyde. Fra badeområdet<br />

går <strong>en</strong> asfaltert vei fram til fem HC-parkeringsplasser, som ligger<br />

ikke langt fra stranda. Arbeidet er godt innpasset i kulturmiljøet i<br />

Hverv<strong>en</strong>bukta <strong>og</strong> Stubljan.<br />

Badeplattform<strong>en</strong> er <strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> tre badeplattformer som <strong>Oslo</strong> <strong>kommune</strong><br />

har utplassert på off<strong>en</strong>tlige badeplasser. De to andre ligger på<br />

S<strong>og</strong>nsvann <strong>og</strong> i Solvikbukta på Malmøya. Med oppgradering<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong><br />

badeplass<strong>en</strong> i Hverv<strong>en</strong>bukta – <strong>og</strong> d<strong>en</strong> universelt utformede turvei<strong>en</strong><br />

fra Hverv<strong>en</strong>bukta til Ljanskoll<strong>en</strong> – er friluftstilbudet i <strong>Oslo</strong> blitt<br />

ves<strong>en</strong>tlig mer tilrettelagt.<br />

<strong>Oslo</strong>fjord<strong>en</strong> – har <strong>en</strong> helt spesiell betydning for <strong>Oslo</strong>. Kontakt<strong>en</strong><br />

med vannet knytter sterke bånd til <strong>Oslo</strong>s id<strong>en</strong>titet. Vi er <strong>en</strong><br />

markahovedstad <strong>og</strong> <strong>en</strong> fjordby!<br />

Fjord<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> øy<strong>en</strong>e er <strong>en</strong> gedig<strong>en</strong> skattkiste for utfoldelse <strong>av</strong> friluftsliv.<br />

Slik <strong>Oslo</strong> <strong>kommune</strong> eier store deler <strong>av</strong> Marka, eier vi <strong>og</strong>så mange <strong>av</strong><br />

øy<strong>en</strong>e i indre <strong>Oslo</strong>fjord for å sikre allm<strong>en</strong>nhet<strong>en</strong> friområder.<br />

Det har l<strong>en</strong>ge vært <strong>og</strong> er fremdeles et overordnet mål at mest mulig<br />

<strong>av</strong> d<strong>en</strong>ne herlighet<strong>en</strong> – fjord<strong>en</strong>, øy<strong>en</strong>e <strong>og</strong> strandson<strong>en</strong> – skal<br />

være tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelig <strong>og</strong> til glede for alle som bor <strong>og</strong> besøker <strong>Oslo</strong>. En<br />

viktig del <strong>av</strong> dette arbeidet er å få etablert <strong>en</strong> samm<strong>en</strong>h<strong>en</strong>g<strong>en</strong>de<br />

kyststi <strong>og</strong> gjøre øyer som Husbergøya <strong>og</strong> Håøya mer tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelig<br />

<strong>og</strong> tilrettelagt for publikum. Vi prioriterer <strong>og</strong>så å gjøre natur- <strong>og</strong><br />

friluftsareal<strong>en</strong>e langs sjø<strong>en</strong> mer tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelige for m<strong>en</strong>nesker med<br />

nedsatt funksjonsevne.<br />

Pres<strong>en</strong>tasjon<strong>en</strong> som følger, viser at vi <strong>og</strong>så her de s<strong>en</strong>ere år<strong>en</strong>e<br />

har gj<strong>en</strong>nomført viktige investeringer som både bevarer <strong>og</strong> styrker<br />

mulighet<strong>en</strong>e for utøvelse <strong>av</strong> friluftsliv i indre <strong>Oslo</strong>fjord.<br />

The fjord and the islands<br />

The sea and the fjord that bears the name of the city into<br />

which it leads – the <strong>Oslo</strong> Fjord – h<strong>av</strong>e special significance<br />

for <strong>Oslo</strong>. This proximity to the sea is closely intertwined with<br />

