Não se trata doreceptor em si, nem do tipo de antenas de utilizamos, mas sim a maneira como utilizamos o aterramento para a eliminaçãode interferências eletromagnéticas, as fami ngeradas EMIs.Adalberto Marques de AzevedoBarbacena – MGVamos desmistificar o aterramento ?Falaremos neste artigo, sobre o aterramento que devemos utilizar em nossas estações de radio escuta, o qual tem umaespecificidade diferente das demais para as quais se utiliza um aterramento elétrico.Quando se fala de aterramento, com certeza, é um assunto que gera um número enorme de dúvidas quanto às normase diretrizes que se deve obedecer para a sua instalação, oque gera um grande número de opiniões, muitas vezes atédiversas, que criam uma aura de assunto “meio tabu” no mundo dexista.

Mas na realidade o aterramento elétrico utilizado como recurso nas escutas não se trata de algo de difícil confecção einstalação, sendo porém um dispositivo primordial para o efetivo funcionamento de um sistema de escuta.O aterramento elétrico tem duas funções principais, as quais não apresentam muita ligação direta com as nossas escutasde Rádio propriamente ditas, as quais são:Proteger as pessoas:– Proteger o usuário do equipamento das descargas atmosféricas, através da viabilização de um caminho alternativopara a terra, de descargas atmosféricas; pois com aterramento, a corrente praticamente não circula pelo corpo e sematerramento, o único caminho é o corpoPorém este tipo de aterramento deve ser montado com bastante conhecimento e técnica, pois um aterramento com afinalidade de proteção que seja mau montado, incorrerá num aumento do risco para o\as pessoas espostas na área. Umaterramento de proteção contra descargas atmosféricas, mau feito, é muito mais perigoso, do que não se possuir nenhumaterramento.Não detalharemos este tipo de aterramento, por não ser o objetivo básico deste artigo.Descarregar cargas estáticas dos equipamentos:– “Descarregar” cargas estáticas acumuladas nas carcaças das máquinas ou equipamentos para a terra.Corpo (estruturas, suportes, carcaças, etc.) isolado da Terra, com carga acumulada, pois tal como na descrição anterior,um corpo ligado à Terra, fica sem carga acumulada, enquanto que sem aterramento, o único caminho é o corpo e eleacumula a carga.

Tal como no exemplo do aterramento de proteção pessoas contra descargas atmosféricas, este também não pode ser umaterramento mau feito, pois seu funcionamento incorreto é mais danoso que a ausência dele.Aterramento para eliminação de EMI ( Interferências eletromagnéticas):Porém, além desta funções, ditas principais, o aterramento possui uma outra, de muito significado nos nossos sistemas derecepção de ondas hertezianas, que é o de propiciar a eliminação da EMI (Interferências Eletromagnéticas), tornando arecepção de rádio mais limpa para uma melhor audição e identificação das emissoras captadas.Porém devemos ressaltar que este aterramento, mesmo oferecendo ótimo desempenho para a eliminação de interferênciaseletromagnéticas, não se trata de um aterramento que protegerá o dexista de descargas atmosféricas nem de choqueselétricos através da carcaça dos equipamentos que estejam ligados á rede de alimentação.Mas antes de falarmos sobre esta função, devemos ter conhecimento das diferenças que existem entre três aspectos relativosao mesmo, os quais precisam ser bem definidos e entendidos, antes de passemos a estudar o aterramento em si.Estas três definições que precisamos entender são: Aterramento, Neutro e massa.Considerando uma ligação à rede elétrica, que possui duas fases e um neutro. Essa alimentação é fornecida pelaconcessionária de energia elétrica, que somente liga a caixa de entrada ao poste externo se houver uma haste deaterramento padrão dentro do ambiente do usuário. Além disso, a concessionária também exige disjuntores de proteção.Teoricamente, o terminal neutro da concessionária deve ter potencial igual a zero volt. Porém, devido ao desbalanceamentonas fases do transformador de distribuição, é comum esse terminal tender a assumir potenciais diferentes de zero.O desbalanceamento de fases ocorre quando temos consumidores com necessidades de potências muito distintas, ligadas emum mesmo link. Por exemplo, um transformador alimenta, em um setor seu, uma residência comum, e no outro setor, um pequenosupermercado. Essa diferença de demanda, em um mesmo link, pode fazer com que o neutro varie seu potencial (flutue). Paraevitar que esse potencial “flutue”, ligamos (logo na entrada) o fio neutro a uma haste de terra. Sendo assim, qualquer potencialque tender a aparecer será escoado para a terra. Porém, dentro da nossa própria residência, poderá ocorrer esta flutuação noneutro e desta maneira o mesmo poderá apresentar circulação de corrente e por isso, em hipótese alguma, se poderá utilizar oneutro da residência, como ponto de aterramento, para a eliminação de interferências eletromagnéticas (EMI).Mas, ao mesmo tempo, ligamos sua carcaça através de outro condutor na mesma haste, e damos o nome desse condutorde “terra”. Pergunta “fatídica”: Se o neutro e o terra estão conectados ao mesmo ponto (haste de aterramento), porque umé chamado de terra e o outro de neutro?Aqui vai a primeira definição: o neutro é um “condutor” fornecido pela concessionária de energia elétrica, pelo qual há o“retorno” da corrente elétrica.O terra é um condutor construído através de uma haste metálica e que, em situações normais, não deve possuir correnteelétrica circulante.Resumindo: A grande diferença entre terra e neutro é que, pelo neutro há corrente circulando, e pelo terra, não. Quandohouver alguma corrente circulando pelo terra, normalmente ela deverá ser transitória, e é descarregada para a terra.O fio terra, por norma, vem identificado pelas letras PE, e deve ser de cor verde e amarela. Notem ainda que ele está ligadoà carcaça dos equipamentos.A carcaça dos equipamentos (receptores ou qualquer outro equipamento) é o que chamamos de “massa”.A ABNT (Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas) possui uma norma que rege o campo de instalações elétricas embaixa tensão. Os três sistemas da NBR 5410 mais utilizados na indústria ou ligações comerciais são:Neste sistema a concessionária distribui as três fases (A, B e C), o neutro (N) e também oaterramento (PE), tal como vemos na figura acima.No sistema TN-C, o fio terra e o neutro são constituídos pelo mesmo condutor. Dessavez, sua identificação é PEN (e não PE, como o anterior). Podemos notar pela figura 3que, após o neutro ser aterrado na entrada, ele próprio é ligado ao neutro e à massa doequipamento.

