A Tiring and Exciting Walk<br />
On this walk we will go from AMA to<br />
Crescer Sempre. People should try to<br />
notice the <strong>Paraisópolis</strong> Ballet wall, the<br />
view <strong>of</strong> the slope and the wall <strong>of</strong> Forró<br />
da Juliana. On the way to the slope<br />
there’s a little hole that sometimes<br />
is filled with rainwater. We will hear<br />
cars, motorcycles, maybe kids and bus<br />
sounds. We will smell the sewage, the<br />
bakery, the smoke and the cars. It will be<br />
a tiring and exciting tour.<br />
A Walk in Two Parks<br />
<strong>The</strong> walk starts at <strong>Paraisópolis</strong><br />
Municipal Park. We will notice it is<br />
a very good place to relax and meet<br />
friends. On the other side <strong>of</strong> the street<br />
we will see the AMA Hospital. After<br />
AMA, people will go to another park<br />
called Praça da Cidadania (Citizenship<br />
Square). In the park, people <strong>of</strong> all<br />
ages can use the playground and then,<br />
everybody will go to Damião Bakery, a<br />
good place to buy food.<br />
A Walk with a Good Reward<br />
This is a short walk from Cultura<br />
Inglesa to Damião. It’s an exhausting<br />
walk as you have to climb a lot <strong>of</strong> stairs<br />
and hills. In the end you will have a good<br />
reward: sweets and savoury goods. You’ll<br />
notice many potholes, narrow streets<br />
and busy streets. You’ll visit many stores<br />
and you’ll listen to people talking, car<br />
engines and animal noises.<br />
A Cool Walk<br />
This is a short walk <strong>of</strong> about 9 minutes<br />
from Einstein to Palmeirinha. You’ll<br />
see many restaurants, one Casas Bahia,<br />
mini shopping malls, Rua da Feira,<br />
many cars all the time, supermarkets,<br />
stores and Paulo Freire School in front<br />
<strong>of</strong> Palmeirinha. Watch for the music,<br />
bicycles and many elderly people. Be<br />
careful <strong>of</strong> the cars and motorcycles<br />
getting in your way. This walk will be<br />
very cool because <strong>of</strong> the kids you can<br />
play with.<br />
A Walk With Many Cats<br />
Leaving the AMA, go up through the big<br />
stairs (“escadão”). On the way, there is a<br />
tattoo parlour and a house full <strong>of</strong> plants.<br />
<strong>The</strong>re are also buildings on the way<br />
that have lots <strong>of</strong> cats walking around.<br />
At the end <strong>of</strong> the stairs, there is a snack<br />