<strong>Oslo</strong>’s id<strong>en</strong>tity: it is a fjord and forest city! The fjord and the<br />

islands repres<strong>en</strong>t an <strong>en</strong>ormous treasure chest of recreational<br />

opportunities. Much in the same way as the City of <strong>Oslo</strong> owns<br />

large areas of the forest, it also owns many of the islands in<br />

the inner <strong>Oslo</strong> Fjord, thereby securing recreational areas for<br />

the g<strong>en</strong>eral public. One of the main aims has long be<strong>en</strong> –<br />

and continues to be – to <strong>en</strong>able as many of these am<strong>en</strong>ities<br />

as possible – the fjord, the islands and the shore zone – to<br />

be accessed and <strong>en</strong>joyed by everyone living in or visiting<br />

<strong>Oslo</strong>. Important parts of this work h<strong>av</strong>e be<strong>en</strong> to establish<br />

a contiguous coastal trail and to make islands, such as<br />

Husbergøya and Håøya, more accessible and better equipped<br />

to accommodate the g<strong>en</strong>eral public. Another priority is to<br />

make gre<strong>en</strong> and recreational areas along the shoreline more<br />

accessible for people with disabilities.<br />

The following pres<strong>en</strong>tation shows how in the past few years<br />

we h<strong>av</strong>e made important investm<strong>en</strong>ts that both preserve and<br />

<strong>en</strong>hance opportunities to <strong>en</strong>joy recreational life in the inner<br />

<strong>Oslo</strong> Fjord.<br />

Granite wall along Fr<strong>og</strong>nerstranda<br />

Fr<strong>og</strong>nerstranda runs along the coastline and is a popular beach prom<strong>en</strong>ade that<br />

was established before the Second World War. Several sections of the concrete<br />

wall had collapsed and were in dire need of repair. The old concrete wall has<br />

be<strong>en</strong> replaced with a new wall built of granite. The new wall is approximately<br />

300 metres long and consists of granite blocks measuring approximately 2<br />

metres high and 30 c<strong>en</strong>timetres wide. The old wall would most likely h<strong>av</strong>e<br />

collapsed completely because the supporting foundation had not be<strong>en</strong> built<br />

deep <strong>en</strong>ough, so the rock mass underneath the wall was being washed out to<br />

sea. Consequ<strong>en</strong>tly, the main chall<strong>en</strong>ge was to lay a stable foundation for the<br />

new wall, and the rock mass was replaced as far as 2 metres into the sea and 2<br />

metres in toward the foot and bicycle path. We chose a coarse-surface granite,<br />

partly because this picked up the similar surface of the granite pedestal of Odd<br />

Hilt’s sculpture Fortuna, which stands at Fr<strong>og</strong>nerkil<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Fr<strong>og</strong>nerstranda ligger langs Fr<strong>og</strong>nerkil<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> er <strong>en</strong> populær<br />

strandprom<strong>en</strong>ade som ble påbegynt allerede før andre verd<strong>en</strong>skrig.<br />

Betongmur<strong>en</strong> innerst i Fr<strong>og</strong>nerkil<strong>en</strong> var rast ut flere steder, <strong>og</strong><br />

rehabilitering var etterl<strong>en</strong>gtet.<br />

D<strong>en</strong> gamle betongmur<strong>en</strong> er erstattet med ny granittmur. D<strong>en</strong> nye<br />

mur<strong>en</strong> er cirka 300 meter lang <strong>og</strong> bygd <strong>av</strong> granittblokker som er cirka<br />

2 meter høye <strong>og</strong> 30 cm brede.<br />

Mur<strong>en</strong> hadde mest sannsynlig rast ut fordi støttefundam<strong>en</strong>tet<br />

lå for grunt, slik at mass<strong>en</strong>e under mur<strong>en</strong> ble vasket ut i sjø<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Hovedutfordring<strong>en</strong> var derfor å legge et stabilt grunnlag for d<strong>en</strong> nye<br />

mur<strong>en</strong>, <strong>og</strong> masser ble skiftet ut cirka to meter ut i sjø<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> to meter<br />

inn i gang- <strong>og</strong> sykkelvei<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Vi valgte granitt med grov overflate, blant annet for å ta opp igj<strong>en</strong><br />

tilsvar<strong>en</strong>de overflate på granittsokkel<strong>en</strong> på Odd Hilts kvinneskulptur<br />