O sistema TT é o mais eficiente de todos. Pois nele, vemos que o neutro é aterrado logo naentrada e segue (como neutro) até a carga (equipamento). A massa do equipamento é aterradacom uma haste própria, independente da haste de aterramento do neutro.Quando utilizamos aterramentos, como no caso de nossos receptores, devemos sempreutilizá-los no sistema TT, caso não seja possível se utilizar o sistema TT deve-se em segundaopção utilizar o sistema TN-S, pois o sistema TN-C somente deve ser utilizado em último caso,e mesmo assim esta solução tenderá a dar possibilidade da ocorrência de falhas no nossosistema de aterramento.Os cálculos e variáveis para dimensionar um aterramento podem ser considerados complexos. A resistividade e tipo dosolo, geometria e constituição da haste de aterramento, formato em que as hastes são distribuídas, são alguns dos fatoresque influenciam o valor da resistência do aterramento. Como não podemos abordar tudo isso em um único artigo, daráalgumas “dicas” que, com certeza, irão ajudar.As implicações de um mau aterramento:Ao contrário do que muitos pensam, os problemas que um aterramento deficiente pode causar não se limitam apenasaos aspectos de segurança. É bem verdade que os principais efeitos de uma máquina mau aterrada são choqueselétricos ao operador, e resposta lenta (ou ausente) dos sistemas de proteção (fusíveis, disjuntores, etc...). Mas umoutro problema operacional podem ter origem no aterramento deficiente, que é o excesso de EMI gerado (interferênciaseletromagnéticas).Como montar o sistema de aterramento contra interferências eletromagnéticas.Como dizem os norte-americanos, um Ground System, ou seja um sistema de aterramento é de primordial importânciapara todo shack de radioescuta.Relembro mais uma vez que quando menciono o aterramento, não estou falando em sistema de aterramento para proteçãoda estação contra descargas atmosféricas, pois este deverá ser um sistema muito mais efetivo, com capacidade de drenargrandes correntes para terra; o aterramento que menciono neste artigo se trata do aterramento que o radioescuta irá utilizarcomo complemento em seu sistema de recepção com a finalidade de drenar para terra os sinais de baixa intensidade,provocados por eletricidade estática e outros fenômenos e que causam muito ruído na recepção de emissoras de rádio.Por ter esta finalidade primpordial de derivar para a terra os sinais interferentes, o aterramento tem um grande importânciana melhoria das condições de ewscuta, pois permite ao dexista, eliminar aquela “zoeira” perturbadora, tornando o canalmais limpo, facilitando a demodulação do áudio da emissora que se pretende escutar.Este tipo de aterramento requer, porém, alguns cuidados, para que seja realmente efetivo.Não basta enterrar uma haste metálica no chão e conectar um fio que servirá de conexão de aterramento.Existem alguns fatores que tem de ser observados, que são as condições de drenagem de sinais que o solo irá oferecer.Para se melhorar estas condições, existem alguns artifícios que o radio escuta poderá utilizar, melhorando o desempenhodeste sistema de aterramento.Se você deseja construir um sistema destes,recomento que inicie cavando um burado circularcom cerca de 40 centímetros de diâmetro e por uns50 centímetros de profundidade.Dentro desde buraco, bem ao centro é que deveráse fincar a haste de aterramento, a qual deveráser do tipo apropriado utilizado nas entradas dealimentação residenciais, ou seja uma haste dematerial galvanizado ou uma haste recoberta porcobre. Além disso esta haste deverá ter 2 metrosde comprimento no mínimo.Ela deverá ser enterrada cerca de 1,40 metros nocentro do buraco, e após isso se completa todo oburaco com pedra britrada de aproximadamente 2cm de tamanho.Fazendo-se isso, acontecerá de ficar cerca de10 cm da haste aparecendo na superfície após acolocação da pedra britada.Será nesta terminação da haste que deverá se

(Enid`s part-15 ``WECS`` has been inactive since last reportin April or May but too far from the home shack to matter anyway.)
