Na província de Gansu, no noroeste da China, encontram-se os restos de inúmeros prisioneiros abandonados
no Deserto de Gobi há sessenta anos. Designados “ultra-direitistas” na Campanha Anti-Direitista de 1957 do
Partido Comunista, morreram à fome em campos de reeducação. O filme convida-nos a conhecer os sobreviventes,
para descobrir, em primeira mão, quem foram essas pessoas, as adversidades que tiveram de suportar
e qual foi o seu destino.
In Gansu Province, northwest China, lie the remains of countless prisoners abandoned in the Gobi Desert sixty
years ago. Designated as “ultra-rightists” in the Communist Party’s Anti-Rightist campaign of 1957, they starved to
death in the Jiabiangou and Mingshui reeducation camps. The film invites us to meet the survivors of the camps to
find out firsthand who these people were, the hardships they were forced to endure and what became their destiny.

Quando uma criança de 13 anos de idade, que perdeu a maior parte da família sob o regime do Khmer Vermelho,

a busca por paz espiritual, tanto para quem foi morto quanto para os sobreviventes do sistema político que
dominou o Camboja na década de 1970.
When a 13 years old kid, who has lost most of his family under Khmer Rouge’s regime, goes on a search for the
graves of his relatives, what will be found? The documentary film shows the search for spiritual peace, both for
who was killed and for the survivors of the political system that dominated Cambodia in the 1970s.