Fortuna, som står i Fr<strong>og</strong>nerkil<strong>en</strong>.<br />

Med rehabilitering<strong>en</strong> er d<strong>en</strong> gamle strandprom<strong>en</strong>ad<strong>en</strong> igj<strong>en</strong> blitt et<br />

attraktivt rekreasjonsområde.<br />

Granite walls and barbecue slabs on Hovedøya Island<br />

The beach on Hovedøya Island showed clear signs of terrain erosion. A<br />

supporting wall was built to prev<strong>en</strong>t erosion and secure this popular beach area<br />

during spring tides and storms. The 22-metre-long granite wall also functions<br />

as seating, thereby reducing further wear and tear of the rock and hill and of the<br />

island’s vulnerable vegetation. Because the wall is located by a popular beach<br />

in a vulnerable conservation area, there are string<strong>en</strong>t requirem<strong>en</strong>ts to aesthetic<br />

design. The wall is constructed of granite blocks in a shade of grey that bl<strong>en</strong>ds in<br />

with the <strong>en</strong>vironm<strong>en</strong>t on the island. Because Hovedøya Island is a conservation<br />

area, op<strong>en</strong> fires and barbecuing is only permitted in designated areas. To<br />

accommodate the numerous visitors to the island – and at the same time<br />

conserve the rare landscape and <strong>av</strong>oid burn marks – we h<strong>av</strong>e laid 14 barbecue<br />

slabs which the public can use wh<strong>en</strong> setting up their barbecues.<br />

På badestranda i Lindøysundet på sørvestsid<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> Hovedøya var det<br />

tydelige erosjonsskader i terr<strong>en</strong>get. Her er det anlagt <strong>en</strong> støttemur,<br />

som skal hindre erosjon <strong>og</strong> sikre det populære strandområdet ved<br />

springflo <strong>og</strong> storm.<br />

D<strong>en</strong> 22 meter lange mur<strong>en</strong> er i granitt <strong>og</strong> fungerer <strong>og</strong>så som<br />

sittekant, noe som <strong>av</strong>laster bruk<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> berget <strong>og</strong> bakk<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> minsker<br />

slitasj<strong>en</strong> på d<strong>en</strong> sårbare vegetasjon<strong>en</strong> som Hovedøya har.<br />

Sid<strong>en</strong> mur<strong>en</strong> står ved <strong>en</strong> populær badeplass i et sårbart<br />

naturvernområde, er det stilt store kr<strong>av</strong> til estetisk utførelse.<br />

Mur<strong>en</strong> er laget <strong>av</strong> grå granittblokker i <strong>en</strong> nyanse som passer med<br />

omgivels<strong>en</strong>e på Hovedøya. Overkant<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> mur<strong>en</strong> har <strong>en</strong> jevn<br />

overflate, m<strong>en</strong>s nedkant<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> høyd<strong>en</strong> på mur<strong>en</strong> varierer etter<br />

terr<strong>en</strong>get. På det høyeste er mur<strong>en</strong> cirka <strong>en</strong> meter høy.<br />

Sid<strong>en</strong> Hovedøya er vernet, er bålbr<strong>en</strong>ning <strong>og</strong> bruk <strong>av</strong> grill tillatt kun<br />

på tilrettelagte områder. For å tilrettelegge for de mange besøk<strong>en</strong>de<br />

til Hovedøya – <strong>og</strong> samtidig bevare d<strong>en</strong> sjeldne natur<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> unngå<br />

brannflekker – har vi plassert ut fjort<strong>en</strong> grillheller hvor publikum<br />

kan plassere grill<strong>en</strong> sin. Hell<strong>en</strong>e er i lysgrå granitt med et pikt<strong>og</strong>ram<br />

sandblåst ned i midt<strong>en</strong>. Hell<strong>en</strong>e er plassert ved badeplass<strong>en</strong> i<br />

