ATENDIMENTO<br />
As Unidades de Pronto Atendimento (UPA) funcionam<br />
24 horas por dia, sete dias por semana, e podem<br />
resolver grande parte das urgências e emergências,<br />
como pressão e febre alta, fraturas, cortes, infarto<br />
e derrame. Com isso ajudam a diminuir as filas nos<br />
prontos-socorros dos hospitais.<br />
A unidade inova ao oferecer estrutura simplificada,<br />
com raio-X, eletrocardiografia, pediatria, laboratório<br />
de exames e leitos de observação. Nas localidades<br />
que contam com UPA, 97% dos casos são solucionados<br />
na própria unidade.<br />
Cada uma tem um custo médio de R$ 5 milhões, sendo<br />
recursos do governo federal com contrapartida do<br />
município.<br />

Além dos novos prédios, a Prefeitura<br />
de <strong>Aparecida</strong> investe na melhoria<br />
das unidades já existentes, algumas<br />
com mais de 20 anos e que nunca<br />
passaram por uma grande reforma.<br />
É o caso do Centro de Saúde Madre<br />
Germana, que foi reconstruído pela<br />
atual gestão; da reforma e ampliação<br />
do Cais Nova Era; do Cais Colina<br />
Azul; e da reforma da Maternidade<br />
Marlene Teixeira, em andamento.<br />

dos Afonsos, com 23 especialidades médicas e duas salas de cirurgia de<br />