Lindøysundet.<br />

Coastal trail on Ormøya and Malmøya<br />

Out of a total of 80 kilometres, approximately 20 kilometres of <strong>Oslo</strong>’s shore zone<br />

is accessible to the public. Approximately 1.5 km of this universally accessible<br />

coastal trail lies on the northern parts of Ormøya and Malmøya. Both are<br />

resid<strong>en</strong>tial islands. On Ormøya we h<strong>av</strong>e rehabilitated an old beach prom<strong>en</strong>ade<br />

and coastal trail. The trail is marked with City of <strong>Oslo</strong>’s coastal trail signposts.<br />

The trail runs past three municipal resid<strong>en</strong>ces with preservation-worthy bathing<br />

huts that are on the Cultural Heritage Managem<strong>en</strong>t Office’s “yellow list” of<br />

buildings worth preserving. The coastal trail on Malmøya runs upwards from the<br />

village store to an observation point where a seat b<strong>en</strong>ch has be<strong>en</strong> installed. This<br />

point offers a good view across to Malmøysund and the neighbouring island,<br />

Ormøya. The trail th<strong>en</strong> continues on into the woods and the nature reserve,<br />

where a path leading down to a west-facing bathing area has be<strong>en</strong> cleared. A<br />

boardwalk and coastal trail h<strong>av</strong>e be<strong>en</strong> established there, and run southwards.<br />

Av <strong>Oslo</strong>s 80 kilometer lange strandsone er cirka 20 km off<strong>en</strong>tlig<br />

tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelig. Cirka 1,5 km <strong>av</strong> d<strong>en</strong>ne off<strong>en</strong>tlige kyststi<strong>en</strong> ligger på d<strong>en</strong><br />

nordlige del<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> Ormøya <strong>og</strong> Malmøya.<br />

På Ormøya har Bymiljøetat<strong>en</strong> rehabilitert <strong>en</strong> gammel<br />

strandprom<strong>en</strong>ade <strong>og</strong> kyststi. Kyststi<strong>en</strong> går gj<strong>en</strong>nom tre kommunale<br />

ei<strong>en</strong>dommer – hvor det står tre bevaringsverdige badehus – <strong>og</strong><br />

fram til <strong>en</strong> gammel steinbrygge, der det er satt opp to b<strong>en</strong>ker.<br />

Rehabilitering<strong>en</strong> innebærer restaurering <strong>av</strong> gamle støttemurer som<br />

var delvis forfalne <strong>og</strong> utraste, fjerning <strong>av</strong> buskas <strong>og</strong> søppel samt<br />

bygging <strong>av</strong> ny bordgang langs strand<strong>en</strong> vestover fra d<strong>en</strong> gamle<br />

steinbrygga. Steinbrygga er blitt gj<strong>en</strong>oppbygd fra grunn<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong>.<br />

Turvei<strong>en</strong> er skiltet med kommun<strong>en</strong>s kyststimerker. En gammel sti <strong>og</strong><br />

trapp fra Heimlibakk<strong>en</strong> er <strong>og</strong>så rehabilitert <strong>og</strong> binder kyststi<strong>en</strong> videre<br />

over øya gj<strong>en</strong>nom et privat parklign<strong>en</strong>de område slik at det er mulig<br />

å gå <strong>en</strong> rundløype på Ormøya.<br />

Kyststi<strong>en</strong> på nordsid<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> Malmøya starter ved landhandel<strong>en</strong> ved<br />

brua <strong>og</strong> fortsetter opp til et utsiktspunkt, hvor det er satt ut <strong>en</strong> b<strong>en</strong>k.<br />

Herfra er det god utsikt til Malmøysund <strong>og</strong> Ormøya. D<strong>en</strong>ne del<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong><br />

kyststi<strong>en</strong> er <strong>en</strong> rehabilitering <strong>av</strong> eksister<strong>en</strong>de sti. Deretter fortsetter<br />

kyststi<strong>en</strong> inn i sk<strong>og</strong><strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> naturreservatet. Fra naturreservatet er det<br />

ryddet <strong>en</strong> sti ned til <strong>en</strong> vestv<strong>en</strong>dt badeplass. Herfra er det etablert <strong>en</strong><br />

bordgang <strong>og</strong> kyststi videre sørover på nedsid<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> Brattoddvei<strong>en</strong> 3.<br />

Prosjektet er <strong>en</strong> del <strong>av</strong> strandsoneprosjektet i <strong>Oslo</strong> <strong>kommune</strong>, der målet er å bedre<br />

allm<strong>en</strong>nhet<strong>en</strong>s tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelighet til strandson<strong>en</strong> <strong>og</strong> lage <strong>en</strong> samm<strong>en</strong>h<strong>en</strong>g<strong>en</strong>de kyststi<br />

der det er mulig. Arbeidet på de kommunale ei<strong>en</strong>domm<strong>en</strong>e har førsteprioritet.<br />

Husbergøya Island – from industry to recreation<br />

Husbergøya Island, which is situated in the inner <strong>Oslo</strong> Fjord, had be<strong>en</strong> polluted<br />

by the industrial activities of former times. A fish oil factory had operated on<br />

the island since the beginning of the 1900s until 1982, wh<strong>en</strong> the owner sold the<br />

<strong>en</strong>tire island and factory plant to the City of <strong>Oslo</strong>. The factory building burned<br />

down a few years later, and all that remained was the concrete floor and some<br />

building materials. Parts of the plant were dumped into the sea and the ground<br />

on the island was he<strong>av</strong>ily polluted. The first phase, which is now completed,<br />

involved removing hazardous waste such as asbestos, concrete and other<br />

remnants of the old factory. One of the biggest chall<strong>en</strong>ges was h<strong>av</strong>ing to carry<br />

out this work on an island, imposing considerable constraints on accessibility.<br />

All the waste was transported by barge to waste disposal sites. In the second<br />

phase we will facilitate recreational activities by installing a toilet/shelter and<br />

build a partly universally accessible harbour for small vessels.<br />

Husbergøya, som ligger rett sør for Langøy<strong>en</strong>e, var forur<strong>en</strong>set<br />

<strong>av</strong> gammel industrivirksomhet. I samarbeid med stat<strong>en</strong> skal øya<br />

omgjøres til <strong>en</strong> friluftsperle.<br />

Fra begynnels<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> 1900-tallet til 1982 lå <strong>en</strong> tran- <strong>og</strong> sildeoljefabrikk<br />

på Husbergøya. På det meste jobbet det ca. tyve mann på<br />

anlegget, som var hele 12 000 m2 <strong>og</strong> hadde <strong>en</strong> høy fabrikkpipe.<br />

Raffineriet hadde eg<strong>en</strong> utskipningsh<strong>av</strong>n, <strong>og</strong> herfra ble produkt<strong>en</strong>e<br />

eksportert verd<strong>en</strong> rundt. I 1982 solgte eier<strong>en</strong> hele øya med<br />

tilhør<strong>en</strong>de fabrikkanlegg til <strong>Oslo</strong> <strong>kommune</strong>. No<strong>en</strong> år s<strong>en</strong>ere<br />

brant selve fabrikkbygning<strong>en</strong>, slik at betonggulvet <strong>og</strong> rester <strong>av</strong><br />

bygningsmaterialer lå igj<strong>en</strong> på øya. Deler <strong>av</strong> anlegget var blitt<br />

dumpet på sjø<strong>en</strong>, <strong>og</strong> det var stor forur<strong>en</strong>sing i grunn<strong>en</strong> på øya.<br />

Første fase er ferdigstilt <strong>og</strong> besto <strong>av</strong> opprydning, dvs. fjerning <strong>av</strong><br />

farlig <strong>av</strong>fall, blant annet asbest, betong <strong>og</strong> andre rester etter d<strong>en</strong><br />

gamle fabrikk<strong>en</strong>. En <strong>av</strong> de største utfordring<strong>en</strong>e har vært at arbeidet<br />

har foregått på ei øy med begr<strong>en</strong>set adkomst. Alt <strong>av</strong>fall ble fraktet<br />

bort med lektere til deponi.<br />

I fase to skal vi tilrettelegge for friluftsliv ved å sette opp et toalett<br />

<strong>og</strong> leskur <strong>og</strong> anlegge <strong>en</strong> delvis universelt tilgj<strong>en</strong>gelig bryggeplass for<br />

småbåter.<br />

Håøya is the largest island in the inner <strong>Oslo</strong> Fjord. This island used to be<br />

a military zone and was off-limits to the public, but today it is a popular<br />

recreational destination. Three new cabins were op<strong>en</strong>ed on Håøya in 2009.<br />

The cabins were r<strong>en</strong>ovated as part of a joint project by the Ag<strong>en</strong>cy for Urban<br />

Environm<strong>en</strong>t and Skjærgårdstj<strong>en</strong>est<strong>en</strong> (a coastal service responsible for<br />

waste collection and managem<strong>en</strong>t of recreational areas along the coastline)<br />

to make them part of the coastal trail network. Furthermore, in order to better<br />

accommodate boat owners who want to r<strong>en</strong>t one of these cabins or use the<br />

recreation areas on Håøya, we built a new guest harbour. The guest harbour now<br />

has 10 new berths and four berths reserved for cabin guests. The guest harbour<br />

is not universally designed but there are plans to build a bigger guest harbour<br />

on the west side of the island where two or three berths will be specially adapted.<br />

Med sine seks kilometer er Håøya d<strong>en</strong> største øya i indre <strong>Oslo</strong>fjord.<br />

L<strong>en</strong>ge var øya lukket <strong>og</strong> forbeholdt Forsvaret, m<strong>en</strong> d<strong>en</strong> er i dag<br />

et populært rekreasjonsmål – ikke minst takket være flere nye<br />

kystledhytter.<br />

I 2009 åpnet tre nye kystledhytter – Eldhuset, Badstua <strong>og</strong><br />

Stranda – på Håøya. Det er Bymiljøetat<strong>en</strong> i samarbeid med<br />

Skjærgårdstj<strong>en</strong>est<strong>en</strong> som har rehabilitert hytt<strong>en</strong>e, slik at de kan<br />

bli <strong>en</strong> del <strong>av</strong> kystled<strong>en</strong>. Kystledhytt<strong>en</strong>e administreres <strong>og</strong> driftes <strong>av</strong><br />

<strong>Oslo</strong>fjord<strong>en</strong>s friluftsråd.<br />

For å tilrettelegge bedre for båtfolk som ønsker å leie seg <strong>en</strong><br />

kystledhytte eller b<strong>en</strong>ytte friområd<strong>en</strong>e på Håøya, har vi i tillegg bygd<br />

<strong>en</strong> ny gjestebrygge. D<strong>en</strong> nye gjestebrygga ligger i Kjøkk<strong>en</strong>bukta<br />

på østsid<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> øya, ikke langt fra kystledhytt<strong>en</strong>e. Gjestebrygga<br />

har ti nye gjesteplasser for båt samt fire plasser som er reservert<br />

kystledhytt<strong>en</strong>e. Gjestebrygga er ikke i utgangspunktet universelt<br />

tilrettelagt, m<strong>en</strong> det er planer om <strong>en</strong> ny <strong>og</strong> større gjesteh<strong>av</strong>n på<br />

vestsid<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> øya, som vil ha to–tre båtplasser som er tilrettelagt.<br />

Det er <strong>og</strong>så planer om å omgjøre øyas eldste hus, «Gamlegård<strong>en</strong>»<br />

– hvor bestyrer<strong>en</strong> <strong>av</strong> Haaø<strong>en</strong> Fabriker bodde – til Håøyas fjerde<br />

kystledhytte.<br />

investeringsprosjekter som <strong>Oslo</strong> <strong>kommune</strong> de s<strong>en</strong>ere år<strong>en</strong>e har gj<strong>en</strong>nomført<br />

for å bevare <strong>og</strong> styrke <strong>Oslo</strong>s blågrønne struktur. Med unntak <strong>av</strong> Fr<strong>og</strong>nerborg<strong>en</strong><br />

er alle investeringsprosjekt<strong>en</strong>e fra 2007–2011.<br />

investm<strong>en</strong>t projects which the City of <strong>Oslo</strong> has undertak<strong>en</strong> in rec<strong>en</strong>t years in<br />

order to str<strong>en</strong>gth<strong>en</strong> <strong>Oslo</strong>’s blue-gre<strong>en</strong> structure. With the exception of Fr<strong>og</strong>ner<br />
